Who's your daddy? Day 9 of Addy's Clean CP Campaign

Wars are expensive to fund. Fees are required to launch attacks and weapons are required to conduct warfare, particularly a relentless daily war focused on ending a threat to our nation's assets.

I am seeking a mandate to increase taxes by 10% across the board to fund the war effort. The intention is to reverse this increase when the eFrance war ends.

I have proposed a lot of tax changes in the past, I promise not to tinker with import taxes nor VAT during this war, I will not meddle. With an increase to income taxes, this will provide enough grease to the war wheel that tinkering should not be necessary.

There will be no increases to discretionary spending, non-essential items will be reduced in an effort to improve the war effort. By that I mean getting more guns into the hands of more people, not getting more wellness packs into the hands of the elite amongst us.



My Cabinet

I’m not going to insult your intelligence on this one. The staffing of my cabinet will be an exercise in setting myself up to succeed with dynamo candidates, solid proven performers who will keep the government on the rails, and some key political posturing to land me some votes and endorsements to get me into office. Wherever possible I am going to go with existing relationships that I have with people that are predicated on loyalty and trust.

First, the dynamos.

The key role in my cabinet will be Minister of Defence as the primary focus of my presidency will be closing the eFrance war. I am looking for a Minister of Defence who buys into my military mandate, to curtail our activity in EDEN while eCanada brings a war to eFrance that they don’t want and push them into signing a peace treaty, for free. My man is Muglack.

We are going to need a crack war cabinet to achieve my mandate. I have conferred with 1ronman and he has agreed to be in my war cabinet. It will be an honour close this war out with him at my side. I don’t expect 1ronman to change his decision regarding leaving eCanada over this appointment however I put it to the eCanadian public that your support of this war cabinet and you MAY show 1ronman that eCanada is a community that includes him and wants him.

I will also be asking the Commander-in-Chief of the Praetors, TCO, Van Doos and Parardoxian Guard to sit in the war cabinet as well. IMO, this is integral to eCanada succeeding in ending the eFrance war.

I am going to need a strong Ministry of Finance team as the war budget will be demanding and administering my grant program will be demanding too. The leader of my team is Sir De La Ron Shaun Smith. I know that he will need help. SDLRSS and I have asked Green Hawk to join the team as Deputy Minister of Finance and I am proud to announce that he has confirmed.

I am going to need a strong Minister of Foreign Affairs to deal with the backlash when eCanada curtails its participation in EDEN battles while we tend to the home front. I also want someone who can sell TitTy to our allies and generate some funding and “cross selling”. I want someone with street cred in the eUS, my man is Tyler F Durden.

Tyler and I think a lot alike. For this reason, he will be my Chief of Staff and manage the home office. The home office won’t need a lot of attention because it is staffed with experienced and reliable performers.

Tyler and I act differently, for the Ministers in the home offices, I apologize in advance because he will bite your ass more often than I will. However, Tyler is familiar with my style and he knows that if I do become CP, people will be supporting that style, and he is going to operate within it...

...at least until he loses his kewl.

These are the dynamos I believe I need to deliver my objectives to you and they are on board.

The second priority is to secure the steady and reliable hands operating key services.

Minister of Communication – Dade Pendwyn has confirmed that he will continue his work in this ministry, increasing the relevancy and scope of the eCBC newspaper.

Minister of Education - AngryMobMan has confirmed that he will continue his work in this ministry, connecting eCanadians to the right pools of information.

Minister of Health and Social Services – James Wiens has confirmed that he will continue his work in this ministry and close the wellness gap created by the new hospital rules.

Minister of Immigration – Etemenanki has confirmed that he will continue his work to recruit ecitizens from other countries and build on last term’s successful marketing campaign to non-eCanadians.

Minister of Industries – Citizen B has confirmed with me that he will continue his opus in eCanada and manage this ministry. There will be some v2 migration going on in my term which will increase preparedness, otherwise, its business as usual.

Minister of Justice – Moffington has confirmed that he will take over this ministry. This is a hot potatoe file with a lot of role-play v game play dynamics at issue right now. In my opinion, the pendulum has swung too far into the realm of role play. I have asked Moffington to apply his pragmatic style to this ministry and start to swing this pendulum back. I do not expect major changes in this ministry this month, I do expect our justice system to acknowledge where there is misalignment between game-play and role-play and to apply some common sense solutions, not role-play preservation solutions.

Minister of Official Languages - Current Minister pandobox has declined my offer. I have asked him to provide me with some referrals and I am in the process of offering this post to suitable candidates.

Minister of Public Safety - Current Minister Marius Coroleone has not responded. I am searching for suitable candidates.

I will be creating a new role, Devil's Advocate. I created this role when I headed up Bruck's Canucks and the CPF. Both screamingslave and PimpDollaz have been excellent advisors for me in the past, questioning everything I do in a respectful way to ensure that I consider other perspectives. My DA will be AR1ARX whom I believe is the most underrated and under-recognized player in eRep.

There are some empty spots, and to be candid, I am entering the last 10 days of the campaign where political posturing will come to the fore. Some finishing touches remain.



Deputy Prime Minister

My Veep is going to be the guy, or girl, who finishes second in the Country President election. I’m hearing a collective “WTF?” out there. Hear me out. To be successful in office, I need to have a positive relationship with my Veep. If I commit to making any one of my opponents my Veep, then I must be prepared to work with each of them. If each of my opponents could be my Veep, I am greatly motivated to run a clean campaign. Is that not what eCanadians have been calling for over the past three months? This is the most practical way for me to show eCanadian voters and my rivals for Country President, that my campaign will be a clean and positive one and that I am very serious about cleaning up eCanadian politics.
