“I have learned silence from the talkative, tolerance from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strangely, I am ungrateful to these teachers.”

It is a hard task these days ... to carry on playing this game. Not because of the game mechanics only - where without a credit card, survival & success is but an illusion (and with one, even more so). So at times even old souls, such as I, need reminding why is it that we plod on.

After having been around for over 3 years now, more often than not, we end up developing the arrogance that we know everything; can predict how things will turn out. We become set in our ideas and egos and end up becoming caught in the web of our own delusions. Not only that, we end up dragging others along in those webs as well - holding them back from doing things freely and without inhibitions or fear of 'consequences'.

Every now and then however, there comes along a situation (even if it is a rarity these days) where I am reminded why India is capable of so much more than we have accomplished and deserves so much more than she has got. It reminds me that all the sleepless nights, working on laying the foundation, all the talks with foreign dignitaries, all the encouragement provided to new & upcoming Citizens, hoping that some day they fulfill their potential and are able to steer India to glory - it reminds me that none of it has gone to waste, never will. Simply put, it makes me glad to have been a part of this community - the only reason I play this 'game'.

Its all about the community ... and sharing ... and ... and ...

Why do I say all this? Because to put it quite simply, the outcome of the Thailand war as it stands now - especially how 'easy' it was (in spite of even Scymex tanking against us in Central Thailand), has me completely boggled. I understand that various 'factors' led to our victory - even if tentative at best since given Serbia's firepower, we'd be arrogant and foolish if we let down our defenses and assume that holding them back long-term in the RW's would be easy. The fact that ONE is on the back-foot, with Serbia's original regions under threat & on top of that, many of the Thai-Serb tanks themselves got banned recently - this has been obviously a major factor in bringing down Thailand.

To give an idea of how it went the last time we took them on, when ONE was in its prime, we almost got wiped. In fact, we even went into this war aware of the eventuality that we might get wiped even this time (we had done the same last time). Apparently we're just a bunch of bat shit crazy mofos, who only want blood!!!
XD
Still, the outpouring of ally support in this war, especially from our brothers in Bulgaria, Albania & all of EDEN/TERRA; it has pleasantly surprised me & looking at other articles, most of India & makes us so proud and grateful to them, it can't expressed in words alone.

So Congratulations India for your emphatic win & a huge round of thanks to all our allies & soldiers who fought for us!!!

Poonam Pandey said she'd strip if India won & put this on twitter, so ...

But we have to be careful we don't take this for granted, and make the same mistakes we did in the past.

Now I don't like to dabble in the past, but to give some of our new chaps an idea, India didn't always have such good fortune in allies & friends. There was a time, not so long ago when India had for all purposes and intents, been shunned by more or less all her allies. I won't go into the situations that led to it, but suffice to say EDEN didn't consider us trustworthy; we were in a perpetual conflict with Pakistan leading to us getting wiped with zero support from everyone else & even one-time allies thinking we got what we deserved.

Whether we did or not is a different issue, but why I mention this is getting back from there - not just in regions, but in regaining our allies' trust - it has not been an easy journey & its humble beginnings are somewhat in here if you care to read. Of course, the work done in the coming terms in Foreign Affairs, by Alector, Octavius Dryst, SVV, by Presidents like Graf, Sharry, Prabal, Anant, Hari, Exibot, Hemanathan as well as by Ashwamedh, Mohan, & the countless other valiant soldiers who have given their valuable time and resources fighting for our allies & all those I'm sure I have missed, but know who they are and how much they have done - it has been the most contributing factor in ensuring our current global standing! A salute to you all!

And I am sure India will agree with me on this, as always, work still remains and we shall continue to support our allies to the very best of our abilities, even if it means sacrificing our own interests from time to time!!

Given the amount of time/energy spent in this game in place of having a life outside or watching porn ... 'our own interests' don't really matter much!

The fact that we've had a quite terrific term in Hemanathan's & we have two very capable Presidential candidates, both with clear visions of what they want to achieve, both strong enough to steer the boat if we hit a rough patch & willing to fight for what they believe - that gives me more joy than ever! If you, like me, are yet to make up your mind about who to vote for, do read the manifestos of Shakti & Dryst (& his final plea), a terrific debate they had, as well as Sam's analysis & exercise your democratic right!

Where we go from here is of course up to the Presidents and Indian leaders to come. But this war has given me what I was almost on the verge of running out of - hope. Hope that if eIndians continue to rally together, stick beside our allies & brothers, put aside petty partisan politics and put India before our own egos and vested interests - India shall stand strong, united & ready to move on to the next step in global affairs.

Here's me being grateful to the efforts of all those that have led us to India's victory over time & here's wishing ourselves all the very best in the days and months to come!
