"If you have more str/rank, you make better use of the food/weapons you consume."
"The fact that you have the option to evade the taxes, but choose not to do so is your concern. What should the government do then? To drain the budget because Stranger Here Myself is too lazy to use the option available to him?"

I can't see a good reason for tax raising, too.

DESTROY THE FEDERAL RESERVER BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! LOOSEN UP THE SHACKLES AMERICA!

Ignorance is bliss.
THESE TAX PLANS AREN'T WORKING OVERNIGHT VOTE EVERYONE OUT!
These tax plans aren't working. Period.
Idle money is the baddest thing you can do for the economics of a state. And what will the government do with all that money? On this way people will buy less products what means less regulation of money. So not the government is stocking up USD but civilians are too. And that in times of an invasion!
Ah very nice. I didn't expect you to accept defeat so easily. How about a quote for yourself?
"Large colored gifs are a substitute for economic theory, because I think the eUS citizens are complete morons"
-Stranger Here Myself
I pity myself for spending my time to explain the whole reasoning, when your ulterior motive was to squeeze fame and political power out of the whole issue. You are the type of guy I despise the most, twisting the truth not because of ignorance, but for self-interest.
"EFFECT ON GOLD PRICES: NONE"
Did you expect a change overnight?
"EFFECT ON PRICES: NONE"
The VAT change isn't enacted yet! And *you know this!*
You insult the intelligence of all eUS citizens with such a horrible article.
Stranger, why don't you run for Congress?
The issue is that if you keep funneling people to communes, there might come a time where the income tax revenue is way down because everyone is either in a commune, or evading taxes.
People that work in companies at a normal wage are just as important as those that commune. We need to find a happy medium here.
Raising taxes doesn't get people more involved, it makes them angry and if leads them to work in another country with lower taxes. It's as easy as a hop to another country.
Is there a way to determine the effect on wages and the job market?
DXJack for Texas Congress! i propose 0 income tax, now some people call my plan radical, well i say the radicals have been in control for TOO LONG!!
Amazing call to arms Stranger. Taxes are necessary, but raising taxes so high to drive us into communes will not stand.
What is this? Some kind of Turkish economy?
I am in commune but that was my own choice! I wasn't forced in it.
If you try to force people in this kind of labor, not only will you hurt economy but also one of the foundations of America (freedom?).
Suppose tomorrow we wake up with two discoveries:
1.) Now taxes can grow to 50%
2.) Polish, Serbian and Spanish PTOers hold every last seat in Congress and now can hurt the country as much as they like.
What do you think they'll do:
a.) Raise to the limit! Suffocate the people!
b.) Leave them be. Our predecessors have done enough damage already.
c.) Drop them to 1%! Let's hit 'em where it hurts the most!

Great article, occupy the capitol.
Regardless if you agree with stranger or not, you gotta admit that his articles are interesting and he is contributing to the debate.
Someone has to speak up for those who have no say in the decision making!!
I've been monitoring the revenues and their sources in the past 3 days. The results are interesting. I'm going to write another article when I have some more data.
You are doing it wrong!
Voted for freedom, voted for change
btw if you know who spoke out it would be troll war all day
I agree with Kemal you just want a Political power nothing else. So you turn this situation in your use. Again if you want to change something RUN FOR CONGRESS. Don't tell to people for who should they vote for they can decide for themselves. With your propaganda you insult eUS citizen's intelligence.
@DXJack Your plan is to lower down the income tax tax to 0%?LOL you must be very stupid to do something like that. First learn how the economy works then talk. And SHM Cut the Crap.
Still nobody of the 'raising tax party's' are commenting on my economic view.

nb: Yes I want to be congressman in Ohio.
@XxBusinessMogulexX - interesting - he wants political power, yet he does not run for Congress. I can definitely see logic there.
@Jasper - because arguing with that is like arguing about the color of the sky.
Here's an UBER ECONOMICAL ZOMG THEORY!!!1!one!:
Total damage output of the US = (govt funded) + (privately funded).
(privately funded) = (Income+Sales) - (Costs + Savings)
govt funded -> constant. 100k USD of damage per day, period.
privately funded -> variable.
Oh look - we decrease "Income" and damage drops. Coincidence?
Good thing that we'll have some reserve once we're close to being wiped out, so we can keep the govt funded damage a CONSTANT, otherwise it'd drop.
^ Damage in terms of USD spent. Play with numbers all you like, consider the govt funded players' growth in strength and rank neglecting the same for the rest of the players, argue that in terms of influence it's not a constant, whatever.
Try to disprove that we're doing less damage with more taxes, though. That'd be fun to read.
@pure_evil His plan is to gain fame and to increase his reputation trough this propaganda and turn this situation to his own use so he can gain more and more power so at the end he will desperately try to gain some political power.
@Pure_Evil: Im happy ur getting into dept about this matter. Lets continue.
Indeed privately funded = variable. But what is wrong with variable?
Doing a constant damage on enemy's is nice and stable. But it isn't a long term solution. Short term you will indeed get more damage! But on the long term the people are less investing in their own economy.
Sadly there arent good statestics about income in the eUSA. Would be more fun to debate.
Kemal, the difference is that what I quote of you is genuine, and what you lamely mock here is fake. As fake as you are.
"I pity myself for spending my time to explain the whole reasoning, when your ulterior motive was to squeeze fame and political power out of the whole issue."
"I agree with Kemal you just want a Political power nothing else. So you turn this situation in your use."
Kemal Ergenekon:
Secretary of Treasury (x3)
Congressman of Nevada (41-42-44)
eUS Economic Council Member (x7)
XxBusinessMogulexX
Congressman of Maine
Running for Congress in Maine
Stranger Here Myself
not running for any position
Yeah, sure, it's me "wanting political power". 😃DDD
@Jasper - I think I should've made it somewhat clear that the second part is not directed towards you, my bad. I actually agree with you.
Basically, it all boils down to this precise fact - as you say, "Idle money is the baddest thing you can do for the economics of a state." Precisely. Because any cent the govt takes about 100k USD is, plain and simple, "Idle money". It can't be used for anything, they just gather dust in the treasury.
In the mean time, players are robbed of daily damage and development, which decreases - and thus, as govt funded damage is 100k constant, total damage output of the US also decreases.
The "explained" idea behind all this (the one that might actually look like it makes sense) is to build something which is misleadingly called "reserve". This, more correctly termed, tax buffer shall be used in case tax revenues drop below 100k USD, thus keeping the constant govt damage for a while. Sounds reasonable?
Here's the thing. While the govt can only put out constant damage in the best case scenario (so many tanks, so many food, so many training - so many states to take taxes from, if you wish), the only thing that can increase is damage done by the players themselves - the variable.
If the govt doesn't suffocate Average Joe with taxes that can't be spent anyway, mr. Joe can build a few factories, arm himself and be a pretty decent fighter. There's not much else to spend cash on, is it?
Bottom line: There's no cap on how much USD worth of damage the player can fund unlike the govt. Therefore, higher taxes kill both the economy, and, our fighting ability as a nation.
"His plan is to gain fame and to increase his reputation trough this propaganda and turn this situation to his own use so he can gain more and more power so at the end he will desperately try to gain some political power."
My plan is also gaining ownership of the Moon by scamming Kemal, and establishing a Martian space-base there, wherefrom I'll lead invading extraterrestrial forces. But now you unveiled my evil plans, Watson, bravo!
(Again, I'm measuring damage in USD, not in influence. Anyone unhappy with that - please prove that raising taxes raises damage output of the US)
Morrigan Alxeandros:
"Stranger, why don't you run for Congress?"
Yo cannot run for Congress without being a member of a party.
Then join a political party or create your own.
And
Correction: You do this do stood against injustice in this cruel world...You are the savior of the poor people who can't fight the injustice by themselves so you as their hero come and fight against the evil people who raised the taxes because it was necessary. And it's not Wetson it's Westen. Did i guess this time?
Coolidge was an incompetent President and a member of the KKK...
Hitler isn't known for his outrageous taxes, though they may have existed, so the picture of him even in satire form is unwarrented. Other than that I dont know jack shit about this issue lol.
Why do people seem to think you can't criticize tax policy unless you're running for congress? Newsflash, income taxes affect everyone not just congressional candidates. If anything non-congressional candidates are more affected.
"Coolidge was an incompetent President and a member of the KKK..."
Coolidge was the last true free market president, and the fact that you bring up KKK shows that you have no other points to criticize him on.
*insert troll comment to give stranger a taste of his own medicine here*
kooguy, wasn't your entire rationale for supporting the tax plan something like "gnilraps and portcolumbus support the tax plan therefore I do aswell". Way to think for yourself.
Rahm, I actually don't support the proposal. The reason I don't particularly like SHM is because he continues to make articles complaining and complaining while making no REAL effort to stop it.
This is my comment exactly quoted
"I believe pc is moderate. I'm personally against 25%"
I'm against 25%
@Rahm Manuel
Bro that guy, just jesus fuck man. There was a group of incompetence in a row and he was in it bro, he was in it... and the KKK part was just a fun fact.
"Why do people seem to think you can't criticize tax policy unless you're running for congress? Newsflash, income taxes affect everyone not just congressional candidates. If anything non-congressional candidates are more affected."
Everyone can criticize the taxes but he is not criticizing the taxes he is calling the eUS Citizens to protest by not voting for certain candidates for congress. As i know that is not criticism that is protest. And by doing that kind of protest he is insulting the eUS citizen's intelligence. People can decide on their own for who to vote for. Nothing gives him right to give orders to the others.
I mean mainly because Coolidge was to Free Market of a man. The Free Market is an excellent system, but if your a purist your most likely a moron or ignorant to what history teaches us. This was a time of worker brutalization by companies, a time in which regulations were actually needed to maintain worker safety and to that ends a productive economy.
To conclude, Coolidge sucked dick. FDR fixed Coolidge and everyone after his mistakes, everyone since then has started to take it too far on the regulatory area with few exceptions.
SHM, you don't have an ounce of honor. You can't even speak of your true motives when they are revealed.
If it gives you joy to f*ck economic policy just to have a howling fanbase, I can't do anything other than pity.
To the Moon and beyond!
This newspaper is media and media has always helped to enact change! Power belongs to people like SHM who shout from whatever platform they have and demand that they be heard. It is Congresses job to represent that voice.
FDR didn't fix anything, most of his New Deal was found unconstitutional and most of his economic plans failed. The economy recovered despite him, not because of him. He just gets the credit because he was president at the time.
