The Campaign Trail



I am proud to announce that Rolo Tahmassee has accepted the position of Director of the Office of Strategic Services. I have admired Rolo's work in congress for a while and the CPF is proud to sponsor him in bids for congress.

I am also proud to announce that jefflav has accepted the position of Minister of eCanada Can Has Talent. I would like to see him pull off another eCanada awards show to bring the country together a bit.

I am also proud to announce that Alastar Aingleis has been offered the position of Minister of Selflessness for his generousity in building the CEP party and recovering from the nastiness inflicted upon the party when Octavian made off with party assets and the forum.

I have read some comments that the positions in my National Unity Privy Council are "fake", they aren't. If I am elected CP these people will be responsible for increasing National Unity and they will have a "National Unity Privy Council" thread in the eCan forums to conduct their business on. My Second VP, Kazuo Leblanc will lead them.

There is a saying, only half the money I spend on adverting works, the problem is I don't know which half. This applies to my National Unity Privy Council. I don't know exactly what to do to improve national unity but I do not it is predicated on good values. Each of the people in the cabinet has good values, IMO, and that is why they are there, even eCanada's supervillian PimpDollaz.

-build national unity wherever my sphere of influence permits

powerown64: What about eCanadian Award Shows?

I am a big fan of the eCanadian Award Shows and I would like to see that run through my National Unity Privy Council, I mentioned to jefflav that this would be his job, to make sure this award show happens.

PimpDollaz: If it came to your attention that someone in your cabinet was an enemy spy, what would you do?

I'd PM him saying I have reason to believe he's a spy. I'd ban him, and then I'd release the trolls.

Dr. Pain: Could you provide us with the new tax structure you want to propose to congress to finance the war with eFrance?



The plus 10% add 10% to the existing %. Most categories are 11% so most of the new taxes would be 21%. I would only ask this once. My plan to end the eFrance war requires a minimum of 8 days, likely longer due to commotion and what not. After that, the taxes would be rolled back.

George Kirk: Please explain to me where you will get this gold? Is the tax payer once again being asked to flip the bill for companies already existing in a Highly lucrative commodities market? Regardless of how the subsidy is funded, someone in the domestic economy must ultimately pay for it. Will that someone be the person seeing the most gain from the grant?

First, in my plan, the company owner pays the full shot on their own and then the government reimburses them for half. Ideally, the government would have arranged in advance a payment from the country benefiting from the export license so that the net cost to eCanada is zero. I support government subsidizing these grants. Export licenses open up foreign markets which utilize capacity of domestic companies which creates jobs. Adding high paying jobs to the economy is a good thing for taxpapers. Consider a diamond company paying 10 employees each $15 a day. That is $150, 11% tax on that is $16.50, it would take the government 20 days (1/2 of 20 gold at $33.50 per gold divided by $16.50) to collect enough taxes from the people working at that company alone to pay for the export license.

If export licenses are not purchased, the domestic market will become oversupplied and prices will fall and wages will fall in turn. Employees benefit from greater production and open foreign markets in the form of steady work and higher wages.

George Kirk: You are currently the Chair of the Chemmy Boy Association, home of the Opportunity Cabal (OC). The OC being responsible for the Opportunity Fund and the Opportunity Companies, including:

Opportunity Titanium, a Q3 diamond company in Nunavut.

Will you be stepping down from this position that controls a rather massive fund of over 1000 gold if and when you are elected?

I will not be stepping down however I will not participate in the program because, as you have mentioned, it is a conflict of interest.

This fund is a private bank, it is not a government appointment nor an elected position. The investors in this fund pay fees to me to manage it, not anyone else. I could not in good conscience have someone manage it in my stead.

It is disappointing that my investors could not benefit from the program however there is always the future.
