Economics in the Eworld, are the main driving force behind all that goes on; Wars are fought over them, and with them, Foreign Policy is based around them, and the wealth of nations are dependent upon them. As a well-versed citizen on the topic of economics, I believe that I would be a good fit in congress for Oregon, representing on economical issues very well. But, being well-versed in economics is good only if there are stances centered around the literacy on economics. In this article I will detail my stances on major economical issues, and the reasons behind them.

1. Taxes: Taxes are the biggest issue people talk about when they hear the word "economics". People, on a whole, do not want high taxes imposed upon them if they cannot see the fruit of the labor those taxes bring. However, I believe in the U.S today, it is easy to see the successes that can be attributed to the current tax system of the U.S; we are able to finance one of the greatest militaries in the eworld, and the occasional hospital and defense system that serves its region and country well. The tax system our country has devised is one of the greatest in game, allowing our citizens to take home a large portion of their money, along with financing our great nation in its endeavors. There are though, certain issues that I take up with taxes. For instance, import taxes. I, for the most part, do not support import taxes on items our nation does not have a high region for, like Iron and Diamonds. If the Domestic Iron and Diamond industry was threatened however, I would support a protective tariff; but the way things are right now, there is no need to protect them.

The major thing I would push for in Congress regarding taxes, would be a perfect balance of import taxes on items we have high regions for. A perfect balance, being something that doesn’t dissuade other nations from importing to us, but also allows the government to make maximum money off them. As our government right now is properly financed, I would take the extra money our government makes off taxing non-citizens, and use it to lower the income tax in this nation. This would allow for our people to take in more money from work, and still keep our government in the black.

2. Citizen fees, and minimum wage: It is important that the U.S is able to attract new players, as right now our economy is in a bit of a workers shortage. It is hard for a new player in this country to reach level 5 and still keep their health above 40. One of the ways I would help attract new players, and keep them alive, would be to raise the citizen fee to 10 USD. Making it double-easy for new players to survive well. Mentorship programs are great for new citizens, and this increase in citizen fees should be followed up with an increase in Mentor, so new citizens know what to do with their cash.

Minimum wage in this country, and indeed, in this game, is a joke. Players only stay at level 1 for their work type for 2 days; only allowing 2 days for a new citizen to gain anything off of the minimum wage. Also, companies that hire unskilled workers, are making a future investment in the players skill; as they are losing money already on those workers. It would be idiotic to harm businesses that help our country by hiring the unskilled, even more than they are being harmed already. Also, the minimum wage for a country with a starting fee of 10 USD would further be unnecessary.
