Sober up, and take a step back, ok?

Day 886, 08:53 Published in USA USA by Bradley Reala
Hey America, TAKE A DAMN CHILL PILL!
I feel like I have to yell this, because no one's listening.

Over the past few nights a number of major things happened. First, as we all know, Poland attacked Mexico only to be stopped by Brazil. Doing this did two things. First, it caused Poland's "advance" to stall. Second, it caused Brazil to open all of South Africa's MPPs against itself. Next Russia opened both Poland and China's MPPs against itself. That's two stacks of very powerful MPPs that Russia opened.

Now, there've been some interesting takes on what was actually going on when Poland swapped to the Canary Islands, but the most important one is probably right here: Max McFarland's "USA, where will this end?"

Before I get started, I want to say that I have a great respect for Max, and all he's done. That said, Max is completely off the mark on this article. For those who don't want to read the entire article again, I'll summarize it.

"Poland must reconcile now, or the USA must take action"
-Quoted from Max's ad, advertising the article.

Poland must reconcile now? Or...or what? Really? Take action? Now Max, I know we're all being a bit hot headed, but really? How do you suppose we should "take action"?

Recently in the eUSA there's been some rumblings about joining with Phoenix. This sentiment, to my knowledge, has been almost wholly at the top, at the top echelons of our government. Chocolate McSkittles said it best when he said, "I am personally starting to feel like theres some posturing being done right now by aspects of the eUS government to do a side swap, much like the eUK government did. If the eUS pulls an eUK, I'm starting a goddamn rebellion."

This is not a new issue by any means, either. During the PigInZen presidency we were approached about joining Phoenix. When asked, my response was the first, and my response was the one that everyone agreed with. It went a little like this:

Join Phoenix? I'd rather drink gasoline.

There is absolutely no reason why we should join Phoenix, not morally, not tactically. EDEN is on the offensive again, and Phoenix happens to be the people who've tried to wipe us out before. If we gave them the chance, I'm sure they'd like to take another crack at it. Now, I'm not sure I believe the stuff that this article tries to claim, but it is a good perspective on what's gone on. I'm not saying Poland planned it like that, or that EDEN planned it like that, but frankly, now we've got a lot of major advantages (MPPs opened, and the like). We have the high ground, now lets use it.

I'm not advocating rejoining EDEN. Far from it. I was one of the most vocal people out there about leaving it. That said, when advocating for it I reminded everyone that before we were just EDEN, we were EDEN/Brolliance, and we can be again. This stupid infighting has got to stop, and it's time for us to take the high road. Does that mean becoming Poland's slave? Hell no, not at all. Does that mean that we have to stop trolling Poland and threatening to throw a hissyfit and join up with Phoenix. Abso-fracking-lutely.

America, please remember who our friends are, because our enemies won't forget who it is they'd like to destroy.

Post Script: I'm adding this to make a point about the "failed" peace treaty we proposed to Spain.

In diplomacy (speaking as a former three time Secretary of State) it is courteous to notify a nation that you are about to propose an MPP, Peace, or other measures. Apparently we failed to do that in this particular instance. The reason I say that is because had we notified Spain, we would've known that they would not accept the peace treaty, and we wouldn't have bothered proposing it anyway. Now, though, we've got comments like this bullshit that are trying to whip up a frenzy and scare us. Invasion is imminent? No it's not! That's stupidity! Spain shot down this peace proposal, not because they hate us, but because they obviously think that we might need to step in to France yet again. That's why we never proposed peace before this.

Now, lets think about this for a moment. We proposed peace without bothering to negotiate about it first. By doing this we probably knew full well that it was not going to be accepted. Spain didn't accept it, and now we have a KNOWN Phoenix troll trying to tell us that it's because Spain wants to invade us? Americans, you have again been duped by the Phoenix media system, and in my opinion, by the government itself. As I said before, there seems to be a concerted effort by some people in our government to push us to join Phoenix, and this seems like another step by that bloc to push us into a very bad decision.

Take a chill pill America, and again, remember who our friends are. Our enemies haven't forgotten who they'd like to destroy.
