Department Update: Vice President
Editor NewAzazel and Vice President Inwegen

Starting our updates with the new term we sit down with the new Vice President Inwegen to discuss his new role and his thoughts on the goals, challenges, and recent events Cerb’s new administration will have to accomplish, face, and overcome. Inwegen has previous served in several different roles normally as Chief of Staff or Senior Advisor under other administrations. Cerb and Inwegen have an excellent working relationship and have been friends for quite some time, which will allow them to accomplish their goals and work together more efficiently.

Inwegen believes that with two Chiefs-of-Staff ensuring the staff is on task he will be able to divert his attention to larger projects like refining the Unity Election process for next month and assisting the State Department with our foreign affairs. Further on the unity process, he believes that "we will continue to make sure to refine the process in efforts to bolster our community and destroy our enemy." Inwegen is putting a large emphasis on transparency and being accessible to the public to ensure all Americans remain informed of our government’s actions and decisions. He also believes that this new cabinet has gained quite a few new faces and has the effects of bringing refreshed energy into government along with giving promising young players the opportunity to prove themselves on the national stage.

The issues this country faces this term continue to be strengthening ATO efforts, refining the Unity Candidate process, and ensuring our foreign affairs are in order and our alliances secure. On the unity process, Inwegen believes that we will continue to make sure to refine the process in efforts to bolster our community and destroy our enemy. While these continue to be daunting tasks, when asked if he feels America can overcome, Inwegen states “I do not feel it. I know it. There is no doubt in my mind that this great community can overcome any challenge thrown at it.” It is for this community that Inwegen has decided to remain active and participatory, since “the players make the game, not the game itself.”

There is also one message he would like to share with the eUS citizenry:

I'd like to encourage all players to get involved with a major party to be sure their voice is heard and vote is properly used to defend their democracy. They should also be involved in a government funded MU to quickly grow their influence on the battlefield. Getting involved with the meta-community is the only way to truly experience how much fun this game can be. GET INVOLVED! – Vice President Inwegen

Vice President Inwegen has also written a new article which is in the Recommended Reading below.

War Map & Analysis
Press Corps Staff Writer Hale26

Despite a good 4th Division showing and our shiny, new NE against Chile, we have lost Hawaii.

Chilean forces attacked at around 4pm yesterday when some of our players were starting to log back on from work/school. Though this wasn't the best time for us to be attacked, it was certainly better than the late night attacks we suffered under Hungary.

In all honesty though, there really wasn't a "good time" to be attacked yesterday. As many of you will know, America had its RL Presidential elections yesterday. With huge polling line ups (Or so I've heard.) and bad traffic, people were not able (or willing) to log in much that day. More on the subject of times, this war will be much more interesting thanks to the fact that Chile is 2 hours ahead of us. This is a far cry from the 6 hours (1 fourth of a day) Hungarian time is ahead of us, meaning that the issue of time will not be as big a problem with this war as it was the last.

Also, I would like to remind all of our players that we will now be fighting a RW against Chile. Firstly- DO NOT HIT THE BATTLE IF WE ARE GETTING KILLED. RWs can be started by anyone, so just because one is up does not mean that the US army (or affiliated MUs) will be fighting there.

I personally recommend that you send a friend request to Cerb (Our new President) so that you can see his shouts. From there on in you can tell where we are fighting based off his shouts.

Please note- I use EST Time. This is 1 hour ahead of CST, 2 hours ahead of MST, and 3 hours ahead of PST.
