BAM! Look at what’s cookin’ in eCanada. It’s BAM – The Best Article of the Month – sponsored by The Shameless Plug Award for Best Articles (SPABA). We’ve cooked up a fine spread of fifteen fabulous courses for you to feast your eyes on. Come on in have a seat a we serve up the best eCanada has to offer.
This 12th SPABA prize and 2nd BAM event is bigger and better than all previous polls and awards. Why? We’ve kicked it up a notch by modifying our judging format from a simple one choice forum poll to a more official judging form that allows us to rank 5 Top Articles.
This voting system will provide wider coverage of what eCanadians think are the best articles for the month of May, 2009. It’s as simple as scanning through the articles listed below, deciding which you think merit special recognition, and then ranking 5 articles from 1st (5 points) to 5th (1 point). Sample Judging Form: Try it out! http://tinyurl.com/mxn84r
At the end of the voting period, all marks will be collected and the article with the most points takes the top BAM prize. The five top marked articles will also be entered into the Journalism Hall of Fame.
It’s easy, it’s educating, and it’s worth giving eCanadian citizens special recognition for their excellent news writing. All we need are a panel of willing judges to read and evaluate the best of the best. Current judges are:

Thanks for volunteering Scorpius.
@Dade, I thought I'd sacrifice my entry to increase the legitimacy of the contest. In my heart, I'll always know who wrote the best article for May.
So this should really be SBAM then I suppose?
How do you sign up Plugson?
Just say you want to judge and you're in. I won't start picking and choosing who is a judge until I'm at 15. After that I will replace judges who are competing and will try to find best coverage of age, experience, and background (English/French, or example).
