MoD - Air and Ground Player Support Scheme Analysis

Day 5,972, 11:57 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ministry of Defence

Introduction

The Christmas Air Programme scheme has delivered 162 weeks of rewards while the British Armed Forces Q7 Weapon Rewards Scheme has delivered 71 weeks of rewards.

There has been some concern from a few of those in Congress about their application?

This article will provide some analysis and commentary on the schemes and their application to hopefully address those concerns however in some sense to does depend on your perspective of what is fair and equitable.

Aircraft Rank Schemes - The Christmas Air Programme and Air Cadet Programme

As a reminder the schemes rules are

• We will be paying out 6cc per air kill with the following limitations:
• You get 6cc per air kill, regardless of the battle.
• There will be a cap of 2,500 kills (15,000 cc) per week for each individual
• Only eUK citizens of level 20 or higher are eligible
• You must do at least 100 kills for the week to qualify
• "Air Cadets" (eUK pilots outside the National rank Top 50) will receive an additional 3cc per air kill on issue Christmas Air Programme rewards.

The pilots fulfilled the requirements can claim their rewards by commenting on an article.

Scheme design and analysis

Our Air Programmes are designed to encourage aircraft rank development with some incentivisation. It’s an ideal scheme for those with a clear intention to optimise their increase in their aircraft rank are encouraged and rewarded based on their efforts.

Of course the effort players are able to make towards this activity varies, however the scheme is fair and equitable towards all, not biased towards a smaller group of players.

A lower maximum kill cap has been suggested by a small minority of players. However the main disadvantage of a lower kill cap would be a failure to treat those achieving the most desirable rank growth equitably under the “guise of fairness”.

We are all provided an equal opportunity in this game, the player field is level. This is proven by a new player in the top 15 of our aircraft rank growth development over the past 250 days or so.

If you look at aircraft rank growth since Day 5,713, it’s clear some of our players are more committed to this than others. Which again is reasonable, we all play this game for different reasons however our rank growth optimisation schemes will naturally better reward those who are making a committed effort to grow their rank as it’s their design.

With aircraft rank growth, length of time in-game or current aircraft rank makes little difference and the middle plot shows you can start to really optimise your aircraft rank growth anytime really, the Christmas Air Programme stands ready to support your development. There is no downside, you’ll benefit from the same incentives those pilots some wish to unfairly cap and the UK will have a stronger airforce. It’s win win!

Returning to analysis of a lower cap of say 1,000 kills, the evidence strongly suggests that this would not be fair or equitable; the current 2,500 kills currently means that the majority of pilots who do above 100 kills gets 6cc for every kill (those under national rank 50 get 9cc per kill).

Reducing the cap means less than half of our pilots get rewarded for all their kills with some pilots drastically under rewarded.

It is also worth noting whilst our top pilots contribute the majority of our aircraft rank growth the rewards are not proportionally distributed to them, the rewards are more evenly distributed currently to better proportionally reward lower rank players already.

British Armed Forces Q7 Weapon Rewards Scheme

As a reminder the schemes rules are

• We will award 5% of your weekly ground kills in Q7 Weapons in all ground divisions with the following limitations:
• There will be a cap of 2,500 kills (125 Q7s) per week for each individual
• Only eUK citizens of level 20 or higher are eligible
• You must do at least 300 kills for the week to qualify
• You should do a division dependant about of weekly damage too
(500,000 Div I; 10,000,000 Div II; 40,000,000 Div III; 300,000,000 Div IV)
• To support UK weapon producers supplies will be brought from the UK Marketplace*
*when UK marketplace prices are closely aligned to world marketplace prices)

The ground fighters who fulfilled the requirements can claim their rewards by commenting on an article.

Scheme design and analysis

Our ground scheme is designed to thank our players for their military rank development. Like our Air Scheme it’s working as intended, those who increase their military rank are encouraged and rewarded based on their efforts.

Again the effort players are able to make towards this activity varies and some players no longer need to put as much effort into Military Rank as they’ve reached Legend XX. However the scheme remains fair and equitable towards all, not biased towards a smaller group of players.

It must be said that unless you’ve been actively managing your account for a number of years, opportunities for military rank growth can be more challenging, however not impossible. Military rank growth since Day 5,713 highlights some tremendous effort to increase military rank however other players have made less effort, which again is reasonable as we all play this game for different reasons

Once again the nature of rank growth optimisation schemes will better reward those making more of an effort to grow their military rank.

Again when looking at a lower cap of say 1,000 kills. The evidence strongly suggests a lower gap would not be fair or equitable; the current 2,500 kills currently means that the majority of ground kills above 300 are rewarded with Q7 weapons; a lower 1,000 kills gap would mean only a very small percentage of our players would be equally rewarded.

Once again our top tanks contribute the majority of our military rank growth, however the rewards are not proportionally distributed to them, the rewards are more evenly distributed currently to better proportionally reward lower rank players.

In summary our Aircraft and Military Rank scheme reward rank growth are equitable and have been running for 162 weeks whilst the country has built a large reserve of funds.

They should serve as a strong incentive for players to celebrate and own their account development with active energy pool management and interact with our military newspapers to grow their aircraft and military rank growth which many of our players do.

The only blocker to aircraft and military rank growth development in the UK is personal playstyle and the government is on hand to help you if you’d like to change your playstyle so if you are not already maximizing your aircraft and military rank growth each week, you can \o/

When it comes to supporting our pilots and fighters via these schemes. Government continues to be happy to lead a country which rewards in-game effort and strategically supports players building strong accounts which strengthen the United Kingdom.
