1 January 2008 - General elections in eRepublik for the second time.
Iran becomes the first country in eRepublik to adopt Monarchy with Koroush as Emperor.

10 January 2008 - The first intelligence agency in eRepublik formed by Koroush in Iran.
Elections for Party Presidents were held.

11 January 2008 - Ireland is working on creating the first eRepublik country Constitution.

15 January 2008 - The birth of the first Alliance in eRepublik. Norway, Russia, United Kingdom and Ireland are now in the Northern Alliance.

18 January 2008 - eRepublik's first real Economic League Table, created and analyzed by Kaleb. For top 10 countries in eRepublik, you can find several indicators such as: Total GDP, GDP change, Active population, Population change, GDP/Capital and GDP/Capital change. Here is the article.

20 January 2008 - Local elections take place in eRepublik. The candidates proposed by Party Presidents have the chance to become Mayors and will administrate regional budgets, buying hospitals and setting the company monthly taxes.

22 January 2008 - First Human Rights Charter in eRepublik published by Koroush in Iran.

23 January 2008 - Iran becomes the first country to adopt a national anthem.


1 February 2008 - Third General Elections in eRepublik
For the first time there was a tie for the Presidential seat in United Kingdom.

6 February 2008 - The organizational entities concept, also known as SO (simulated organization) was introduced in eRepublik. Now citizens are allowed to have several entities such as banks, lotteries and ministerial departments if they respect the rules.

10 February 2008 - Elections for Party Presidents are held.

13 February 2008 - eRepublik time changed to Pacific Time. See Time in eRepublik for more information.

18 February 2008 - One of the first Non Aggression Pacts was signed between Indonesia and Pakistan. The pact was signed by om_mudakir (Indonesia) and Dio Brando (Pakistan).

20 February 2008 - Local elections take place in eRepublik. The candidates proposed by Party Presidents have the chance to become Mayors and will administrate regional budgets, buying hospitals and setting the company monthly taxes.

27 February 2008 - Norway left the Northern Alliance and signed a Mutual Protection Pact (MPP) with Sweden.


1 March 2008 - Fourth General Elections in eRepublik. (Presidents - March 2008)

10 March 2008 - Elections for Party Presidents are held.

14 March 2008 - Presidents are now able to sign country trade agreements.

15 March 2008 - First trade agreement in eRepublik was signed between UK and Ireland.

1 March 2008 - First wedding in eRepublik between two Romanian citizens (Cristesco and elena.coman). The coverage of the event.

18 March 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Norway and Greece.

20 March 2008 - Local elections take place in eRepublik. The candidates proposed by Party Presidents have the chance to become Mayors and will administrate regional budgets, buying hospitals and setting the company monthly taxes.

21 March 2008 - Solutions were implemented in order to stop overproduction of raw materials, which is causing a high unemployment rate in some countries.

30 March 2008 - The first eRepublik real life meeting took place in Bucharest, Romania. More details about the event here.

2 April 2008 - Russia becomes the first communist country in eRepublik.

4 April 2008 - Romania and Republic of Moldova union. The Presidents of Romania and Republic of Moldova decided to unite their countries taking into consideration the historical connection between them and the fact that the majority of citizens in Moldavia consider themselves Romanians. Both Presidents opened referendums (Romanian referendum and Moldavian referendum) concerning this proposal and a majority of voters agreed with the union.

7 April 2008 - The war module, which is one of the most expected features in eRepublik, is now live. The Platonic Era ends and the Julius Caesar Era begins.

8 April 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Iran and Turkey.

10 April 2008 - First wars in eRepublik starte😛
Belgium-United Kingdom War began. This war was an earlier arranged union between the two countries.
Slovakia decided to attack the Czech Republic.

11 April 2008 - The first major conflict in The New World started with the declaration of war by the USA on Canada.
Trade agreement was signed between UK and South Africa.

12 April 2008 - The union between Romania and Moldavia started, see Moldavia-Romania War.
Turkey declared war on Israel, see Turkey-Israel War

13 April 2008 - The United Kingdom conquers Belgium, ending the Belgium-United Kingdom War.
The Czech Republic takes all of Slovakia's regions, ending the Slovakia-Czech Republic War.
President isnuwardana of Indonesia proposes war against Australia to the Congress.

14 April 2008 - Indonesia attacks Australia. This war will bring to surface the first eRepublik War Heroes.

15 April 2008 - The Moldavia-Romania War ends. Moldavia is totally absorbed into Romania.
Indonesia conquers the Australian regions of Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia in the Indonesia-Australia War.

16 April 2008 - Israel disappears from the map of eRepublik after being fully taken by Turkey in the Turkey-Israel War.
Pakistan decides that is the time to expand. Its first target is India, and the Pakistan-India War starts.
South Australia is conquered by Indonesia in the Indonesia-Australia War.
A Trade agreement is signed between Indonesia and Romania.

17 April 2008 - New South Wales, the capital of Australia, and Victoria are conquered by Indonesia. The Australian capital is moved to Hobart, the next and last battleground in the Indonesia-Australia War.
A Trade agreement is signed between Sweden and Canada.

18 April 2008 - Australia is fully conquered by Indonesia.
Norway starts expanding its border towards Asia and decides to attack Finland. This is the beginning of the Norway-Finland War - a strategic move made in order to dominate the entire north-east of Europe.

Norway-Finland War
USA-Canada War

21 April 2008 - The Pakistan-India War ends - India is no match for the Pakistani armed forces, so India's regions become Pakistan's regions.
The Norway-Finland War ends - the territory of Finland is taken by Norway.
Sweden declares war on Denmark.

23 April 2008 - Denmark fights bravely against the Swedish invasion in the Sweden-Denmark War, but it is conquered anyway.

24 April 2008 - Asia is in turmoil. Japan declares war upon South Korea and the Japan-South Korea War starts. Many freedom fighters join the attacked state.

26 April 2008 - After 14 days of military engagements, the USA-Canada War results in a draw due to the actions of the many freedom fighters who joined Canada in search of action and fame.
The First eRepublik strike occurs in Iran due to the leadership and policies of Izirbat.
Japan and South Korea are fighting in the Japan-South Korea War.


1 May 2008 - The Sweden-Germany War begins when Sweden attacks Germany.
The Norway-Russia War begins when Norway attacks Russia. Both countries claim that their reasons are "to expand our territory".
A Trade agreement was signed between South Africa and Venezuela.
The sixth General Elections in eRepublik are held. (Presidents - May 2008)

5 May 2008 - China-Pakistan War starts when China declared war on Pakistan.

6 May 2008 - Norway successfully conquered Russia, becoming the largest nation in the game by geographic size.

8 May 2008 - Once again, everybody saw that organizing is more important than the number of fights won. South Korea is conquered by Japan which ends Japan-South Korea War.

10 May 2008 - Second wedding in eRepublik between two Spanish citizens (Zhughe Liang and Allyena). Coverage of the event.

11 May 2008 - France and Italy declared war on Switzerland. This was the first War in which two countries attacked another country at the same time.

12 May 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Japan and Indonesia .

13 May 2008 - Switzerland loses the War against France and Italy.

14 May 2008 - The Pakistani-Chinese War was won by Pakistan with little resistance.
Also, Romania attacked Ukraine. The official reason for this war was that Romania wanted some historical regions from Ukraine.

15 May 2008 - Political Takeover of North Korea has began.

17 May 2008 - Ukraine loses the War with Romania.

18 May 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Italy and Japan .

20 May 2008 - After the long Sweden-Germany War, a controversial ceasefire and an even more controversial peace Contract, Germany was given 3 regions that were previously conquered by Sweden in exchange for their alliance.

25 May 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Turkey and Indonesia .

27 May 2008 - Germany-Poland War began when Germany declared war on Poland. Due to Pakistan declaring their ally in Germany, many other countries sent soldiers to aid the Polish defenses.

29 May 2008 - Formidable International Security Treaty (FIST) signed by leaders of Asian nations: nevugila of Turkey, Origineel.NL of Japan, Falcon of Pakistan, Pasdar of Iran and blink-az of Indonesia. The Mediterranean Alliance member country presidents sign the 1st Charter that would rule the organization of this alliance compounded by Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Hungary and Netherlands.


1 June 2008 - Czech Republic is attacked by Hungary.
Seventh General Elections in eRepublik. (Presidents - June 2008)

6 June 2008 - Poland is conquered by Germany. In the beginning of the War it seemed that Poland was winning. They managed to hold the Germans off their territory, but the German forces became too strong with the result that German could conquer Poland.
Hungary-Czech Republic War started when Hungary attacked Czech Republic.

7 June 2008 - eRepublik has just passed 200 days.
Trade agreement was signed between Brazil and Czech Republic .

9 June 2008 - Trade agreements were signed between:
* Austria and Iran ;
* Brazil and Indonesia ;
* Brazil and Ireland .

10 June 2008 - Slovenia was introduced as new country.
Elections for Party Presidents are held.
Trade agreements were signed between
o Italy and Indonesia ;
o Austria and Indonesia .

11 June 2008 - South Africa, allied with USA, Argentina and Venezuela, is attacked by Indonesia in the largest conflict in eRepublik history to this date - Indonesia-South Africa War.

13 June 2008 - Alucard Bloodlust becomes the New World's first general, fighting from the USA (using their MPP with South Africa) against Indonesia in Indonesia-South Africa War.

14 June 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Bulgaria and Greece .

15 June 2008 - Cease fire between Indonesia and South Africa were set due to bugs of war.

16 June 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between France and Indonesia .

20 June 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Italy and Romania .
Elections for Party Presidents are held.

23 June 2008 - Czech Republic and Hungary signed a peace treaty and ended Hungary-Czech Republic War - the longest war until then (23 days long).

25 June 2008 - Worst hacking attempts on important user accounts. Hackers messed with Admin account and USA president's account. All problems were resolved very fast.

28 June 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Sweden and USA .

29 June 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Argentina and Brazil .
