Erepublik Economic League Table
Kaleb
Here is Erepublik's first real Economic League Table!
I've taken measurements for the current 'top 10' economies plus Norway which can't be ignored because of its size.
I started the record at midnight on Fri 16th and was planning on taking the last snapshot for the week at midnight GMT tonight but the admins have been busy experimenting with changes to the GDP calculation today which is going to make any like-for-like comparisons very difficult. Once they have settled on a new system I will start monitoring again. So these figures are correct as of 10pm yesterday (17th Jan).
I am going to show these 11 countries in 6 rankings.
1) Total GDP
2) GDP change (with the original figure in brackets)
3) Population (Active population)
4) Population change
5) GDP/Capita (GDP divided by population)
6) GDP/Capita change (ie. are the citizens getting richer on average or poorer)

Bet that took some commitment!
Well done and things are looking good in the UK.
Dude this is awesome.
Good job its great. Thanks for the explanation on forum also.
I understood now.
Curious about :
Gdp Change...
Italy -32.07% (7182)
Wow a day italy is producing 32% less then 1days ago. Great difference.
Wondering what could happen 😛 Any ideas what might be happened ? ( Sounds like the employees work participation has dropped a lot in a day. What may cause this except the players inactivity.. I'm talking about the mistakes politicians may do. Like economic crisis etc.. )
wow impressive info hope the admins find a way to automate this! Spain is declining 🙁
@Paul - that's what spreadsheets are for 😉 @Gazi. I think the problem in some countries is their currency. And a lot countries have companies busy working away to export products to other economies and then get stuck with a load of currency they don't want and has no real value for them because they didn't think about the currency exchange when they decided to export... @JC - they're working it.
The top-countries are all decreasing. It are countries like the UK, Indonesia,... who are growing fast!

Nice to see the UK doing well. Our nation is growing well.
Nice to see positive numbers in Indonesia. Our GDP/capita is not as high as some others since we still use low minimum wage. However, I still don't understand how do we get negative numbers in GDP/capita change, is it because our citizen getting poorer or is it because we have high population growth? I don't see any negative numbers in our GDP change and Population growth.
good work kaleb
good work on this... really shows how far Canada is behind 😉
to copy my reply to isnuwardana - you're population has grown faster than your economy. hence why your GDP/Capita growth is negative
Kaleb i'm entirely impressed. great work!
Where is Sparta?
Portugal number one in GDP/Capita! Woo! Should mean we have a balanced society in terms of income, however, the society (and political) points are pretty low. I don't really know how those scores are calculated, either. Any ideas?
thanks kaleb, great and usefull information
Nice article ..
Great job!
Yeah, you pointed out right. We really need an article that explains us, how are those score calculated 🙂
Overal, we, The Britons, are kicking ass. Is this something to be cheer about?- I'd say no. We're just doing what one would expect. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
(p.s. I'd love to see the Netherlands included.)
Good enough to get published in Daily Erepublik? Good enough for me 😉. I'm still trying to realize the importance of this information though, if you wouldn't mind clarifying.
where is turkey? 😞((

good work
