Who's your daddy? Day 2 of Addy's Clean CP Campaign

Day 911, 20:12 Published in Canada Canada by Addy Lawrence
Questions from Yesterday's Article

Acacia Mason: Addy, where do you stand on the titanium keep vs rent debate?

I do not consider renting a region abhorrent nor unpatriotic. I would consider renting one region for the right price. I wouldn't rent to anyone other than the eUS. I would only rent NWT, not Nunavut. The ultimate decision to rent or not would lie with congress whom I have the utmost of faith in, warts and all.

only atoms: What if it's another filthy campaign? Will you still reward the runner-up with VP?

No. I would go to the second runner up. It is pretty obvious when a campaign is dirty, people see right through it.

Acacia Mason: Are you pro mechanics or pro role play?

I am pro-mechanics and I am pro-role play. This doesn't answer your intended question which I believe is how do I prioritize them. I put mechanics ahead of role play and I am a firm believer that role play should be aligned with mechanics or it breaks down.

SaraDroz: Who has endorsed you?

Nobody has officially endorsed me. To clarify, I have not earned the CPF endorsement. At this point, I am a single ecitizen with a dream.

An Incomplete Biography

I’ve been eCanadian from jump which was July of ’09 for me. I aspired to join the CAF and stretch my fighting legs however they wouldn’t have me, my strength was too low. I watched in frustration as eCanada fell completely into the abyss with me standing on the edge of it, defending it in vain with my bare hands, the military of my country not the least bit interested in including me, nor ecitizens like me, in the defence of it. This experience moved me and dominates how I frame the CAF to this day. I constantly try to re-frame this experience in a positive way, even today, but I have lapses.

I was eCanadian when there was no eCanada on the emap. However, there was plenty of eCanada in the souls of its citizens. I had the opportunity to join a great band of those citizens, Bruck’s Canucks. I was tapped on the shoulder by Rylde who found me picking through garbage in occupied Ontario. I lept at the chance to make a difference. I took up a job for slave wages in Poland, making guns to supply Bruck Canuck militiamen for the reclamation effort. My most fulfilling eRep experiences to date were the series of battles I participated in wearing Bruck Canuck colours and reclaiming every one of eCanada’s regions. I’ve made Alberta my home ever since and I’ve continued to work for slave wages ever since as well. I'll never forget what it was like to get supplied five guns a day working alongside heavy-weights like Bruck and Ralph de Ver when I was contributing so little with my three and change manufacturing skill. But Bruck and Ralph valued my commitment and loyalty above the output of my clicks and I've never forgotten that.

I have always had an interest in the erep economy and marketplace. When eCanada was reclaimed, I started my newspaper, “Create, Plan, Manage” and explored these topics at length. This newspaper opened a lot of eRep doors for me. The first door was that of a private bank, "The Opportunity Fund". The Opportunity Fund now resides in its own paper “Opportunity Knocks”. I am the Chair of the Opportunity Fund and manage a portfolio of about 1,000 gold and eight companies.

I worked my way up through Bruck’s Canucks reaching the position of Commander-In-Chief. The biggest thing I did was mandate chains for every member, on my watch it became a requirement of membership to work for slave wages and every slave was treated equal, no fairweather Canucks, all Canucks who give a Bruck!!! The word “slave” in Canuck nomenclature is not the same as RL. In Bruck’s Canucks, “slave” means you are a bona fide member, an equal member of a group where the interests of the group take priority. We lost about a third of our members doing this but we boiled down the membership to the core, a committed band that would flourish.

I did that for a month and it became apparent that my political ambitions were coming into conflict with leading the Canucks. Firstly, I didn’t have the time to manage the Canucks and be in the Privy Council of my political party. Secondly, being a member of congress kept me from participating in Canuck battles. So, I stepped down and to pursue politics and Rylde took over the Canucks and led them to incredible heights.

I devoted all of my energy to my political party, the Canadian Progressive Front and continuously worked my way up the ranks by collaborating with Tyler F Durden, Wilhelm Gunter, Acacia Mason, Spencer Magee and PimpDollaz. I won the Presidency of the Party on March 15th. I am the current Party President and have been for the past two terms. I’ve been a congressman for six terms running now and I’ve been eCanada’s Minister of Finance three times and the Deputy Minister of Finance twice.

During this time, I worked hard with this group to establish a brand for the CPF and it was a success. The Blue Moose evokes a lot of images; aggression, competitiveness, seats in congress, trolling, lulz. And then last month I realized that eCanada does not understand the "good" in the CPF brand and that I never understood the "bad" in the CPF brand. This is when I first started to seriously consider running for Country President.

I have been aware that I am part of an old guard, a graduating class if you will. And I have been developing young talent, talent like BenMartin, Exalted Druid, SilencerII, Scotty Wilkinson, Auk Rest and CrazyMofo13. These are the guys in the second generation of this party that will take the best parts of the "old guard trolls" and continuously improve the Canadian Progressive Front, and more importantly, eCanadian politics. I am confident that a group like them can do this.

On June 5, 2010, I intend to run for Country President and add another chapter to this biography and add another basket of experiences for the second generation of CPF'ers involved in this campaign, and others, to draw upon.

Tomorrow, I am going to deal head on with the reasons why I am not a perfect candidate. I know where the skeletons are buried and I'm going to point them out.

Thank-you for reading the whole thing and tolerating the vanity of a biography as part of a campaign for Country Presidency.

Your daddy in national unity,

Addy Lawrence
