The CPF Praetors MU - SHOW OF FORCE CONTEST - 105Q7 Tanks a week D1 & D2
crisfire
Tommorow Tuesday the 5th The Praetors will be holding a "SHOW OF FORCE" contest which will pit Praetor against Praetor in a battle for the most kills.
1st Place will receive 20 Gold and the next top five in kills will receive 5 gold each (Thanks to DMV for the bulk of the rewards)
The Praetors have quickly become one of eCanada's top and most active Military Units in a short amount of time thanks to active leadership and generous contributions.
The CPF realizes that for eCanada to become a better player, a better ally and a better country it must work harder to retain new players as they join, we must catch them while they are young and instill a sense of community in them and help them along the way to become tomorrow’s leaders and warriors.
You do not have to be a CPF member to be a CPF Praetor but membership in the party will have its advantages.

o7 Do it up, yo.
Encouraging lower divisions to get more hits/kills is bad because they will level up faster before their strength is up to par with other people in the same division. They'll get to higher divisions and have insignificant amounts of damage per hit.
Also, on a national level, this weakens Canada's D1 and D2 on the international playing field. If we have a direct war with another country, we'll be in danger of losing a lot of points on those lower divs.
Well, for example this tournament might need those extra hits. I do know what you mean though, perhaps the govt should think about TG loans.
people are going to fight anyway and this is the first contest of this sort, we usually only require 25 kills which is probably extremely low
Our focus on keeping new players engaged and helping them along keeps more D1 and D2 players in eCanada then if we simply didnt do anything for them, which was what was going on before.

I agree. I'm in the same boat. Been playing daily for over two years...
I started fighting right away. I would have left the game if I didn't fight every day. Wrong thing to do, sure. But when you start there isn't much else to do. You don't know anyone. You are kinda on your own. I support what Praetors is doing as atleast it keeps the new guys entertained and involved. They know that in the long run this also buys loyalty. Smart move all around...
I also support a call for the government to supplement TC's at the beginning. Everyone wins in the end.
They are encouraged to sell excess tanks for gold to purchase strength training facilities or companies
One example being Auk Rest who is a D2 but born on Nov 03, 2009, I hardly think we are advancing people beyond their division
The truth!
This argument is used often, and of course it is true. But eRep is not an entirely fun game when you start out, unless you dive into the community right away. We in the Praetors are very active, which helps, but none the less new players want to fight.
I would like to see a government initiative to help partially fund new players for TG upgrades, but then you get the whole they will just quit, multis, and move to other countries etc. argument.
One of those damned if you do, damned if you don't thing sometimes.
Maybe something like if 5 people in your MU can vouch that they don't think you're a multi?
I like the conversation that sprouted from this regardless
Its OK, I'm here for D1 😉
Interesting that your MU is essentially being held aloft by DMV3, a man that has been publicly denounced by CPF - of course not so much denounced to come 2nd in the CPF primaries. That said, I think you all him a HUGE apology.
Also, your MU's name is stupid. The hell does Ancient Rome have to do with Canada? Or the CPF for that matter? You should also know that, historically, the Praetorian Guard were known more for betraying their leaders than supporting them. Twelve, count' em, twelve were assassinated by the Praetors: Aurelian, Balbinus, Caligula (you know, the crazy one), Caracalla, Commodus (you know, the Gladiator one), Elagabalus, Galba, Gordian III, Numerian, Pertinax, Marcus Aurelius Probus, and Pupienus.
Finally, the avatar of your MU depicts a centurion, and NOT a Praetor. Centurions were members of the armed forces, whilst Praetors were palatial guards. Which kind of makes your existence has a party military unit and not, say, a governmental body, even more bewildering.
P.S crisfire smells bad.
hey
fack off
Im also willing to bet that the man in the image is not a centurion as they wore a transverse crest on the helmet and not a plume and probably did not rise a horse into battle but went on foot with their men
It is more likely that this is a Legate
The Praetorian guard also were involved in numerous battles in Germany and Britian among others under a prefect
So does this mean you're going to move to eItaly?
i didnt name the MU, its been in existence more or less for several years
also show me were the CPF has publicly denouced DMV you stink hole
You should probably get outside more often, the sun is quite nice actually...
I suggested naming the MU after a brewery.
HOLY CRAP SO MANY WEAPONS JOIN NOW!
I'm not expecting too much of this since I'm a newbie and have low strenght, and will be only using food while some have a ton of energy bars 😨
Anyway good luck for the participants.
Remember that this is a contest of most kills. Not most damage. Remember to use q7's to take the least amount of damage! (Should only be using q7's for battle anyways)
The argument to stay in Div one because damage done in Div two would be low is pretty weak.
Div one battles rarely have an effect on the overall outcome of a war, Anyone that has played long enough to be Div two knows that strength needs to be built up as fast as possible, but that fighting often also has benefits as the weekly rewards build up a strong arsenal over time.
