Peace with PEACE? (And Other News)

WOLRD WAR III NEWS
As everyone knows by now, yesterday President Emerick agreed to surrender to PEACE by signing off on a treaty passed by Congress. Soon after the treaty was proposed, Russia rejected it, claiming that they are not extorting nearly enough GOLD from the United States. Portugal however has agreed to sign the treaty and Zoli points out that all other PEACE nations stand to gain much by signing on.

The move for a peace treaty has drawn the ire of many in the United States and throughout our allies, though, and Senator Stanwick has initiated impeachment proceedings against President Emerick, though this is being ridiculed by most in the United States, with former President Richardson (who would succeed Emerick) saying that he would disregard the treaty and retreat every region except for New Hampshire if Emerick was impeached. Groups like the Sons of Liberty are promising to do all they can to sabotage this treaty.

PEACE, meanwhile, is embroiled in its own internal struggles. The Italians recently attempted to impeach the Supreme Commander of PEACE, but matters were taken care of behind closed doors. Nonetheless the fact that it became such a public problem shows that trouble is brewing inside PEACE. To make matters worse for them, it is reported that the President of Russia has just robbed the state treasury and made off with all their gold.

Vermont has been conquered by Russia. Resistance attempts in Pennsylvania, Kansas, and South Dakota have been thwarted by the Russians. The Canadians have managed to regain Nova Scotia from the Brits, but the resistance in Alberta failed. The Russians have invaded Connecticut, and there is currently a resistance war being fought in Idaho. Spain is getting hit pretty hard by the French.

The Indonesians recently completed a summit atop Mount Tangkuban Perahu on Java. Among some light-hearted poking fun at this gathering in eUS discussions, George Barker humorously jabbed, "Hey, show some respect. Those 30-odd people represent about 300 active accounts!"

OTHER NEWS
Ajay Bruno and and Jaxon have come under harsh criticism from everyone in the eUS from ordinary citizens to the president himself for their use of citizen ads while running to become president of the Conservative Victory Party, accusing them of frivolously wasting gold for the leadership of a second-tier political party that could better be used being spent to defend our country from obliteration. "Get over yourselves, people. You're supposed to be in politics because you care about country first," scathed Chocolate McSkittles.

There will be a Congressional Q&A tonight so the eUS Congress can field questions concerning the recent treaty.
