Day 2,129, 00:07 Published in Canada Canada by DMV3

My fellow Canadians,

I came into office with a set of finite goals for our nation, and your government has been working very hard to make those goals a reality. In the media recently there has been a great dissatisfaction with how our government handled obtaining trial membership in CoT. This dissatisfaction lays entirely on me and not with those working hard for this government. I take responsibility for those actions and I would like to take the time to explain them to the people of Canada to the best of my ability without divulging sensitive information to our enemies.

Several months ago our government and the government of the eUS had a falling out. How this happened is apparently a subject of great debate amongst the people of Canada, though for our purposes the why is irrelevant. Upon being elected one of my greatest responsibility was to help Canada rebuild this relationship and expand our international influence. Up until recently there had been one major obstacle to a closer relationship with the US, their relationship with Spain.

Last week an opportunity arose to not only rebuild this relationship, but to also make Canada stronger long term. Last week in retaliation for an inadvertent NE proposal by Mexico of Poland, Spain issued their own NE proposal of Mexico and quickly passed it even as Mexico voted down their proposal. This event may seem insignificant to the casual player, but to me it signified the single most significant event in US/Canadian relations since our falling out all those months ago.

You see, the US and CoT nations in ROLA had been under the impression Spain was actually their friend. Those illusions were shatter, and even the training war designation has not changed the situation. It was this change that led me to begin discussions with our Military leaders, the Cabinet, and Congress about applying for trial membership in CoT. I would like to apologize again for rushing into this, but as you can see there were reasons for that rush.

To help Canada recover from my mistake, I am conducting a foreign policy survey to ensure I know the will of the people of Canada moving forward. Please take the time to fill out the survey and help your government help you. Over the next couple of day I will also be sending PMs out to ensure everyone has a chance to be heard.

Hail Canada!
