[WGC] Romania Hits the Giant Retreat Button

Romania has totally ceased organized military action, and all Romanian territories are likely to be wiped off the map in the coming weeks. Romania, once the the lords of Asia and Eastern Europe have been reduced to a speck of yellow, and may soon disappear entirely. As per this article, the Romanian brass has declared that they have asked the Romanian president to "push the retreat button in all battles - including those against our original territories". What does this mean for Canada?
1) We should make sure we have MPP's active with Romania at all times. If PEACE decides to attack original Romanian regions, we can get free training from those battles.
2) The old order of the New World is over. Whether the two mega alliances break up into smaller alliances or PEACE continues to decimate the rest of the world with fake gold remains to be seen. What's certain is that eRepublik has drastically changed in the last few days. Romania is over.
3) Spain is now the only ATLANTIS nation with access to a high iron region - expect inflated iron prices in ATLANTIS nations while PEACE nations pull in the lucrative windfalls from the world suddenly turning to them for their iron. Turkey is the only available neutral source of iron.
4) North America could be in danger of a PEACE invasion. I don't want to be a fear monger, but the ugly truth is that PEACE is at this point completely unstoppable. Until the admins figure out how to clog the flow of unlimited gold via the gold exploit, no amount of MPP's can help us. Hopefully the collective conscience of PEACE will kick in before then and they won't attack North America with the gold bug, but there's no promise of that.
I am by no means an "admin hater", as is easy to infer from this article. However, it's clear that they haven't been able to handle the exploit PEACE has uncovered.
In a single day, PEACE took over Romania's two most important regions with ease. Further, they did it after the admins removed a whopping 200,000 damage from the PEACE side in an attempt to make things more fair. Before the exploit, Romania at full tanking could never be beaten by PEACE for any region, let alone their two best defended. The fact that PEACE took them over by miles, plus won every single other battle that day (except in Portugal, but that was retaken the next day) even after the admins took 200,000 damage away from them shows just how massive the scope of this exploit is. Things don't change that quickly in eRepublik without some sort of massively synthesized advantage.
Hopefully the admins can figure out a solution to this. I never thought I'd see a problem more pressing than citizenship - but this is most certainly it. There is a bevy of cheaters in Hungary and Indonesia who are at this moment multiplying gold to conquer the world. I am by no means implying ATLANTIS has never cheated - the alliance very well have been the first to do it. What I'm saying is that PEACE's current use of the exploit has removed gold's relevance. For this reason, I implore you not to spend your money to buy gold until the admins have returned its purpose.

totaly agree with u. i'm romanian and i'm starting to get sick of this situations . cheaters vs us . at this moment , this game doesn't worth players like us. the game needs to be fixed. after that , maybe we will talk . congratz for this article .
nice article dade, just put a bullet hole in the integrity of eRepublik. The game is hugely flawed in my mind now, and without Romania than this is going to suck.
I don't know if or how much cheating took place against Romania. I do know that after looking through the battles and reading the foreign newspapers that A) PEACE was totally united of focus 😎Peace was united of action C) Peace gave every thing they had. A lot of them Spending every piece of gold they had.D)Romania was fighting many nations all at the same time. Remember also that PEACE did capture thousands of Q3 weapons from Romania previously. As for Iron Spain has 50 iron Companies and more than enough production to supply Romania and any other country if a few export licenses were bought. Perhaps some coordination of ATLANTIS would go a long way in reversing our misfortunes.
I don't see why we're over here doing training wars when we could be making a difference over there.

@ sonny: i was in romania just a couple days ago, they had one paper from the government each day telling romanians to fight in a specific region each time, so romania was for the most part united in each battle, not so spread out as you might think.
Great article dade, i don't know anything about any exploits anybody is using, but i do know that with romania down, we're gonna need good leadership and a lot of luck to get some leverage.

This is not a well written article, talking about facts you don't even know. Sure, eRomania may have better army, but they were only 17000 compared to the combined forces of eIndonesia and eHungary, which was over 28000. That's a big difference.
