Picture Contest Ireland

The winner of the Netherlands' Picture Contest is Shawtyl0w. I am really glad he won, because he was the only one providing nice explanation for each of the pictures he proposed.

The top 3 was:
I - 6. Delta works (Zeeland) - 19 vote points;
II - 3. Netherlands, North Holland, windmill at sunset - 12 vote points;
III - 8. Amsterdam at night - 11 vote points.

I am also glad I did not reach top 3 with my pictures, that shows other players were more inspired than me.

=================

This is the voting phase for Netherlands' Picture Contest.

I would like to tell you again that the purpose of this kind of articles is to encourage native people to promote their countries with pictures about places that you don't usually find on the Internet. The more valuable are the comments describing the picture.
It is the will of the voters to decide which pictures inspire them the most regarding the country I am virtually visiting in my article.

Please vote for you favorite picture. You can cast up to three votes. I will count first vote as 3 points, second as 2 points and third as 1 point. The voting phase will end at 10:00 eRep time on day 3282.

1. Holland, Amsterdam, Houseboats on canal

2. Dutch Windmill and tulips in a field during spring

3. Netherlands, North Holland, windmill at sunset

4. Canals in Utrecht:
The Netherlands is famous for it's canals. Of course as tourist attraction the world famous Amsterdam canals are a sight seeing attraction but many other cities in our country also have canal belts.(look some up if you want)

5. Amersfoort
Amersfoort is a city with a beautiful and old city center. It's a great place to go for a holiday weekend with a loved one. The city center is home to a beautiful square which in summer is converted into a terrace while the side streets are filled with restaurants and bars. You can also rent a small motorboat and sail across the river Eems to the Eem lake.

6. Delta works (Zeeland)
The Netherlands, is known for its dykes. Our country borders the North sea. We've battled the water and used it to our advantage for ages. We continue to do so internationally. Our dyke experts advice and draw up architectural plans for many countries. The sight for the Delta Works is very impressive. Especially when a storm is raging and the water slams into the sturdy structure.

7. Tulip fields, Spoorbuurt, Holland

8. Amsterdam at night

9. Sunrise in Amsterdam

10. Zaanse Schans village
