Keep The Faith

Bon Jovi got it quite right that time. There are times when you've just got to keep the faith.

And now I ask eIndians to keep the faith.

Not because you have to. But because India needs you to. There have been many concerns that have been raised by many of our enthusiastic Citizens, some valid, some without proper information, and mostly due to a severe lack of communication that I have been noticing over the past few days. Time to set the records straight. However I DO NOT speak on behalf of the government, just as another citizen who incidentally happens to be aware of the back-room story & am sure more details shall be forth-coming from the Govt.

~ Status of Government
Swathikrishnan has been elected as our President, succeeding current Prime Minister, Iseutz & we all hope he can keep up the momentum & the good work put in by his predecessors.

Why do I say elected, in spite of him being the ONLY candidate?

Well Neeraj 10, who was running for CP, stepped down based on an understanding between him & the other candidates. Timberjack (Hsr) was in fact already NOMINATED, and along with Swadhin, had a very good chance imo. However, just prior to the election, he moved out to Pakistan to fight in the Resistance War, and it was a mistake on our part - as simply put, we forgot that he couldn't be RE-nominated after the 2nd of December.

My sympathies to Hsr, but he's a good friend, and I'm glad that he's taken up the role of Minister of Internal Affairs in Swadhin's new Government. I am sure he'll make a good future President as well.

On a side note, Swadhin has been really caught up in a Real Life situation, if you are wondering why he hasn't been active in Media yet.

The new Govt structure, I'll leave to Swadin to announce, but I can tell you this that on your suggestion, a new system of Trainee program will be launched shortly, where newer Citizens will get to work hands-on in the various Ministries, and gain first-hand exposure to all that goes on behind the scenes. More on this shortly.

~ War Effort
Of course the primary challenge of this Government, more than anything else, is keeping eIndia on the map. As you're all aware we're in a war with Pakistan, and the odds are in their favor, AT THE MOMENT. They are being funded by some of uber-rich citizens of the eWorld, and our resources have been stretched to the limits.

Our Military Administrator, David, along with Minister of Defense, Karan have been working round the clock to counter the heavy odds.

We are working with a new Army structure, and while its showing signs of effectiveness, being at a nascent stage, there is MUCH work to be done. The Food Distribution, Coordination of Fight Orders via IAF paper, & IRC, as well as funding for tanking - all are being developed step by step.

I know it is frustrating at times, when these don't seem to come together; when we don't receive our supplies on time; or when we go to IRC & there is no one there to coordinate. But trust me, we're getting there. We still need more man-power, and if you are willing to do your bit for eIndia - contact Karan on IRC or in game.

While 7 MPP's have been signed, do understand, that there are many high priority battles that our allies themselves are involved in, and it is not in every battle that they can fight like they did in Andhra. Still it is up to us to ensure that we do all we can to defend, and so we shall continue to do. The MPP's are vital and not waste of gold, as our priority is holding onto the regions, and then building a stable economy from there.

Well the battles may be won or lost, but the war is far from over. Whatever is thrown at us, we Will survive. Whether we will have a chance at over-turning the tide of battle is something I can't comment on at this stage; would be premature on my part. But I can guarantee you that measures are being taken to ensure eIndia's safety & security, while not compromising on our dignity either.

~Peace Talks & the need for Revival
At this moment, one major issue we've been facing is the turmoil in the Nation's economy due to the war. Without stability in the region, many of the companies have been suffering, and the Citizens with it. Wages have been low, and prices high. One solution to the War situation came in the form of peace talks with Pakistan.

While initially we were led to believe that we would be regaining all our regions, barring maybe 2 that Pakistan would hold on to for the time-bieng & of course, we would have peace; as the talks progressed we were provided with this (laughable) "offer of peace".

Now, barring the logistics of it, that we have nowhere near any resource to be able to 'pay' Pakistan for our regions, the more vital issue is should we at all?

We have tried to negotiate, with the help of intermediaries from EDEN. However, given the unreasonable nature of the demands, and that accepting them would be trampling on our dignity; after 2 days of 'peace talks', we have finally refused. I am sure our brothers & allies in EDEN involved in the talks understand.

Still it is of my opinion, that the decision is not only one person, but a nations' as a whole. So I ask you now: Would you rather stand tall, and continue fighting; would you rather be wiped off the map, however irrational that sounds; would you rather surrender to these arrogant fiends, OR would you rather put aside your pride; take the 'peace' being handed out - rather bought, with our hard earned gold?

I know I would rather fight than surrender my dignity, but then again everyone has a say in this matter, so feel free to voice your opinion.

Should we have taken the peace offer, and paid them unreasonable amounts of money? Or should we hold on and explore alternatives?

The new Attack rules, that Admin have again gone onto change, is not in our favor, given our current situation. Andra Pradesh, our current last region, will be attacked soon (later today), so conserve your wealth, health & weapons. Its going to be a hard fight.

~ Moving On
And I ask you again, Keep the faith. eIndia's time has just begun (check my previous article to know why), don't let your love for this nation, turn to hate; don't let your passion fade; don't fall for foreign propaganda; question the Government - yes, absolutely if you feel you must, but please also have patience; they too are human. But this I can assure you; they are as dedicated to the cause of serving eIndia as they have been always.

We NEED man-power, we NEED resources, we NEED you to keep the faith & be united.

eIndia has ALWAYS been going uphill - with PTO threats from the Iran-based Mafia, the Serbians, even Channers; we have fended off hostile neighbors far superior in strength - from Iran to Indonesia; we have negotiated our way to survive in a world where small nations, especially one rich in resources, have very small chances of survival. We have lost our regions so many times before, lacking the resources - both human & financial, to hold onto them for long, and we have regained them EVERY SINGLE TIME in the face of mounting odds.

We have been PUT DOWN, but we have never been out! And while we still keep the faith, while we still fight with all we have, we will NEVER be out. This I promise you.

So bear with us while we try to get the house in order;
~ introduce your friends to the game, work at 100 wellness everyday, train hard (try using 0.19 booster - it pays for itself, almost) - if possible both using friends boosters, keep it clean so you don't get banned, fight only to the point where you can afford with your daily income (new citizens refrain from fighting, till it can actually make a difference in the battles), become active on the forum & IRC; if you feel a lack of activity in any department; take the initiative yourself.

eIndia is not the President's eIndia or a singular groups'. Its yours, its mine; its ours. Let's make it what we want it to be.
