C. About eAustralia History
I received consistent messages from several players, it is the most info I received by now in all the countries I traveled. I will just add them here.

From Guagature:

"One of my memories of Aus are how most Aussies are forgiving in their nature and band together to fight for a common cause.

Going back around February 2011 I was in a MU in Canada called TCO (The Crimson Order) we quite often trolled Aus and the local Aussie MU The Knighthawks (by trying to steal members/locals), during early 2011 Australia was renting between themselves and New Zealand all was going well until TCO got bored and started a RW in Tasmania for the lulz. Well it is fair to say that IRC became a hive of activity by the locals and CrusaderCarl (local NZ player) about who was at fault for starting the RW, it became quickly known that a TCO member was behind it. It did end well as NZ kept the region and the friendship between NZ and Aus stayed the same.

To show what type of guys the Aussie’s can be is after the game changed that it no longer became viable that TCO stayed together as a group, members of the Knighthawks opened their doors for the Australian TCO unit to become a KH member without any hard feelings of the past.

For the KH’s: RIP Sam Cougar"

From Ranger Bob:

"I have far too many. I suppose I will start with my early times.

I joined eRepublik in early 2009. At the time, eAustralia was occupied, and subject to the Australia-Indonesia Region Return Agreement (AIRRA). This followed complete occupation of eAustralia, by eIndo, who at the time were pretty much the dominant force over this side of the eWorld (and to many at the time probably the eWorld as a whole). I think back in 2009 we had NSW and Tasmania back. WA was always the hold-out for indo, as they wanted its resources for themselves.

Two things I remember about eAustralia at the time. One was that people were friendly, and most importantly, they were active. You would barely go a day back then without an article talking about something to do with either ideas to structure ourselves, consider how to get involved in wars or whether we should keep trying with the AIRRA or break out and tell I do to get stuffed. At the time, we had no regions, there was no citizenship module, no alliances for eAus as the AIRRA in effect dictated we couldn't, and back then you had to be in an active country involved in a war to fight so couldn't even get training wars.

BUT the community was active. Over the following months, under people like Derek Apollyon, Xavier Griffith, Cottus and even Patti11 there was massive growth in Aus. At our peak, I think we had nearly 700 people not just active on paper, but genuinely commenting and contributing. It was good times, even though at heart we had little country.

Oh, and we had fun detractors. Australian Warlord was probably the most divisive at the time, as he and some friends had basically built their own relationship with eRomania and we're trying to get Aus to join ATLANTIS.

Anyway - what do I remember. Well, we had a very active congress (Senate) back then. There was many an occasion you could actually get all of them online to IRC to debate stuff and action things in real time.

One thing that didn't change was infighting. People were really fighting hard over whether we should stick with the plan with indo, or join an alliance. At the time, mainly because we couldn't find an alliance that would stick with us beyond liberating the regions we didn't have, the majority early on wanted to stick with the agreement. But, time kept lagging out, and whenever we appeared to be getting close to WA as the final region the deal would change.

So, a few Aussies dreamt up Operation Two-Fold Bay. In short, this changed our footing with Indo, delivered back WA at the time and forced us into joining EDEN (which had replaced a failing ATLANTIS alliance which fractured into a EU/US split). Though a lot of people celebrated (and should have - for a glorious moment, in over a year we were FREE), almost immediately fighting started again, and we again became subject to Indo, who were now agitated and more antagonistic to Aus than ever.

I mention this context, as, when we were under these conflicts out activity exploded. But, you think infighting is bad now, back then it was INSANE. But also a lot of fun, as people used to take the piss a lot more.

It's probably my fondest time/memories associated with this game, as there was ALWAYS something going on.

During all that time I was in politics mainly, and the military. One of the good things about the military was we used to coordinate more, I remember one night fighting for SA until about 5 in the morning local time - it was fun, and we all hit with about 100 people who stuck with the fighting in the last 10 minutes of the battle to demolish the wall (back then under v1 was a but different in how fighting occurred). But boy it was fun.

Anyway that's some early rambles/thoughts on my time and covers about my first year. As you can see it would take a novel to write everything that happened - 2010-13 had a lot of highs and lows also - PTOs, changes to the game etc. Good times."

And from Henry the 8th:

"I can list a few oldies but not in detail tonight.

KnightHawks was founded back in 2009/2010, we were friends with most major MUs back in the day including TCO 😉 RIP Sam Cougar 🙁

We used to have fun back then too, Miss Wolf had the "More Beer Party" which kept a lot of fun in the game and kept people engaged.

Our ADF was also our second strongest force behind KHs, we had players that were super tanks and gold buyers, these were the days where battles would last for like 40 hours and battle walls were exciting to watch, the activity of players was epic with IRC running so hard you had to scroll up just to read it all in real time 😛

V2 was another brilliant idea but was executed poorly with multies ruining the concept, but the diversity in training, working and manufacturing gave a truly dynamic aspect to the game and the controversial battlefield was also really fun if you had a few people working together, these were the days where Skype was used almost religiously.

Another fun thing that used to get people involved was the media, there was so much activity that it was a privilege and an achievement just to make the top 5 😃 The main reason behind that was the ability to run advertisements which added an interesting and interactive approach to articles, even I managed over 4000 votes on 2 individual articles, and that wasn't buying/cheating either, I didn't even use graphics 😛"

A new message came from infin:
"Some of the most exciting times in my history were Cerb presidency years when there was a senate deadlock which cut off funding to the government, and then the sir_c0nstant years when he was caught stealing funds and reported to the Inspector General.

Under the old eAus forums created by Xavier Griffith we had many roles assigned to assist the operation of government. The Inspector General (IG) was an "independent" arbitrator of government conduct to keep the government of the day honest. The IG was also entitled to access all government records including secret records. The Speaker was manager of the Senate business (congress). These additional roles created a lot more conflict, excitement,

Finally the most exciting era of the lot for me was the Discrate1, DocterDry, DocterDry2 period for the game where I met a very good friend in erep and together we conquered Australian politics.

Larni Kaddlestorm was a fun aggressive player, she rated herself very highly and never amounted to much.

We loved being in the media and creating memes to communicate the messages of the day. If you feel like reminiscing have a look through my newspaper, Infin's Insider."

And a short comment from Thedillpickl:
"I would add that a couple years ago, around the time I was CP, Canada had problems with Albainia, FYROM and or course the US decided to occupy. Australia loaned us cc that they really didn't have to give and fought for us with everything they had. No matter where I may wonder in eRep Australia will always be one of the few countries that I will help no questions asked."
