I'll say it here: I am human, I don't have inner access to the inner workings of either alliance, so I could be wrong. If I'm not sure what is going on, I usually preface it with the word “guess” or “i don't know.” Anyway the disclaimer is over.

Despite my personal affiliations, I try my best to keep my analysis as neutral and unbiased as I can.



I've spoken briefly with Mainegreen, and he's given me permission to use his symbol list. I figure it makes the maps a little easier to look at to know what's going on. Here's the symbol map with a few changes I like.

Important Battles of Day 924-925
As it's been two days, I am only going to cover what I think to be important battles. I know I missed Argentina attacking Bolivia, and a few resistance wars that either never got anywhere or are returning land swapped territory back to it's original owner.

Latvia attacks Estonia (secured)

One of the battles that happened just before reset at the end of day 923 was the battle of Latvia attacking Estonia at Laane Eesti. Normally I would think it was some sort of training war (as they have done in the past), but the pre-reset attack and then a few articles like this http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/tension-between-two-phoenix-nations-latvia-and-estonia-rising-war-is-inevitable-1393833/1/20 make me think there might be more going on than what I initially thought. In any case, with the Hungarian and Russian MPP stack Estonia easily secured itself against Latvia, and Latvia hasn't tried to attack it's neighbor again.

China attacks Mindanao (conquered), RW in Mindanao

Yesterday China attacked and conquered Mindanao, the last of the Philippine territories under occupation by Indonesia. I believe China has been reluctant to return the regions back to the Philippine via RW thanks to the congressional PTO the country has fallen under, but I am not sure. If one of my Chinese viewers of my paper knows what is going on and would share, please PM me and tell me, or contact shawkcn if you don't speak English. In any case late in Day 925 the Irishman Cpl Useless started a resistance war in Mindanao. Time will tell to see if the Chinese will take advantage of the RW to return the region to the Philippines.

Sorlandet attacks and Resistance Wars

Day 924 saw a RW (started by the UK) in Poland occupied Sorlandet, followed by an attack by the UK. Both attacks failed with the wall well above 500k. Another RW started again today by a Serbian

Mexico is entirely conquered by Venezuela.

The past two days, Mexico has retreated all but one of it's regions to Venezuela. A president is unable to retreat a countries last region (in this case Baja) so it's last region must be conquered the standard way. Most reporting news seems to indicate that Mexico's congress was PTOd, likely by Spain. With a majority vote, the congress started to pass laws, slowly destabilizing the economy of the country (I believe the last would have raised the minimum wage from 1 to 50, making it impossible to run a profitable company). These moves were likely to get players to move out of Mexico so that it would be easier for the PTOers to elect their own presidential candidate in the upcoming elections. In an attempt to stop the PTOers efforts, Mexico intentionally let their country get attacked and wiped out to halt this. When Venezuela will return Mexico to the map is still under some debate. Some believe they will try to return the country just before the next congressional elections with limited regions to try to regain the congressional majority. Others think they will allow occupation to continue past the congressional election. If this does happen it would be either a major risk at success or failure, as without a congress a country has open citizenship, allowing anyone who moves into a region to become a citizen without congressional approval. This would essentially become a race between players supporting sovereign Mexico to those supporting the PTOers as to who will get more players in.

Currently a RW is occurring in Southeast of Mexico, started by a citizen of Spain. If Spain's government is supporting the PTO effort, it will be extremely difficult for Venezuela to stop Spain, it's coffers, and soldiers from returning Mexico to the map.

Pakistan regions under control by Phoenix powers. Resistance wars rage in Iranian holdings.


A few days ago, India conquered Pakistan, wiping the country off the map and clearing it's MPP's and Open wars. Pakistan has still not returned to the map, but all of it's regions are now under Phoenix control, in the hands of Serbia and Iran. The regions haven't been returned yet, but two Resistance Wars are currently underway in Iranian controlled Balochistan and North West Frontier Providence.

Turkey attacks Haifa district, Israel

One of the longest running wars in erepublik has started again, with Turkey attacking Israel's Hafia District. Since the last time battles waged between the two countries, the small country of Israel has let a few of it's MPP's falter, and it is likely to lose ground. Undoubtedly (as has happened every other time) Greece will come to Israel's rescue and either attack the occupied territories or attack Turkey directly. In either case Turkey will become blocked and unable continue it's attack.
