Reasons to be Cheerful; A Domestic and Financial Manifesto.

Day 714, 07:30 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

Good Afternoon!

This is the final piece of the renewed manifesto, and is slightly smaller for the following reasons; it covers both Financial and Domestic affairs, and the policies from last month will be carried on over to this month, with a few updates and slight changes which will be in this article.

Firstly, take the time to again read the manifesto’s from last month;

Domestic,
Financial.

And if you haven’t already, read the updated set of policies on Military and Foreign affairs, published yesterday.

Without further delay, I shall begin to outline policies and initiatives that we will be following should you re-elect me on the 5th.

Domestic

Gifting – The Gifting Scheme has been running this month and has been busy helping people hit the 40 wellness benchmark. This significantly helped newer players and ensuring it was running was a key point of the past manifesto. Now that it is underway, I plan to make sure its existence is widely known; so that more people with low wellness know where to turn for help. This can be achieved in a number of ways;

Increased Media Presence – formerly It was myself advertising the British Gifting Hub. The Hub has its own paper and must begin to utilise it. Furthermore, the MoD and MoHa must mention the hub in its articles, wether it is in a sentence of simply a foot note. This would be effective in the MoD paper as it often advertises the Training Wars.

PM Campaigns – Once the API is back up, the MoHa can begin to specifically target people under 40 wellness. This hugely effective technique will help active players get their wellness back on track, and, as a large effort will be made ensuring people know how to maintain wellness, will mean they won’t need gifting again.

MoHA – Keeping people entertained is the tricky task often pinned on the MoHA. They’re doing a great job running and creating games, and running things such as the National Newspaper Association. However, I feel more can be done to get the public’s interest, again more articles can be made from the MoHA, and I can go about mentioning a few of their games in my own articles. Not only that, but the Ministry will be encourages to run more ads to entertainment and information schemes that they are running. Once the API is fixed, the ministry will restart PMing, ill players, and will be able to continue PMing new players with the basic information they need to get started.
To help the NNA gain coverage, it will be mentioned in all government articles, by using an image at the bottom of the articles. I feel the NNA is important as it rounds up good news and also rewards eager journalists for their good work.

This somewhat ties in with the regular article updates – this term I’ve gone out of my way to ensure regular articles are released from myself to ensure you know what’s been going on. I shall maintain this level of dedication and encourage ministers to release a mid-term update as well as other regular articles so you are completely in the know.

Fry Day! – Fry Day was an event held by the MoHA to commemorate Stephen Fry becoming of eKing of the eUK. It got lots of people involved in a large manner of games, and can include rewards and prizes. It’s a great way to get people onto the forums and attract new players, and so should be continued on a monthly basis. The MoHa are still working on contacting the real Stephen Fry, hoping that he talks about our little eWorld, thus bringing a lot of new players to the game.

Financial

Tax - Many manifestos concentrate on what they will do. In this situation, we would argue that, we've mainly done it this term. We have refocused our tax system onto income tax, and removed our reliance on VAT. Although it still needs to be monitored, any change will be fine tuning as we balance books.

Monetary Market - In terms of monetary policy, devaluation was carried out, meaning our goods are slightly more competitive abroad. We have used our monetary markets to deepen our relationship with PEACE, as well as helping our own businesses, and are committed to maintaining the benchmarks that are set. Further, we are looking to create a new generation of bankers and financiers, people that understand the markets and our economy, and are using positions within the Treasury to give them this knowledge.

MoW – The MoW has grown during my term, and now consists of 3 branches. This makes companies more secure and allows Under Ministers and apprentices to be split up to manage a certain group.

Of course, the MoW’s purpose is to provide jobs for skill 0 workers. I would like to ensure that every new employee that comes into the MoW is messaged with a brief introduction to the game. It’s something I used to do when I was the MoW and is general good practice.

We shall also continue to expand the land workforce, which will help increase the output of grain from the UK which we can then export to our friends abroad.

And that concludes the updated Financial and Domestic Policy, remember this isn’t all, look back to the past manifesto’s to read more about initiatives that will be being carried on from last term.

And come the 5th, vote for me, the candidate with fresh new ideas and ample experience.
