Q10 with GoalieBCSC (Master of the MI)

The Q10 (Ten Quick Questions) – Goalenator Edition with General of the MI and eUS Comptroller General, GoalieBCSC.



Q1: You are currently the General of the USMI (United States Mobile Infantry). Can you explain what role the USMI fulfills in the eUS military and what prospective citizens can expect when applying? What specifically sets the MI apart from other branches?

GoalieBCSC: The USMI is designed to be a stepping stone from the Training Corps (TC) onto branches that have a higher minimum activity and strength requirement. The MI is also known as one of the more relaxed branches, I run the branch quite different than any type of RL mil, as I am in the RL mil and use this as a way to get away from parts of it. I still expect the best from my troops, but I understand that some people cannot give all their time to erep. Some of my officers have busy rl's and we make it so they can still do their jobs without dedicating all the time in the world to IRC.

Q2: As a member of the JCS, can you explain what you believe the greatest threat to the eUS is militarily speaking?

GoalieBCSC: I believe the biggest threat to the US is the new balkan alliance that is trying to be brokered right now. Serbia and Poland combining could be a very bad thing for our allies and former allies, including the eUS.

Q3: In addition to being the General of the MI, you are also the eUS Comptroller General. Can you explain what your position does and what you’re responsible for in the eUS government?

GoalieBCSC: The position of the Comptroller General is to ensure government programs are spending any money they recieve in proper fashion. My position requires the trust of all three branches of our government as I can request access into any orgs if I see something out of the ordinary, then I start a formal investigation. With a investigation, I've talked to those that control the orgs and look inside the orgs, I'll look at MM offers, companies, donations to see if there is anything wrong. I've also taken control of Orgs before when something has happened, to return them to the proper owner when they get onto IRC next.

Q4: Since you are involved in the economic analysis and auditing of eUS government orgs, what is your take on some of the current debates going on regarding the tax rate, minimum wage, the use of MM transfers within government orgs and the current eUS budget, especially in regards to a military minimum safeguard?

GoalieBCSC: I strongly oppose any restriction on MM transfers outside of AA, OMS, and any DoI. Being a General and using communes daily, It would just be another law that was useless passed as it makes things impossible anyway. I think people are trying to complicate this budget way too much. This is not RL, as such, we should not play the game like it is real life. Game mechanics should not be ignored when making any type of law. I find it interesting that congress wants to redistribute military funds, without really know what would be best. Right now, the system of distributing a lump sum to the CJCS (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) so he can distribute as he sees fit. With regard to minimum wage, I think it should be raised, but only to 4 usd, and not to 8 usd which is the current proposal.

Q5: Since you are involved in both the military and political side of the eUS, can you explain why there is generally so much animosity and mistrust between the two sides? And what do you think can be done to help bring the sides together to work collaboratively?

GoalieBCSC: The mistrust both sides have towards each other is generally due to lack of communication and a belief that either side is trying to play the other. I believe that Inwegen's NSA that he proposed is not an ideal way to do it, seeing as I have never been informed of it. 🙂 I see a lot of it has the military has been independent for so long, many people outside of the military do not like this. Likewise, the military has been independent for a long time, and it works, so they believe in keeping the status quo(which works quite well. There is no short term fix for the "problem". I don't know how to fix it.



Q6: Yesterday, the eUS elected Haliman the 27th President of the United States. What can he do to build a good working relationship with JCS and the eUS military instead of an adversarial one?

GoalieBCSC: Communicate. The President does not have to become buddy buddy or friends with us, but there must be a good working relationship. There might be preconcieved notions about either side, just ask for help, talk to us like humans and we'll get along fine. That being said, just because we don't agree with a plan, doesn't mean we hate or dislike the president, we are realists in terms of what can and can't be done, we know the strength of our armed forces better than anyone else.

Q7: If you were in a potato sack race against fellow JCS members RalphyNoPants, HisAirness and Nuriessa, who would win and why?

GoalieBCSC: It would be a close race, but I think I would win. Nuriessa would attempt to distract everyone before the race, while RNP is very aerodynamic without his pants on. HisAirness would be asleep due to jetlag from flying halfway across the world for a potato race sack. In the end I would win due to the holes I cut in the bottom of the sack before the race... >.> <.>
Q8: Who is your personal eHero and why?

GoalieBCSC: Deificus, The only two time general in the eUS. He was general of the Mobile Infantry and Commandant of the Marine Corps. I have tried to follow his lead when it comes to leading my branch. He has been one of my closest confidants for almost 13-14 months. He's not very well known outside of the eUS mil, but many look up to him and aspire to be him.

Q9: What is your favorite quote from HOUSE M.D.?

GoalieBCSC: I have two. His first is "...the answer...to life itself: Sex.” The second is "Everybody lies" which is great, because in almost every show, he'll use some quote about someone lying.

Q10: And finally, if you could punch any eCitizen square in the face, who would it be and why?

GoalieBCSC: I would punch everyone who thought v2 should proceed in the face. 😑
