Fighting

To fight you must have at least 40 wellness. The higher wellness you have the more damage you will do when fighting. It is important not to fight too much, when you fight you lose 10 health, so you don't want to reduce your wellness too much.

The UK has seen quite a bit of fighting recently due to the activation of MPP's (Mutual Protection Pacts). When you reach level 5 you can go out and fight in battles. You can see what battles you can participate in by clicking the army page, and then "Show active wars". This will take you a list of wars, if you find one which has an active battle, and that the UK is involved in then you can fight.

Clicking on "Go to Battlefield" will show you the wall. If your on the attacking side, you want to see the area's be shaded red, if your defending, you want to try and prevent this from happening. Clicking on "Fight" will add whatever damage you do to the defending or attacking side. Using a weapon makes a huge difference, a Q1 weapon will increase your damage by 20%, a Q2 by 40% and so on. Through the early stages of the game, you will only need Q1 weapons. Fighting with no weapon will decrease your damage by 50%.

The damage you do will go towards you ranking up, from Private, to Corporal, to Sergeant, etc.

After fighting, you can use the Hospital.

Wellness

Wellness here is the same as Health in any game – if you run out of it you die. However, buying food is an easy way to keep your health up, later on in the game you can look into buying houses, or better food. At the beginning of every new day your health will rise depending on the quality of your food and house (a house isn’t essential, I don’t own one). When you fight in a war your health goes down, but you have the option to use the hospital. Q5 hospitals can raise your health by 50.

However, Q1 food can see you through your whole life, it is never neccesary to buy higher quality food. This doesn't mean you shouldn't, once you are more familiar to the game you can make your own decision on what food to buy based on what best suites your needs.

Why keep it high?
Your wellness makes a difference in everything you do in-game. Higher wellness means higher productivity, and it will also make you do more damage in battles. If you consistently have high wellness, it will raise your chances of getting a raise from your general manager.

How to raise your Wellness

The most obvious way to raise your health is food. Q1 food will raise your wellness by 1 everyday, until you run out. Similarly, Q2 food will raise your wellness by 2, and so on.

If you find yourself perilously low on wellness, you can be gifted, this is when someone offer's you a gift. A Q1 gift will raise your wellness by 1, a Q2 gift will raise your wellness by 2, and so on.

When you have been playing for a while, you may wish to purchase a house. These will raise your health every day with an amount equal to the quality of the house. (This isn't essential, I don't own one)

The most efficient way to raise your wellness is using a hospital. A hospital will raise your wellness by 10 per quality level. In other words, a Q1 hospital will raise your wellness by 10, and a Q5 Hospital will raise it by 50. In the UK we have two Q5 Hospital's, in the East Midlands, and in Northern Ireland. You can only use a hospital if you are in the same region as it.

You can only use a hospital once a day, and you must have fought at least one fight beforehand. It is advisable to fight smart. This means only fight the minimum number of times in order for you to replenish your wellness as much as possible at your regions hospital.

What this means is:

If you have 40 health, fight once use your hospital, lets take for example the Q5 hospital in the East Midlands which will heal you 50 health. This will leave you at 80 health.

The next day, you can fight 3 times, which will reduce your health to 50, then use the hospital again, to heal your health up too it's maximum, 100.

This means that you will be able to fight a maximum of 5 times a day and fully heal, if you are in a Q5 hospital region.

How do I know what Q hospital my region has?
If you click on the Union Jack on the left hand side of the page, and scroll down to your region, clicking on it will allow you to see what Q your regions hospital is. Alternatively, clicking your profile will allow you a direct link to your regions page. This is also how you use your hospital, if you have fought it will say "Heal" clicking on this will raise your wellness depending on the Q level of the hospital.

Excellent article as usual. However think you made a small error - Fighting without a weapon is considered fighting "barehanded" so you only do 50% of damage you would do with a Q1. Q2 does 20% more than Q1, Q3 does 40% more than Q1 etc.

40+50 Isn't 80 mate. My maths is shit but I'd go back and change that if you can.

For WuTanga - If you have 40 health, fight once (which will lose you 10 wellness) you now have 30 health. Go to the Q5 hospital in the East Midlands which will heal you 50 health. (30+50=80) This will leave you at 80 health." So its right!!!

Ta Da!
