[TB4CP] Guns and Diplomacy

Day 4,548, 16:20 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar
Propaganda is a vitally important tool in conducting war even here in eRepublik

Throughout my campaign articles I have stressed the importance of engaging the citizens of the eUSA. For the most part I have spoken about this in regards to domestic programs. However, it is no different in war. In fact getting the citizens and MUs interested and engaged for a battle is crucial. I have touched on the need for giving the community battles that matter. However, it is not as simple as providing a real war, deflecting a hostile Airstrike, or even attempting to land an Airstrike to help our Allies. I have always considered it crucial to inform the leaders of the MUs, the general citizenry, and Congress of the who, what, where, when, and why of incoming campaigns. eRepublik is a funny animal, there can be a period of extended quiet only to have an avalanche of war and change to descend with little to no warning.

In moments like those it is good to have a team. A special edition of the WHPR is frequently published to both direct traffic and show the citizens of the eUSA just why they should care about the outcome of the imminent conflict. Sometimes that is not hard deflecting an AS on New York during the anniversary of 9/11 was one such battle. Sometimes though the purpose of an Airstrike into another continent must be explained. In the aftermath of the aforementioned 9/11 Airstrike we needed to regain some of our bonus colonies. RWs were opened as a damage drain. We ignored those RWs and as a result lost some of our bonuses. We also initiated a campaign to wipe Cuba for their own treachery. This of course had to be explained, not so we could win. The eUSA was so much stronger than eCuba we could and did win that war with ease. However, we wanted the citizens of the eUSA to be invested in that short war.

Should I be successful in winning the upcoming election that approach will continue. Wars only really matter if the public is informed as to why they matter. Without buy in from the citizenry they might as well be just another training war. A 5th rendition of a Tyler Bubblar administration will strive on every front to get you the citizens of the eUSA engaged in day to day goings on of the Executive. With that I would like to introduce you to individuals who have agreed to comprise the State Depart and the NSC.

NSC Council

Yui MHCP001

Yui was NSC Chair during my last term as CP. He spearheaded the near flawless performance of our nation during Resource Wars 2. He succeeded me as President, and as far as a I know is still waiting for perception training, and the Local Government module. (I suspect 4 years later he is not the only one.) That aside Yui is one of the best to ever hold the NSC Chair post, and I could not be happier about having him on the team.

Andy Dufresne

Came highly recommended from more than a few people I trust. I do not know Andy well other than more than a few terms together in Congress, but I do look forward to working with him. I have seen from those Congress terms together he is smart, pragmatic, and ever willing to forward the interests of the eUSA.

Baby Groot

The sitting President and my opponent in this election. For the last 3 months Groot has displayed an unflinching work ethic paired with tireless energy in the arena of Foreign Affairs and Defense. It has been a pleasure to both campaign against him and serve as a writer for the WHPR under his administration. Win or lose I expect to continue to work alongside Groot for the benefit of the eUSA.

State Department:

Pimpdollaz

I have not yet really had the pleasure of working with Pimpdollaz. I remember him a little from circa 2013, and he was of course a candidate for CP very recently. I look forward to getting to know him better in the coming months as we work to forward the interests of the eUSA abroad.

Shiloh13

Shiloh has been a stalwart of the eUSA for years. He is a straight shooter that says what he means and means what he says. He is relentlessly true to his values. When he reached out to me after my announcement article to tell me he wanted to help in any way that he could, I was honored by his support and willingness to contribute. Shiloh is not one to seek the limelight or to elevate himself. I am truly excited to have him onboard as we navigate the increasingly choppy international waters of the world stage.

Aersidius

Aersidius, reached out to me recently to ask about working on the Foreign Affairs or NSC teams to contribute and learn the ropes in those two crucial Departments. Like me he is a recent return to the game, and is just looking to help restore the spark in our community. I do not know him well but have been impressed by the conversation we had when discussing getting him on the team, and his conduct in Congress. Though I have him listed under the State Department I will also have him in the NSC loop so that he can reach his expressed goal of learning.

State/NSC Liaison

zRTx

Diplomacy for the eUSA is vital. Here in eRepublik America is not a powerhouse. We have not been for a very long time. Open lines of communication with our friends and enemies is a must. RT like so many I have listed as team members is not someone I have worked with previously, but everyone I have spoken to has said unequivocally that he is one of the preeminent minds in the eUSA for Foreign Affairs and Defense. I asked RT to serve as a liaison between the State and NSC Departments. In my experience successful war campaigns were conducted with NSC and the State Department working hand in hand. As an added bonus RT has already demonstrated that he has no difficulty giving advice. I have not been President since 2016 the month before Air battles were introduced. As such strategy has shifted. RT has and hopefully will continue to advise me about those shifts.

GIMP

Dinnyin

Dinnyin is an old friend of mine. He was my Chief of Staff during my last term as President. Due to some serious marital issues that nearly lead to divorce I was not as hands on as I would have normally been. Dinnyin and Yui knocked it out of the park that month. I published articles, kept a dialog going with Congress, and negotiated an end to the MTO attempts we were enduring that month, but the heavy lifting was done by the two of them. Dinnyin kept the Cabinet humming along in such a way that I still look back with no small amount of pride on just how well that month went. GIMP is Dinnyin’s brainchild. It is only right he be able to get the program up and running.

Before I close this article I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has agreed to serve with me in building something amazing together for our community. I am humbled that so many reached out to express their willingness to get involved. Some of these individuals I have had a long history of friendship and respect with, but many others I do not know and likely they know me only from reputation and/or my articles. My promise to them and to the eUSA is to put my people in a position to be successful. I will then cheerlead and highlight their successes up to and including championing them for Presidential Campaigns of their own. Few things in this game give me more satisfaction than helping others advance themselves, their Party, and our Nation.

I would also like to thank my own Federalist Party, the United States Workers Party, and the Socialist Freedom Party for endorsing this campaign. I will strive to put forth the effort the outpouring of support so many have shown deserves. I did not run for President to advance myself or seek to gain more honors. I have had what I would call a very fulfilling and successful time in eRepublik. Many times I have been trusted to run a Party, a Department, an MU, a program, or even the Country. Each time I have done everything in my power to deliver my best. It has not always been perfect, but I hope that I have justified the votes cast for me over the years.

Until next time as always I thank you for taking the time to read. We can and will build something amazing! I ask that you consider voting Tyler Bubblar on May 5th 2020.
