There's been some fighting..

Day 883, 11:16 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

A fair bit has gone on since I last wrote an article. I've been busy doing real work, about commies. None the less I thought I'd bash up a few of I what I thought was the more important things and enlighten you as to what’s been going on in the world.

France!
Mexico
Laustralian Region

France

France, a good friend of the UK's and of many Phoenix countries is still fighting for its liberation. However, since its occupation began it has made fantastic progress. After 3 more Resistance wars in Brittany and a few days later in North Calais and Burgundy eFrance now looks like this:

Couldn't fit Corsica in. Napoleon was from there..

'Edit' ~ Since writing this (not publishing ¬_¬) Midi Pyrenees has been liberated.

As I have indicated on the map, they have 4 regions still occupied by Spain and Poland. The determination of France and Phoenix to liberate both French and German regions that had been held by Eden has here prevailed, and with Poland turning its attention elsewhere (more on this to come) it is likely that France will have its sovereignty back in the not too distant future. I hope after this France and the Entente will continue to cooperate and maintain excellent relations with Phoenix.

Defending Mexico

As many of us live in the UK IRL, we're no stranger to Polish advances. However the most recent move by Poland has gotten people around the world wondering what they are going to do. After regions swapping Andalucia (which has since been returned to Spain) and the Canary Islands Poland now borders Mexico.

So what? You may pre-emptively ask. Well pay attention and I shall tell you; Poland have begun a Declaration of War against Mexico, and border one of their high oil regions, Southeast Mexico. High oil isn't always the most desired of regions, so people are wondering if Poland will move on to attack Peru, or as I have illustrated here; the United States. Both of which have high resource regions.

Lol'd

It may of course also be the case that Poland will simply turn it into a fortress region, and use it for future operations. Seeing as resources are going to be altered coming V2, arguably any high region is valuable at this point, and it's simply an investment for the future. Phoenix has began to commit itself to the defence of Mexico. Many Phoenix countries including the UK have proposed MPP's, and have had good relations with them in the past. The US President Woxan has said;

"While the United States will not be officially deploying forces for either side of Southeast of Mexico, if Poland moves north the United States of America will consider it an offensive action against our security."

I couldn't have said it better myself (Without phrasing it correctly). What does it mean for the USA and Phoenix if Poland does begin to move north towards the US? In my opinion, we should let them fight it out. But I'm a sadist so that may be bias. Others may argue that preventing Poland form obtaining high resources pre V2 is neccessary for our own security in the future. Either way thinks will get interesting for the diplomats of the word, should Poland begin to move towards California (if they get confused Texas).

A Polish Soldier

Australia

This is pretty old news, over a week old in fact but not too much has gone on that you'd be interested in reading up on, so I thought I would mention this.

Last week Australia signed a Peace treaty with Indonesia after beginning the proposal, western Australia was attacked, and after the 24 hours won. I visited their IRC to find out their side of the story as to why/how this happened. I discovered that they are easy to troll, although one kindly pointed out it was signed because a majority had voted for it. Which I hadn't realised beforehand... Sir Terrifico managed give a straight answer about closing opened MPP's, but the obvious implication is that they closed their own set of active MPP's against Indo.

The Aussies say they didn't see the attack coming, everyone else says, stop whining.

Indonesia have seen a boost in activity, and are approaching being in the top ranks again. This article explains Indo's surge in activity and outlines a few long term goals - to make Indo great again (although it goes without saying, they are pretty cool anyway).
