<a name="parta1">The Canadians are Coming!</a>

The observant among you would have noticed that late last night, Canada attacked the UK, in Wales and more recently in the South West. Now Stop Laughing this next bit is important. One or two of you may have been startled, but don't worry. This attack is just another blocking card being played by Eden's side of the table. Furthermore, if Canada weren't blocking and wanted to take Wales (for whatever reason), well I wouldn't fancy their chances.

Why is this Canadian block any different from Canadian block's in the past, I hear you shout at your computer screen. Well this block is on of our original regions, which means Canada have activated a hefty number of MPP's against us. Something the US have been avoiding, and no doubt Canada weren't in a rush to do.

Why did they do that, I hear you shout at your computer screen. Well, due to what we believe was a blunder on Eden's side, the UK gained Initiative over Sweden when they failed to attack on of our regions before the last battle over the North East of England drew to an end. As we no longer had anything preventing us from attacking, we attacked Midtjylland and Lower Normandy. With the glove on the other hand, it was us now blocking the Eden aggressors.

Under normal circumstances, we would have continued blocking Spain and Sweden and launch a counter attack through their occupied territories. Unfortunately, being surrounded by hostile countries isn't a normal circumstance, and as we'd attacked the USA in previous months Canada took advantage of the MPP we had activated against us, and consequently blocked us, from blocking Spain or Eden. This means the proverbial Glove is back on the other-other hand and we now have 3 countries that can block us until they muster the guts to launch an offensive.

<a name="parta2">Progress in Europe.</a>

Recently, 2 Phoenix Countries, Germany and Bulgaria had their regions occupied by Eden forces. Germany was occupied by Poland, and Bulgaria by the sleeping giant, Romania. After Polands baby boom and Romania's offensive, plans began to take form, with the objective of getting our allies back on the map.

First, we initiated plans to free Germany. Several Resistance Wars were started in German regions, and towards the end of the battle Phoenix threw it's weight around and succesfully returned Bavaria, and Saarland back to Germany. These two regions were priorities, and as Germany is back on the map it no longer has it's open wars, but retains it's MPP's.

All that now remains is to return the regions which are still under Polish control. This can be done in a number of ways, the most obvious is to stage more Resistance Wars and liberate regions returning them straight back to German control. Alternatively, a counter attack can take place against Poland. Forces can be moved to one country and that country can be used to take the regions from Poland and then return them to Germany themselves. However, this is more easily done by a country which has activated MPP's against Poland, as countries population can then fight to help take control of the regions aswell.



Secondly, Serbia took control of Sofia from Romania yesterday, meaning that soon we can return Bulgarias capital to it's original owners. Being the capital, it was a key region to fight for and the Serbian army aswell as the combined forces of Phoenix did a great job in fighting against Romania and it's allies to take control of the region. This is another step on the way to returning the sovereignity of Bulgaria, who currently hold 3 of their regions, Vidin, Varna, and Burgas.

There's still a lot of work and fighting ahead of the Phoenix forces, but progress is certainly being made. With the UK repelling blocks whilst Phoenix is not only liberating German and Bulgarian regions, but also defending Indonesia from new found aggressors, fighting is breaking out everywhere. Armies on both sides of these wars are finding themselves spread thin.

<a name="parta3">Congress Elections, Military Enrolement, and Hospitals.</a>

Tomorrow is the 25th of the month, and that means it's everyones favourite day; Congress election day. The day when people appear in their droves at their polling station, and vote for the candidate they think will serve their region best. However this month, the results may differe slightly than we'd expect; as everyone has been moved to London. This means many voters from the UK's outer regions may not be returning to vote, and many incumbent congressmen may have trouble recieving votes from their traditional support bases. I myself am running in the South West, and a lot of the original population here has moved to London to help build up the wall. It is also the case that Congressmen probably won't stay in the region they were elected in, as every individual living in London can help make a difference should it be attacked.

If you're wondering how you can help fight for you country, and your alliance then the answer is simple. The eUK has it's very own Royal Navy, where players sign up, recieve orders and are given guns and ticket with which to wage war. Joining the Navy also enhances the social aspect of the game, something which a player such as myself who always has someone somewhere to talk to has noticed.

The advantages of joining are many, and the possiblities are endless. We function ona hub which makes recieving and following orders quite simple, and there will always be willing players on the forums and IRC to help you out, should you ever need advice or instructions on how to get by playing the game. If you're not in London. you should consider moving here to help raise the wall should we be attacked, and turn it into what's known as a fortress region. A region that is much more likely to resist enemy attacks should our surrounding regions fall. Whats more important, is that you are living in a Q5 hospital region.

Your attacks will be needed at somepoint, and it's important you understand how to fight efficiently, and how to maintain 100 wellness. Every time you fight, you lose 10 wellness. You must have at least 40 wellness in order to fight. A Q5 Hospital will heal you 50 wellness if you have fought.

This means that if you are on 100 wellness, you can fight 5 times, and heal at your hospital to get back to 100 wellnes. Be Aware; you may only use your hospital once a day. (In eRep, day change is at 8am GMT.)

If you struggle with wellness, you can contact the British Gifting Hub and they will raise your wellness to 40. Following that, you can move to a Q5 region, fight once, and heal. The next day if you do the same and follow the steps mentioned in this article, you will be able to easily maintain high wellness.
