Shortly after Party President elections closed, We the People began accepting applications from members of the party who hoped to serve as part of this coming Congressional Caucus. The application for new prospective congress members included a brief quiz reviewing the basics of political life in the eUSA and congressional procedure. Today, We The People open our congressional primaries where our members will rank their top three choices over a 48 hour period. On Saturday, after the primary closes, Party President dmjohnston will order the We The People’s congressional slate according to the results of the election.

Below you will find our congressional primary candidates listed. The first group are citizens who have not served before in an eUS Congress. Beside their name you will find their score on the aforementioned quiz. The second group are members of We The People’s current delegation as well as players who have served previously in eUS Congress.

Why do you want to be a member of Congress?
Because I am involved and capable. And who wouldn't want an experienced player that is versed in all modules? I feel that it is my duty to represent my constituents.

What will set you apart as a Congress member?
Involvement, passionate working knowledge of military/economic relationship and cost of war.

Seems like I'm Councillor ingame atm, but mostly I'm the Supreme Chancellor. And I do recruiting and other messaging stuff. I'm kinda Hale's bitch at the moment. 😛

Let's just say Commander of ST6. There's been a lot of involvement with various programs throughout my >5 years. I've been in Congress 6 times. Enough to know the drill well but not so much that I'm apathetic to it or beholden to the job.

Why do you want to be a member of Congress?
I'm trying to take a more active role in the goings-on of the eUS. I started playing a while back, but after medical issues came up, I didn't return until the start of this year. I'm trying to keep myself involved and interested, and I think the political aspects of the game could be fun, interesting, and possibly even relatively rewarding.

Without meaning to ramble, the game is very different from how it was when I started, even though I wasn't around incredibly long the first time around. I'm hoping that we can work towards maintaining or enhancing a fun, interesting environment for the citizens of the eUS, especially new/"casual" players.

What will set you apart as a Congress member?
I'm sure I am not necessarily as learned in the processes of the eUS as some of the other applicants, but I'm dedicated to learning and being able to contribute. My desire to be interested compels me to immerse myself, and my hope to bring fun to others gives me focus. So while I may not be the fastest right of the bat, I'm very interested in learning and becoming a contributing member of the eUS Congress.

I have not held any party positions, either here or in the LAP before the merger.

I'm currently a member of the eUS National Guard, a subordinate branch of the private eUS Military MU. I have been active in said branch since my return to eRepublik at the beginning of this year.

I have a love for politics and would be overjoyed to be part of the congress, because I would be able to influence policy and hopefully make decisions that will benefit the eUS.

I really enjoy politics and developing policy. I am experienced when it comes to developing policy in RL as well.

I am a fairly new player (I was eBorn in february.) so I have not held many powerful roles. I was at one point a captain of a Flight Training regiment very briefly. I left that role to join EZC and I am currently a corporal in EZC.

As usual, as I am the current WTP congressman with most WTP mandates in congress, I have taken the role to help out newer congressman in their settlement in the eUS congress and its rules and practices!

Why do you want to be reelected?
To protect the country from possible missteps, such as the idea to lower the work tax last week. There are many people with different perspectives and I hope they may change and see things the right way.
