I came back to this miserable game looking to rekindle my interest in writing, and got to looking up all the newspapers I've written and run, in addition to my own Custer's Stand in its various incarnations. It's a different game today, we've lost a lot of legends, but I'm sure today's game presents enough interesting news and people to write about.

Let's take a stroll through my slice of media history.

My roots are in the old eUSArmy. I already had quite a resume in the ranks and in Intel, before landing in Public Relations. Here's my first Army Times.

The Cavalry paper, The Saber, and the US Armed Forces Newsletter.

I'm sure I've written for the Marines and Airborne, too, as I made the rounds of eUSMilitary branches.

I went to Switzerland to form their first national army. Ultimately their Congress refused to act on its official status, and we disbanded.
Here's how I introduced myself and the plan to the Swiss people, in the Swiss Armed Forces Guardian.

Wrote some good papers, worked with some talented people. /understatement
Being Secretary of Media under a half dozen Presidents, running a handful of government newspapers plus the eNPR radio show.. so many stories about getting out the stories..!
There was this one time when the official Secretary of Media was.. unsatisfactory. So Fidel Custer, Raul Killah and Che Anarchy seized control of the Official US Government Media Viva la Revolucion!

Press Secretary Aramec wrote a hilarious daily post at the forums, a snarky glimpse into discussions in the top secret Cabinet meetings. As SecMed, I pasted his work into my format in the Chief of Staff's newspaper for media consumption.
This edition of The Daily Briefing is too kind.

Another government newspaper under the purview of the Secretary of Media, the Pony Express presented links to all the government papers, plus top US and foreign news. Many have tried, many have failed, the Pony Express saw a dozen changes of management and format, and just never really caught on. I used it as a training ground, to get new Staff members accustomed to working within a set format and exact attention to detail.
I don't know who that guy is or how he got an old government Org.

Hell, I even had fun running the Congress newspaper.
Which, by the way, hasn't been published in almost two years.
Maybe someone (hello, Top 5) will run this Old Fuck for Congress this month, and maybe I can get ahold of The Speaker's Word again..
(mic drop)
