2. Work and skills

- There are three different professions or skills:
Weapons/food/gifts/moving tickets - skill manufacturing
Grain/wood/oil/iron - skill land
Housing/defencesystems/hospitals - skill constructions

When you chose a profession and works, you will improve your skill in that profession.

The higher your skill gets, the higher salary you can get.
NOTE - if you keep high wellness and your salary wont improve- contact your employer and most times he/she will correct the salary, otherwise- seek for a new work!

Strength is a skill of its own and can only improve by training.
Strength in combination with your wellness, what weapon (if any) you use and your military rank will decide how much damage you can do in a fight.

A new feature in the game is the possibility to pay extra for better training-results with gold. It is quite expensive, so unless you are planning on using your IRL money to get extra gold, we do not recommend it for new players.

3. Wellness

(You can see your wellness by clicking on your avatar picture and then "Bio&quot😉

You start with 50% wellness, your wellness decides:
* How well you preform at work, how much you produce for your employer.
* Hos much damage you can do in a war
- Everything you do costs wellness, to train costs 1 wellness, works costs different depending on the Q of the company.

Food
This is why you need food, if you are without food you will lose another 4 wellness per day until you die. There are different kinds of food, but buy only Q1 in the beginning. The food will give you about +1 wellness/Q (depending on your current wellness). So if you eat Q2 food you will get +2 wellness per day. The food is consumed at 09.00 every day (CET).

House
Other ways to improve your wellness is to buy a house, houses will give you about +Q wellness per day.

Gifts
You can also use gifts, you can receive +10 wellness every day, from gifts.
Gifts gives you +Q wellness but you need someone to give them to you. A good thing is to find a "giftfriend" to exchange gifts with.

As you can see your wellness is very important and your employer will always fire the ones with the least wellness first.

It can be hard to improve your wellness at first until you have skill enough to buy better food, gifts and a house.

The cheapest way to get good wellness is to fight in wars and use the hospitals, in eDenmark that road has been closed lately, due to peace... Other ways are to use the money you get at lvl6 to buy better food and perhaps a house.

4. War
When a country is in a war you can join in the fight. There are 2 kinds of wars in eRepublik, common war and resistance war.
The common war is when one country attack another. If it is your country that attack you can only fight on your country’s side. The same goes with defending, you can only defend your own country.

Resistance war (RW) is a little special. Since this kind of war happens inside a country you can choose which side you want to support. You can fight for ”Resistance” (the red button, the side who want to break free from its current country) or ”Defenders” (the green button, the side who wants the region to stay within their territory).

To see if your country is in war first go to the ”Army” page, then click on ”Battles you can fight in”.

The wars in eRepublik works like this. The region under attack has a ”Wall” with a certain amount of ”health” before it breaks. The attacking side lower the walls health while the defenders ”repair” it. A fight goes on for 24 hours before the region can be conquered or saved.

Hospital

Every time you fight you will loose 10 Wellness. As I mentioned before you can use the Hospital once every day that you have fought on. Different regions have different qualities (Qx) on their hospitals, some regions doesn’t even have a hospital. It is smart to check which quality your regions hospital is before you fight. A higher quality hospital heal you more then a lower quality. For example, a Q2-hospital will heal you 20 Wellness while a Q5 will heal you 50 Wellness.

To find the hospital after you’ve fought just click the button saying ”visit hospital” on the ”battlefield” page where you chose which side you fight on. On the hospital page, click ”Heal”, don't fight your wellness under 50. Then its better to fight again the next day and revisit the hospital.
Your goal is to have 90-100 in wellness at all time.

How much damage you do in a fight is calculated using some variables:
-Wellness
- Strength
- Weapon quality
- Military rank

If you don’t own a weapon when you fight you will do quite less damage then if you own one. A Q1 weapon gives you a little bonus while a Q5 gives you more bonus. The difference between NO gun and a Q1 gun is much bigger than the difference between Q1 and Q2, so for a new warrior, the priority should be to always try to have Q1 guns rather than sometimes have higher Q and sometimes be out of guns.

When you are fighting all of your ”total damage” will be stored on your account. When you reach a high enough total damage you will recieve a new militairy rank which makes you deal even more damage.

5. Politics
There are many different party's in Erepublik. You can see then under "My places" -> "Party". Try and read in the media/forums to see which party suits you. eDenmark has been throw a quite rocky time, we have been attacked by foreigners with no interest in developing eDanmark. To make a long story short, they got the grip of congress (Folketinget) and then they stole our money... We call it Political Take Over (PTO). They are still around, but right now both the president and the congress is in the hands of loyal eDanes (from many different nationalities IRL, so that is not the issue).

All loyal eDanes have off course not the same view on what is the best policy for eDenmark! There are several parties in eDenmark. Some of them, as the liberals and the communists, have classic political names, others, well, take a look below... To find out about the parties and what they stand for please ask the party leaders. We are sure they’ll gladly answers all of your questions.

The biggest of the eDanish parties

* Danish liberal party (DLP), Center/Libertarian.
Partypresident:BNMaarcher
* Communist Party of Denmark, Far-left/Libertarian.
Partypresident:Nero Superbus
* The Union of Work-Shy Elements, Center/Libertarian.
Partypresident:A.Holst
* Shinke´s Peepshow Extravaganza, Center-right/Libertarian.
Partypresident:Skinke

The fifth biggest party is SDP, but it is the party of the PTO and not a party for a loyal eDane.

Show your activity in your party and they will soon recognize you and perhaps you will represent your party in congress one day!

6. Business
If you are interested in starting your own company, there are many possibility's. You will need some starting capital, so it might not be the first thing you do, however, there is plenty of opportunities, please read in this guide for much, much more information...

7. About Q
(level on goods/company's)
Q decides how much of, or how good, a product is. If you eat Q1 food you get about +1 wellness/day, Q2 gives you +2 etc (depending on your current wellness).
Q in raw materials decides how much you get from one product, for example if you buy 100 Q3 grain, you will receive 300 grain in your company's storage.
For every Q that you upgrade a raw material company, the productions decreases with 10%, but you get products worth more.
For manufacturing company's you need Q times more raw materials for your product, a Q1 weapons need 5 iron when a Q3 needs 15 etc.

8. Changing residence
Sometimes it's smart to change your residence. If you are going to fight, you can move to a region which have a high quality hospital, for example.
To move you have to buy a ”Moving ticket”. After you’ve bought one go to your Profile. Below the button ”Edit profile” you will find the button ”Change residence”. Click on it and you can choose to move wherever you feel like.

9. Community
eRepublik is as much about the community as it is about training, working and fighting. Therefore most countries have their own forums and IRC-channels.

The single most important thing you can do as a new eDane is to join the forum (http://www.erepublik.dk). Here we discuss politics, trade, work and anything else that concerns eDenmark. Off course there are Off-Topic issues as well... 🙂 If you aint there, you will miss a huge part of the game! So please register NOW!

One public IRC-channel on Quakenet is #erepublik, there you can ask questions or just hang with other eRepublikers 🙂
