The only quitters are those that now give up on the eUS; I cannot believe people are so quick to jump to conclusions and bail just when their country needs them most. We have a 4 month reprieve to not only help rebuild our own economy, but also assist our allies under attack while not having to split our forces between our home turf and those of our allies.
But if one is the type to run with their tail between their legs the moment something happens that goes against one's ego, then perhaps the country is better off without.
We will see what happens in the near future.

My goal since the start of this war was to fight PEACE tooth and nail until we beat them back or the entire world is owned by PEACE. eUSA has now taken the easy way out. If eUSA had been conquered everyone would have just moved to a country still fighting PEACE until the day we could have taken everything back.
I will still do this. I am a citizen of the USA not the eUSA any longer. I do not side with those that cower in the face of oblivion. You stare death right in the eye and spit at it. You may not survive but at least you died for your ideals.

I don't understand why some people do not grasp that a) we can still support our allies militarily via MPP b) we don't have to split our forces between the home front and our allies c) we have a chance to rebuild our economy unfettered for the next 4 months.
Having PEACE take all of the eUS under their dictatorship would have served nothing as we would have no economy to rebuild and even fewer opportunities to assist our allies.

How is preserving the merely technical existence of the eUSA more important than sustaining a genuine resistance effort? Is nominal existence on the map worth the price of strengthening PEACE? How are we helping our allies - even if we can fight in Spain, we'll be fighting against money from our own coffers.

Its sad to see experienced players calling the man who saved us from certain defeat a traitor. With this treaty Emerick has effectively keept us on the map and given us a chance to recover some of our losses. The idea of going down guns blazing is an atractive one. Who wouldent like to take part in the biggest battle in eRepublik history (Florida) and be able to say they didnt back down. It would be courageous, honorable but after our fall what then? Half of us would move to Spain or Romania or Greece the other half would stay for RWs. Revolt would be stamped out time after time and eAmerica would only be spoken of as a lond ago defeated ennemy of PEACE. take a look at RL, Hitler went down guns blazing, Napoleon went down guns blazing, Sparta went down guns blazing but where are they now? What influence do they have on the world today? Emerick did the best he could with what he was given and saved eAmerica from becoming another conquered empire. He has given us the hope the chance to rise once again when the time is right. For all of those who disagree with Emerick...you are the real traitor for deserting your president in such a difficult time.

Americans, don't listen to this guy's thinly veiled attempts to build up Greece at our own expense. We need our own workers to rebuild our country. Regardless of your opinions on the treaty, the simple fact is that we need every American to help rebuild America, by working, fighting, voting, whatever. If you disagree with the treaty, vote Emerick out, but at least stay in America and contribute to the solution, instead of prolonging the problem.

Nice, Australian apologists who were too prideful to recognize when they were beat expect us to make the same mistake that they did. I don't think very many Americans at all are happy that we have to accept defeat, but at the same time, the alternatives are far worse for the future of our country. To expect us to throw logic and reason out the window for the sake of pride is completely asinine, and to castigate us for not doing so only shows your shortsightedness.
