1 July 2008 - Eight General Elections are held in eRepublik. (Presidents - July 2008)

2 July 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between USA and South Africa .

5 July 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Sweden and South Africa .
Government Apprenticeship Scheme is the first official UK law/policy/scheme to be published publicly after ratification by Parliament on 5th July 2008.

7 July 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Slovenia and Czech Republic .

8 July 2008 - Trade agreements were signed between:
* Indonesia and Czech Republic ;
* Slovenia and Romania .

10 July 2008 - Elections for Party Presidents are held.
Trade agreement was signed between Hungary and South Africa .

11 July 2008 - Inflation system is introduced in eRepublik. This will help the Presidents to set taxes.

14 July 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between France and Canada .

15 July 2008 - The Congress turns down the first war suggestion against Greece by the president of Turkey.
Trade agreement was signed between France and Pakistan .

16 July 2008 - The Corvin Party is created in Hungary, governmental crisis is evaded as the coalition signs a new agreement with the renewed CORVIN and PPL parties.
Trade agreement was signed between France and Italy .

18 July 2008 - Sweden declared war on Germany. This is second time when these two countries fight.
Trade agreements were signed between
o France and Netherlands ;
o Canada and Netherlands .

19 July 2008 - The President of Turkey again went before Congress asking for war against Greece.

20 July 2008 - Congress passed the second proposal and Turkey declared war to Greece - First Balkan War begins.
Turkey and Bulgaria started war because Bulgaria had an active MPP with Greece and shared a border line with Turkey.

21 July 2008 - Turkey and Bulgaria signed a peace treaty.
First battles fought in First Balkan War.
Hungary officially announced its adaptation of the new Coat of Arms (here is the official announcement).

22 July 2008 - First Balkan War is under way - Macedonia and Crete are attacked by Turkey.
Trade agreement was signed between Austria and Thailand .

23 July 2008 - Indonesia-South Africa War between Indonesia and South Africa resumed after bug correction.
First Balkan War is under way - Macedonia and Crete are conquered by Turkey
Hungary officially announced its change of government into Constitutional Monarchy, becoming the first Kingdom in eRepublik.

27 July 2008 - Indonesia-South Africa War between Indonesia and South Africa ended with peace treaty. Result of war was: Indonesia now has access to South America.
Trade agreement was signed between UK and USA .
eRepublik has just passed 250 days

What’s so special about this day



This day was special day. Admin already announced in the eRepublik Insider of 25th July that on the day 250 of the New World (27th July) there would be some goodies. First of all the eRepublik Logo in the left upper corner changed. It had a red flag in the blue building where it was written “Day 250”. Also the banner that shows three presidents in real life was replaced by the avatars of two users and one party. The left image was Kaleb avatar and the flag was the United Kingdom one. The middle image was Dio Brando avatar and the flag was the Pakistan one. The right image was Flashback party image and the flag was the Sweden one.



All of this graphic changes were made by josefstark, a user in eRepublik.

But this was the minor part. The most interesting and crazy thing was that the admin decided to give a lot of invites to everyone. People were gradually receiving invites and in the end most (most because some people said that still had 5 invites and didn’t receive those given by admin) people had more than 200 invites. In the forums many users were afraid that the eRepublik was under a pirate attack but others remembered that the admin said there would be some goodies available. Although most of the people saw the invites as a good thing others claimed that with this absurd amount of invites multi-account would be unstoppable.

But on the next day the invites went back to normal so the problem referred earlier was solved. But it was quite a fun day and most of the people enjoyed the new banner and the crazy amount of invites.

28 July 2008 - The Hungarian congress votes to accept the change into a Kingdom. Hungary is now officially accepted to be a Kingdom.
Germany is conquered by Sweden in Second Sweden-Germany War.

30 July 2008 - Trade agreements were signed between:
o Sweden and Brazil ,
o UK and Slovenia .


1 August 2008 - Ninth General Elections in eRepublik. (Presidents - August 2008)

2 August 2008 - The First Balkan War, the bloodiest war in eRepublik history, ends.

4 August 2008 - President of Mexico proposes war on Spain to Mexico Congress - Congress turned it down with 9 YES votes and 14 NO votes.
Trade agreement was signed between Thailand and Portugal .

5 August 2008 - President of Mexico proposes war on Spain to Mexico Congress for the second time in a row - Congress turned it down with 5 YES votes and 14 NO votes.

7 August 2008 - The Hungarian congress voted to accept the change from a kingdom into a Republic.
The Independent South African Republic declared independence from South Africa.
Trade agreements were signed between
o Italy and Brazil ;
o Austria and Hungary .

8 August 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Thailand and Greece .

9 August 2008 - President of Mexico proposes war on Spain to Mexico Congress for the third time in a row - Congress turned it down with 8 YES votes and 12 NO votes.

10 August 2008 - Elections for Party Presidents are held.

13 August 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Norway and Slovenia .

16 August 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Indonesia and Slovenia .

19 August 2008 - Thailand has its third president for the month of August. The new president is s33vald.

20 August 2008 - Local elections take place in eRepublik. The candidates proposed by Party Presidents have the chance to become Mayors and will administrate regional budgets, buying hospitals and setting the company monthly taxes.

23 August 2008 - President of Mexico proposes war on Spain to Mexico Congress for the fourth time in a row.

24 August 2008 - Mexico Congress finally accepted the war proposal with 14 YES votes and 2 NO votes.
Mexico and Spain are in war now - Ibero-American War. Because Spain have MPP with Venezuela and Portugal and Mexico have border with them, they have started also.
Mexico and Venezuela war ended almost immediately - Only 1 fight was made. This was the shortest war in eRepublik history.

25 August 2008 - Trade agreements were signed between:
* Venezuela and Mexico ;
* Brazil and Mexico .

26 August 2008 - The defensive alliance, 'PEACE Global Community' is founded. Made up of 14 founding countries, it becomes largest alliance in history.
Trade agreement was signed between Austria and Brazil .

28 August 2008 - World War I begins.
Trade agreement was signed between Czech Republic and Romania .

29 August 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Hungary and Iran .


1 September 2008 - Tenth General Elections in eRepublik are held. (Presidents - September 2008)
Cheating in the Greek and Turkish elections were handled and Ikarti and Hufflepuff were installed by the Admin following an inspection of the results.
Trade agreement was signed between Romania and Sweden .

3 September 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Italy and Venezuela .

4 September 2008 - World War I is halted due to bugs. First screenshot of V1 released.

5 September 2008 - Trade agreements were signed between:
* Brazil and Iran ;
* Turkey and Greece ;
* Mexico and Turkey ;
* Mexico and Greece .

7 September 2008 - Trade agreement was signed between Japan and Venezuela .

10 September 2008 - Elections for Party Presidents are held.
Trade agreement was signed between Greece and Hungary .

20 September 2008 - Last local elections for Mayor take place in eRepublik. The candidates proposed by Party Presidents have the chance to become Mayors and will administrate regional budgets, buying hospitals and setting the company monthly taxes.

28 September 2008 - Contract Motion to admit Mexico to PEACE was signed between Mexico and PEACE GC members.


1 October 2008 - Eleventh General Elections, last in this period and under this name, are held in eRepublik. (Presidents - October 2008)

10 October 2008 - Elections for Party Presidents are held, last in this period (next one will be on 15 November 200😎, are held in eRepublik.

12 October 2008 - eRepublik Beta is taken down. Major updates for the eRepublik Wiki.

14 October 2008 - eRepublik V1 is launched.

15 October 2008 - First Party President elections of V1 are held.
Two new articles have been published in eRepublik Insider.

16 October 2008 - The Finnish Independence War starts in Eastern Finland. The region is liberated on October 22, 2008.
New V1 updates are published in eRepublik Insider.

21 October 2008 - Resource Crisis

Within days of the release of eRepublik V1, a Resource Crisis began to ripple through the economies of the New World. Existing companies needed Raw materials to operate, but since those industries were new to the game, there were not enough resource suppliers. Later when the new raw material industries opened, high salaries were given out which resulted in expensive raw materials which the average manufacturing/construction company couldn't afford buying. Many big companies had to fire their employees due to lack of materials.

The crisis resolved itself once production started to increase when admin changed the productivity formula to increase creation of raw materials and salaries slowly went to normal.

However a month late, overproduction of raw materials caused problem for a lot of companies as the production was higher than the demand. This as well, was solved as the admins changed the production formula for raw materials making players create less.

22 October 2008 - Finland liberated. Eastern Finland is again under Finnish control.

25 October 2008 - First Congress Elections are held and article about it is published in eRepublik Insider. (V1)

29 October 2008 - Few days after the first Congressional elections, eRepublik Admins are bringing improvements to the system which can be found here.

30 October 2008 - Improvements for country budgets are published in eRepublik Insider.

31 October 2008 - Poland liberated. Little Poland is again under Polish control.

1 November 2008 - Southern Finland liberated and under Finnish control.

2 November 2008 - Slovakia liberated. Central Slovakia is now under Slovakian control.

3 November 2008 - A group of Estonians published Estonian Independence Declaration.

5 November 2008 - First Presidential Elections of V1 were held. (Presidents - November 2008).

15 November 2008 - Second Party President elections of V1
China liberated. Beijing is under Chinese control. This is the first resistance fight that succeeded without any agreements.

16 November 2008 - The War between Brazil and Argentina is declared. Indonesia declares war on Argentina in support of Brazil. Spain declares war on Portugal. However, no battles are fought.

19 November 2008 - The Polish Independence War continues as the region of Silesia is secured.

20 November 2008 - Day 366 - eRepublik is 1 years old.
Day 366 marked the one year anniversary of eRepublik. The day was celebrated by celebratory graphics and dedicated articles.



22 November 2008 - Western Finland is liberated by a Resistance war.

26 November 2008 - Agreement for the Independence of Australia enacted - New South Wales back under Australian control.

27 November 2008 - eRepublik Insider announces that new countries will be added to the game. In 2008: Croatia. In 2009: Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Serbia, Singapore, and Malaysia


3 December 2008 - Finland took back Lapland. If she takes back one more region, Finland will be the first eRepublik country to re-conquer the entirety of its original territory

5 December 2008 - Second Presidential Elections of V1 were held. (Presidents - December 2008)

6 December 2008 - Turkey occupied Greece.
Finland re-conquered Aland and finally holds all its original regions.

9 December 2008 - Croatia added in eRepublik. Victoria reclaimed by Australia.

15 December 2008 - Third Party President elections of V1

25 December 2008 - Congress elections took place.
