Announcing the Army Group West

ANNOUNCING THE U.S. ARMY GROUP WEST
A little while ago, the U.S. Army was split into two branches: the Army Group West (A.G.W.) and the Army Group East (A.G.E.). The A.G.W. is on a recruiting drive and is looking for good, strong and active soldiers. Here are some reasons to join:

POWER:
Though A.G.W. only requires its members to have 9 strength, our average strength is over 16. Combined with some weapons, tickets, and orders to direct where all that firepower goes, the A.G.W. is a powerful force for America and our friends in the Brolliance.

WEAPONS & TICKETS:
The A.G.W. issues at least 5 Q1 guns each day to its members. In addition, there is usually a battle each week that merits the issue of Q3s to all soldiers.
If you're a stronger soldier with at least 15 strength and Field Marshall, and that's not enough for you, you can join our elite Rangers Division where you'll be issued Q3s for everything but the rare and unimportant training battle.
We also provide tickets to all our soldiers for moving to the battlefield (we deploy often) and we are willing to provide gift assistance to those whose wellness falls below our standards.

FUNDING:
We get our funding straight from the U.S. Government, which provides us with a steady source of cash. Our soldiers also work in A.G.W. companies to help us pay for even more guns. Unlike some militias and other branches, we don't require employment all the time. After graduating recruit training (~1 week) you'll only have to work for A.G.W. wages half the time. The other half the time you can choose to work on the open market or get a raise at an Army company while still enjoying the benefit of quick firing for deployment.

A FUN TIME & GREAT COMMUNITY:
The members of the A.G.W. attend coordinated mass attacks, go on quick deployments anyplace in the world, chat on IRC, and work together to destroy PHOENIX. It's a fun group to join and a great addition to the eRepublik experience.
Also, those looking for promotion can spend a week at our newly opened Officer Candidate School. If you graduate and are certified for a Platoon XO or CO position, it won't be long before you're leading a platoon.

CONCLUSION
Soldier or officer, all enjoy the benefits that can only come from joining the U.S. Military. If you'd like to expand your eRepublik experience, get guns and orders, and fight around the world helping America beat PHOENIX, we urge you to consider joining a branch.

If you've got 9 strength, an in-game rank of Captain, and think that the A.G.W. might be the place for you, fill out this form and make to check "Army Group West" under the "Choosing a branch" section. APPLICATION FORM

Finally, here are some quotes from current members of the A.G.W.:

Idk what to say, I mean I joined the army, expected to kick ass, make friends, and get stronger along the way... and that's pretty much what is happening.

For those looking for a way to help out the eNation it's great. When I was looking for more responsibility I simply PMed my CO and he got the ball rolling. It has also been a great way to meet other players.

Sgt. James Eggleston
I tried a little bit of everything before joining the Army - I played politics, tried my hand at business, served a stint in the MI, and wrote a pretty successful newspaper. All of that was fun for a while, but I never really enjoyed eRep doing those things the way I have since joining the Army - it's probably been the best decision I've made in my eLife. The people you meet are top-notch, there's plenty of opportunity for advancement, and we even have Uno. 😃

If it weren't for the Army, I'd be twoclicking or zeroclicking. The people here, the organization and sense of community and shared goals, make the difference between a mindless and boring browser game and a compelling virtual world.

Cpt. Fizzleborp
From day one in the Army I knew I had found a new home. My platoon was warm and welcoming and there were always plenty of people to chat and hang out with on IRC. I soon learned that there is nothing greater than being up at 23:30 eRep time waiting to see if you tore that wall down enough to win the battle with hundreds of others. Now I have the greatest job ever, training the future soldiers of the Army as well as future officers. Without a doubt joining the Army was the best decision I ever made in my eRep career, so sign up and make the best of your military career!
