DMJ for Congress - Again

Issues

Hello eAmerica,

You've likely heard a lot recently about several of our big ticket issues. Canadian oppression, domestic tax oppression, Tom Hanks. It's been a long month.

As is pretty obvious if you read any of my posts in the Public Congressional Discussions (http://eusaforums.com/forum/index.php/board,15.0.html), I have a very strong set of beliefs that I stick to very strongly. I have repeatedly fought for and against laws in Congress based on those principles.

Some would call me an Elitist, I'm sure. Others might know that until about 10 months ago, I hadn't involved myself in politics at any level in eRep. Since that time, I've learned a lot. I've served in a lot of capacities in the Executive in the Department of Defense and National Security Council. I've been in Congress for most of that time, including a stint as Deputy Speaker of the House and a couple of months serving on the Select Committee on Intelligence.

Before returning to the game around Day 2000, I was a staunch eUS Military member with minimal trust of the eUS government. The history there was pretty clear to me, at the time. When I left the eUS Mil for mostly personal reasons of disagreement with leadership, I took a new road and I didn't really know where it would lead.

But, many of the other former eUS Mil members who remembered me and my work ethic were glad to have me again. It wasn't long before I was intimately involved with the USAF and the DoD.

All that experience has shaped my principles to some extent, certainly. I didn't start off as part of the government by any stretch of the imagination. That doesn't change how I feel about the things I fight for. I support the 10% work tax right now. I support the war with Canada, within reason. I don't see these as Elitist ideals or schemes. Both result in bonuses: they have been providing us these bonuses for a number of months. Reevaluation of both need to be constant, but I don't believe the time to stop either is now.

I've had the discussions many times now, and I don't expect them to stop next month. Things will no doubt change in some ways, and in light of those changes, I'll reevaluate.

The moral of this long story is, I fully intend to continue to fight for what I believe is right for the people of our country based on the information available. Not a sentiment of "taxes are oppressive" or "Canada is a proxy war," but tangible results and numbers. It's how I've done things in the past, how I've improved the USAF in my tenure there, how I've cut costs there, and it's how I'll continue to represent the WTP in Congress.

In the primary, vote for me, and on the 25th, vote for WTP.

Do it for me, do it for the People, and do it for Tom.
