The Q10 (Ten Quick Questions) – King MF’ing Kong Edition
with former POTUS and resident “National Force”, Colin Lantrip.

Q1: Your national rank in the eUS is #1 (level 33!), you’ve got (at time of this interview) 239 Battle Hero medals, you’ve been POTUS, elected to congress three times, have achieved multiple resistance war hero and the newly created campaign hero medals, you are a media mogul and have achieved the rank of “National Hero.” What amongst your illustrious career feats do you consider your most proud achievement?

Colin Lantrip: Being president I guess was the hardest to achieve, but "most proud achievement"... idk. There are countless other "little" things that I've been a part of that helped other players and other countries in need. These types of things tend to be the most rewarding for me personally.

Q2: During your Presidency, you created, administrated and personally funded a hugely successful program, entitled Operation Monkey Business, that gave free weapons to eUS citizens. With player apathy and/or boredom seemingly on the rise again, what types of programs do you think could or should be created/implemented by the next administration to increase player activity and retention?

Colin Lantrip: It's by far the worst of my skill sets, but media plays a huge part in making the game exciting and keeping people involved. Any national campaign or effort that that is properly promoted and managed through the media would help. It's not an easy thing, but daily updates, a little propaganda and whole lot of "rah, rah" is necessary to keep mid level players involved and to suck in the lower level ones. I don't think the program itself is as relevant as the promotion of it. THE primary failure in the second half of my administration.

Q3: What do you feel is the greatest challenge or threat facing the eUS today? And what do you think can and should be done about it?

Colin Lantrip: Boredom, it's the only real threat that matters. See previous response.

Q4: There is a debate going on in the eUS forums that in order to be a “good” or effective POTUS, one must be a “dick”. As a former POTUS, what is your take on that viewpoint?

Colin Lantrip: I've seen that.. I disagree. I think I was/am a very effective manager and I accomplished things by treating people with respect and sharing credit. There are odd times that it's necessary, but by and large it's not. With one exception I wouldn't consider any of the administrations I've been apart of to have been "dicks" on the level that thread tries to excuse. Not surprisingly the real subject of that thread was a big part of that one exception.

Q5: With the upcoming POTUS elections, the two primary candidates are Haliman and Inwegen. Which candidate do you support and why?

Colin Lantrip:. Haliman. Not my prettiest side here, but I'll be honest. I can't stand Inwegen, he's a bully, he's a troll and he's loyal to nothing but himself. The kind of guy that likes to sit around and constantly tell you all he's done and how important he is. You throw in the whole Pak/Dio nonsense and I just don't trust him or half his staff to do what is truly in Americas best interest. Haliman is inexperienced at this level, but I have no doubt of his intentions or loyalty. I'll try to work with that all day.

Q6: What characteristics, skills, experience do you believe a good POTUS should have? Are there any eUS citizens currently that you feel would make a good POTUS in the future?

Colin Lantrip: lol.. after you've been there and seen all it entails it seems no one is qualified. The main things in my mind... activity, a willingness to listen and an ability to make clear decisions when required. Not to mention the staff you choose and how well you are able to manage them, you can't do it alone. I wouldn't care to promote any one at this point, but there are several out there that I think are well on their way.

Q7: If you and Jankems got into a fight over Naomi Watts, who would win and why?

Colin Lantrip: I would ofc.. Why is obvious.

Q8: Who is your personal eHero and why?

Colin Lantrip: I don't do heroes... numerous people have influenced my elife over time.

Q9: Quick word association: Phoenix, PANAM, Colin Lantrip.

Colin Lantrip: no, maybe, yes.

Q10: And finally, if you could punch any eCitizen square in the face, who would it be and why?

Colin Lantrip: Meh.. prefer to just avoid those I don't like. Nothing good could come from answering this question.

Q: Do you have any final thoughts or is there anything I neglected to cover that you would like to address?

Colin Lantrip: Not really, not here. 😛
