The beleaguered, the famished and the hopeful: how drama hurts the eUS

In the past few days there has been a drama frenzy regarding the relations between the eUS exec and the eUSMilitary. In my last article A Summary and a Call to Reason I briefly summarized how the most recent drama episode started. The WHPR had previously issued an article on the subject of "unity", WHPR Victory Through Unity . The WHPR article is misleading. There is no Unity in that article. That article is all about forceful rejection. About dominance. About being arrogant enough to think you are better than others in this game. It was about who was right and who was wrong. This is an issue. There is no right or wrong anymore. We lost the right or the wrong in either side of the debate a long time ago. We let right and wrong go and resorted to my way or the highway ideology. We need to stop thinking like this. There are differing opinions. Accept that we are different and move on to other issues.
The media has been split into a few sides. There are those calling for an end to the drama, better communication and offering ideas for progress: Kell Draygo, Haliman, Mr. Peanuts, and others (see list at the end). Others, regrettably, have taken to trolling these articles. These people are Vanek26, Armandez (who recently equaled the eUSMil to Spain) and others. There were also some asking for people to be named as intermediaries. Well, that is what the SoD kinda is. But, Oblige, who worked well with us and treated us fairly and with respect, was fired. We were sad when this happened.
To those trolling the articles, just stop it. Move on, leave your own grudges behind! Sing a different tune! You are hurting America with all your petty fights. On both sides. We are all guilty, we all take part on it, we need to move on.
Specifically, to answer Armandez flaming and instigating question: “In all honesty, whats to stop you from supporting Spain or another enemy nation?”
What stops you Armandez?
Nothing stops us Armandez. We do not need to be stopped from jumping ship and joining the enemy. We do not want to join the enemy. We do not need to be stopped, we serve because we WANT to serve. We love this country and the community.
The eUSMilitary stands for the eUS, allies and her interests. Loyalty, community and common sense.
These petty fights have hurt America greatly. Many players have left the eUS or erepublik. The community is fractured by this stupid old grudge. This is a grudge that keeps coming up every few months. This grudge has hijacked the interests or the eUS and the community. Old and new players are harassed and forced to choose a side. Then they are further harassed by the other side for not joining them. Those wishing to stay of of the mud roll their eyes and grow tired of this pettiness. Sometimes they leave. This results in a weak eUS. A weak eUS cannot serve itself or her allies.
But there is some hope.
There are players that have sought of alternative ways for financing one big military. I have seen 3 articles on the subject.
There are players that have called for increased lines of communication and have offered ideas.
These players are looking toward the future, for progress, for better communication. We need more people like these. People like Lexone, like Jason Stiltner those thinking outside the box and coming up with new ways to look at things. I am not saying their ideas will work or that I support them. I am saying that they are joining those asking for progress.
To the beleaguered eUS Military and those that are calling for an end of the drama: Stay strong, make your voices heard and keep moving FORWARD. Move past the drama and form lines of communication.
To the famished trolls and drama lovers: Just move on, leave your post and allow others not weighed down by the drama to move forward. The issue is old old old. Let is go.
To the hopeful: Thank you for the articles looking for other alternatives, thank you for moving past the drama.
To the eUS. You have been a besieged country for months. We have treated you badly by encumbering you with drama and in-fighting. Stay strong.
I hope we have gotten the drama out of our systems and we stand ready to work for better communication and a better America.

However, the first article listed has nothing to do with this divide at all. I strongly encourage you to read it, before you include it in this list. There is absolutely no mention of ANYTHING related to this.

Disband both start all over get the hell over it. The 30 or so people in the top of both groups need to leave the country so this can end. if it never happens it never ends

old militia fgs, you are tiring and annoying. you have failed. you are losing relevance by the day and you have turned the entire community against you, except from the occasional inbred southerner or brainless hillbilly. accept it, intergrate, and fall in line. the only ones who really see any drama is... you. you are attempting to cover your increasing insignificance and incompetence by shouting OMG OMG STOP CAUSING SO MUCH DRAMA U GUISE. you have been doing this for months of course and are getting more efficient at it.

I would make the argument that drama is not harmful, as it inspires activity and community contribution. More contribution = more retention, and more activity = more people online to fight. Little known fact: I only came out of two-clicking because Pfeiffer proposed the impeachment of Bradree & Fi, and I wanted to call him an asshole. Oh, how the world turns...
Anyway, your menagerie of JCS ideas to merge and/or get funding is interesting. However, that's all useless unless the CJCS themself agrees to it, and both Bradree (first-hand experience) and CW (by accounts) won't become subordinate to any president. Your organization - not your people - is refusing to cooperate (more like make amends at this point, since this administration is much more hostile than my own) with the government. Do you have a proposal to remedy this?

What stops me my dear Morrigan is my love for the eUSA. I don't think you even like or care for the eUSA, I don't think the JCS as a whole care for the eUSA or even like it.
I have loved the eUSA since August 11th, 2008 and continue to do so.
Morrigan, you know what you need to do to improve relations. Fight for the eUSA. Simple as that. JCS agrees that hey if the President asks you to fight somewhere, you add it to your list of battles, I will fight to have the JCS access to the NSC reinstated and I will sit back happy and content.
It's simple. We aren't asking you to ONLY fight where we ask, we are asking you let the JCSF know about the battles. I know how your orders are, there are usually 2-4 battles on the list. You can afford to fight WITH the eUSA.
Now unless of course the JCS doesn't care about the eUSA and you aren't trying to improve relations Morri...go ahead and keep on spewing nonsense about how your trying to improve relations but do nothing to actually do so but post poor articles trying to troll people...and continue to insist the JCS can do whatever they want thus they don't need to fight with the eUSA.
Funny, JCS walks out on the government and they aren't the cause of drama? I must have missed the day of logic when we discussed how 'denial' was a logical construct.

Oh and lol at your article name. You make the average eUS Mil member sound all worn out but hopeful. Sorry but they shouldn't hopeful with leaders like you and the soldiers of the eUS Mil are not worn out, they are a lively bunch of great people.
Actually, Bradley wrote an article specifically saying he doesn't like the eUS and went on to explain why. It's mainly why I left the JCS.
It's one of the reasons I left. I love the eUSA more than I love the JCS.
@Veni_Zelos: You say we're losing relevance? Do tell me what relevance is there in being in a military controlled by a multi accounter and his minions? Do tell me the relevance of the failed TC wannabe called Bootcamp? Also tell me the relevance of trolling an article and pissing off even more people when cooler heads are trying to prevail?
The CJCS and the eUS Military love this nation. We just dislike the people who every month are hand picked by wanna be puppetmasters. We dislike people who promise to work with us then promptly change their tune the moment they are elected. Of course who cares, you sure as hell wont.

Let's use this analogy......
Say you have a kid living in his parents' house. Then he turns 18 and moves out. The parents state that he is now 18 and will live on his own and he won't be living under them anymore. He gets a job and he gets his own apartment.
Then the parents decide to go over to their son's apartment. They walk in a tell him that he has bad taste in decorating, that the bathroom's dirty, that the bed isn't made, that he needs to vacuum and dust. The son tells them that it's his apartment and his life now. He has grown up and moved out. They can't just come over and tell him how to live his life.
Get it?
Form a Committee of Smart People (those of you who know Blooms Taxonomy will recall that) to come together to discuss the issues. No politicians or military leaders allowed. No blaming or rehashing of history allowed either.
I suspect the two sides really are not that far apart in their overarching vision for the country and the military. Then start building on that common ground. You might be surprised.
@Armandez, all of his comments do. Ignorance, misinformed opinions and outright lies seem to make up the bulk of his points. So, if everyone's basing their views/opinions on what he says, then we're further apart than I thought.

@Veni: Dude, shut up. People like you are the reason its such an issue. The JCSF fight for the eUS all the time. If they were no longer relevant then the leadership wouldn't be trying so desperately to make them look bad and force them to submit to them.
Its about power, plain and simple. The fact is that the JCSF still maintains the ability to deal massive amounts of damage, clearly making them relevant. You're entire response is full of nonsense, bigotry and ignorance.

I don't see why people are so upset at the only instance where we didn't follow where the majority of the eUS is fighting. From what I see, we do mainly follow what is laid down. All of yall point out this one instance, and call us traitors, but yet what about each and every other day?
Also, the reason I believe we didn't do what the president said is that the JCS didn't feel like that it should follow the president's orders. There is multiple reasons for this. For one, during this presidency and many before it, the government doesn't seem JCS friendly, not even neutral on this issue. To me, its like, slapping someone in the face and thinking they are going to help you out afterwards. Maybe that isn't right, but you can't say that because you support the wrong-doing of the presidents.
I can't speak for A^2 or Cerb, but during my presidency I was always cordial with the JCS. Bradree would often blow up at me and protest the NSC room for so much as a priority *recommendation*. He was absent for most of the tail end of my term and I talked with a couple more of the JCS while he was gone. AutumnsDawn, HisAirness and Bombanato were all very polite people to interact with, and I'd love for any of them to be CJCS. CW was often passive aggressive and unhelpful to me, but some other people in NSC had better luck with her. Morri and I had a couple arguments but overall I think we got along in the end. She might feel differently though. 😛
I feel like this comment section is a real microcosm of the entire debacle: rational minds are ignored, extremists are focused on, and sweeping generalizations are always used. I don't like some members of the JCS leadership and the direction it points, but I like many members of the JCS as normal people. If people started thinking about the people between each instead of "god damn politicians" and "god damn milfags" and each elected some helpful, rational people to the seat of both, we could get somewhere. Maybe I should write an article instead of babbling on here.
@Armandez, in two years of playing this game in the eUS Mil, I've never pulled the trigger on behalf of PEACE, PHOENIX or ONE. Ever. Not once. Your legacy posts in the eUS Mil forum reek of troll. You'd turn a discussion on raw material production into a bitch session.
Seek help. Stay on your meds. You're out of control, too sucked into the game.
