Join the new world

In a few hours reset will bring us election day. I have very much enjoyed this campaign. Running for Country President if done right is quite a bit of work. I have published 4 articles (5 if you count this one), answered a lot of questions, and had countless conversations via Discord/Text/PM. Before turning in for the night I will also be sending out hundreds of in game messages. I would like to thank those who have given me their support this election. It is truly an honor and it has made the time and effort put into this campaign very worth it.

Elections are about choices. Much of the time over the years strong contenders have seemingly taken turns making their run at the White House. This month is a bit different. There is a choice. There are Two strong contenders for Country President to vote for.

My platform is not about reinventing the wheel or magically fixing all of the ills this game presents us with everyday. It is about giving every major group in this nation a seat at the table. A stake in the executive branch. It is about paying attention to detail, and doing the little things that make a difference. It is about putting fresh faces in key places. It is about getting people who do not normally associate with one another to work together. It is about reminding ourselves why we are still here. Some things are worth saving. My platform is about involving the community. To help further that goal after a conversation with PigInZen, he will be joining my Cabinet as Secretary of Tech. PiZ has some fantastic ideas for a technological program designed to improve and consolidate communications. I am excited to see what this will bring. It sounds amazing and will be very helpful in so many ways for future CP administrations and the various leaders of the Parties that call the eUSA forums home.

As I said above I have enjoyed this campaign. I still have a very strong belief in our Community. SColbert wrote a glowing endorsement in which he stated that my values have not changed over the years. He is correct. Over the course of this campaign I have gone back and read some of the articles I wrote during my other runs at the Presidency; they are not that different in tone, rhetoric, or goals. I have always believed the best part of eRepublik are the relationships we have built around it. This game is best when we play it together. Negotiating and achieving a desired outcome is to me so satisfying. This game allows us to play roles that are out of reach for many of us in our lives. I will likely never lead a major political Party, be a warleader, own factories, be a Senator, or a President. All of those roles are fun and add to this game but would not be worthwhile without others to provide the social aspect. To me community is everything.We have taken a lot of hits and hard knocks but we are still here grinding on. It appears there are more rough times right over the horizon for the eUSA but we can get through it together. If you believe that we as a community are worth saving I am asking for your vote.
