Congressional stepping-down in Oregon - CaptainCAPS for congress!

Day 574, 15:46 Published in USA USA by CaptainCAPS

The esteemed Congressman from Oregon, Ssomo, has announced to the UIP, and his close circle of friends, that he will not seek reelection for congressman of Oregon. Ssomo has accomplished a lot for his state of Oregon, and for his country. Ssomo fought in Congress, representing the Oregonian people better than anyone could. His accomplishments in Congress are many. Ssomo serves in many high positions in the U.S government, not just as a congressman. He is the head of congressional committes, and the XO of the U.S Home Guard. Ssomo single-handedly created the EOregon Cabinet, which was made to get the voices from all of the people Ssomo represented. I am a member of the EOregon cabinet myself, and was gratified that my voice was listened to, and our opinions respected when Ssomo fought for us in Congress. Ssomo also made a private drive to build a Q5 hospital in Oregon, securing many pledges to help pay for such a hospital, putting Oregon down the path of having its own Q5. Again, a lot was achieved with Ssomo, and it comes with a high degree of respect, and a small degree of sadness that I announce Ssomo will not seek reelection in Oregon.

Ssomo told me about his intents to move on, fighting back protests from me and others to say he will not run. Ssomo told me that I should take his place in Oregon, and with his help I have gotten the nomination of the UIP, the party of both Ssomo and I. Today, I announce that CaptainCAPS will open up his run for Congressman of Oregon. I have worked very closely with Ssomo over the months he has served as congressman, and have utmost admiration for the hard work he has done over those same months. I remember when I first encountered Ssomo, running against him as we both sought to capture the vacancy filled by Michael Lewis in Congress. We both ran one of the most respectable and classy campaigns against each other that anyone could find anywhere, but it soon became clear just who I was running against. On election day, The National Siren announced that CaptainCAPS has dropped out of the running to endorse Ssomo. And never have I regretted that endorsement.

Opening up my campaign, I will pull a page out of Ssomos original political playbook, and over the next few days, I will publish my stances on Politics, Military, Economics, and Foriegn Policy. I hope to hear from citizens of Oregon soon, to answer their questions, and address what they need addressed. Ssomo left behind giant's boots to fill, but I believe I am up for the job.
