Easy Way or the Hard Way
Kell Draygo
First things first, everyone needs to cut the crap.
This entire JCS Group vs Government thing is now pretty much out of control and has crossed the border into the insanely retarded land. Can we please stop the trolling and creation of articles that also Trollolololo, baiting one side and making up bullshit while pretending they are fact while at the same time insulting each other.
At first, the drama stirring again was amusing as if we're watching a married couple go at each other. It was amusing like this picture:
Then as it went on, it became boring since it's the same sitcom repeat just under different packaging:
Finally, as it continued down the path of horribly stupid, where each side continues to antagonize each other, dragging more and more people in, it's just completely stupid now:
So, a lot of people are getting fed up with what is going on and I don't blame them. Many are beginning to advocate in taking the easy way out which is to let the JCS people do as they wish. We can do that, that is the easy way out because we can just put up a wall, ignore each other and sweep all this under the rug as if it didn't exist, whatever.
But if we pick the easy path, we'll just end up weakening this country, which as a result will weaken the Alliance we are in. So not only are we screwing ourselves, our allies get screwed in the process and they did nothing wrong. Personally, I prefer the take the harder path but guess what, it'll take work. It always does.
As per usual, the problem once again is communication, it's always communication. Guess what, whether you like it or not, eUS is one giant sandbox that we all need to play in. If you want to divide the sandbox up, fine, but it will then be a much crappier sandbox, plus there will always be people kicking crap onto the other side. Instead, we can learn how to communication with each other, by using something called People Skills.
Those without people skills and continually post garbage to incite or put some sort of retarded spin so their side looks right, please sit down and shut up. Just shut up for a couple of days, it won't kill you. If you want to make solid arguments to help your side in a debate, you back it up with facts and evidence, you don't just conjure up crap in mid-air and present it because guess what, you aren't helping.
What we need to be focusing on right now is fixing the communication problem and mending the relationship. Yes, our President is our elected leader in this country. Yes, the old US Military does not accept funding so they can have the freedom to do as they wish. But please think about this, just because we can do something just because we can, is it the best course of action? Sometimes, no. In this case, very much f'ing no.
Everyone can agree on that if we spread our damage out, as a country, we will suffer. When we don't focus on our priorities, as a country, we will suffer. Remember when we were EDEN or even when we were pro-EDEN, remember the campaigns we won and campaigns we were crushed in? What was the main difference. Communication and cooperation. Holy crap, you mean those two things help us achieve victories against our enemies?
History has already proven that working together provides better results. The only problem now is how to get to that point. If the representatives of the two sides can't work together, and it is backed up with evidence that one side or even both sides are being turds, then the obvious answer is to change out the representatives by bring someone else to the table. I mean, we can just stand up, turn around and say, 'Oh we tried but it did not work so let us just ignore each other'. But you know what, that is just bullshit.
Okay, this is now TLDR, and it is all your fault. In summary, shut the hell up and let us focus on getting our act together.
Edit: Made some edits to the article since they could be viewed as offensive, it was unintentional.
Comments
I agree with you as always Kell...but I honestly feel this is a day late, etc..I ofc hope it works out but I'm afraid I don't see that happening.
How can you ever get 'bored' of killing Spanish conquistadors?
@John Jay: I understand what you are saying, with the recent shenanigans, it's much harder now but I don't like the alternative.
@Ario: By getting bored of the game. I can understand where some of them are coming from about getting bored with the Spanish campaign. But we can't just call time-out for a month with Spain, and focus our stuff elsewhere. I wish we could, but I doubt Spain would allow it and the game mechanics certainly don't allow it.
We need to focus, finish the course we laid out with our allies. The sooner we wrap up this invasion, the sooner we can stop with this 'boring' war.
"...the easy way out which is to let the JCS people do whatever they want."
"... so they can go balling down the street as they wish."
these remarks are inflammatory, not conciliatory.
this is typical of the left-handed approach offered to JCS representatives, it's not a progressive way to start a dialogue.
otherwise-- absolutely... a unified American fighting force is most effective, and having our two biggest damage-delivery resources not coordinating efforts is a problem that needs fixing.
Please explain why they are inflammatory remarks? If it offends you, I am more than willing to change the phrasing.
I see how the second remark can be viewed as inflammatory, I apologize and have thus edited from "Yes, the old US Military does not accept funding so they can go balling down the street as they wish." to "Yes, the old US Military does not accept funding so they can have the freedom to do as they wish.".
The first remark I have changed from "Many are beginning to advocate in taking the easy way out which is to let the JCS people do whatever they want." to "Many are beginning to advocate in taking the easy way out which is to let the JCS people do as they wish.".
I'm not a gifted writer who is good with politically correct rhetoric so when I was typing it up, I didn't think it was offensive, just a casual style of writing. But since it can be seen as offensive, I apologize, it was not my intent.
I appreciate your attention to detail, Kell.
OTHERS make much more side-glancing and flat out offensive remarks as a matter of daily expression. objection is met with "it's just a joke" or "it's just a game" or "toughen up, this is the internet."
this article is a serious attempt to call both sides to the table. I hope it works.
eUSA definitely is split in two sub-communities. And one of those wanna control and assimilate other one. Plane fact.
Our sub-community is precious to us and we did not let other one destroy us even we decline funds. That fact show how much we appreciate own community.
We let them to own everything, but that is not enough for them ! They wanna crush us, destroy us, and assimilate us. So, do not appeal to us, You address wrong side.
Two sub - communities will never come along because is huge difference between us.
NSC is formed to cooperate and we are for it, but other part simply wanna get to us orders and wanna dictate to us. We get orders from noone, period. So they ban us there and now it is our fault ? xD
Imagine that you dictate allies something and they will refuse any dictate, what is natural, then they will become enemies ?
Small group of people rule with eUSA years and they wanna absolute power. US Military was just torn in their eye. And they simply wanna destroy us as entity.
Good words Kell. +1 to everything u are saying.
Votado.
I understand, HisAirness, it'll take time but the mentalities have to change. Including the ones that still want to control you, they do have to understand that the JCS group now is different than before, they do have the option of choosing their own priorities.
But we need to focus on keeping communication open, not making things worse with crazy comments about how USAF sucks, people are under puppet control in the government, and a whole bunch of nonsense, it just makes things worse.
We need to continually strive for cooperation and better relationship, no matter what.
If we had more level-headed articles and debates like this maybe we could actually get somewhere.
There are faults on both sides of the issue, and there is no point in blaming or criticizing the other side.
What we should rather focus on is what to do next, and how we can get to a solution or compromise.
Good article Kell 😃
And Airness brings up a fair point. the eUS Military and the eUSAF both have different communities, and bringing them together could pose some clashes/problems. How would we go about bringing the two sides together, but at the same time keeping the communities that we love to be a part in?
Merging the communities should not be a goal, because each group enjoys the community they have established. The main and only goal right now is quality communication and a good relationship.
Kell I was every single day in #NSC, every single day. And I was satisfied wit collaboration. In fact I was lobbying long time one global plan which was accepted in eUSA, Terra and EDEN finally. THat plan was successfully implemented.
But, something change fast, someone behind scene pull strings and result is ordering us TO DO IT ! If not we will ban You from channel and accuse in public that You are traitors, against collaboration etc.
I know that for sure because I know well Alexander, we often talk in private about things. But obviously someone own him and order him what he have to do...
It does sound fishy but since I'm not in the channel, I'm not sure what happened. What AA posted on the forums was that he was fed up with it, so it was an emotional reaction, I dunno. Hopefully we can let the drama die down a little bit and can talk again to discuss what happened, and how we can prevent it from happening again.
I haven't heard anyone throw that schlocky sandbox analogy in a while.
Here's hoping that level heads like yours prevail, Kell. Good article.
