[President] Fundamental Changes

For the last few weeks we have seen our allies fall, nations that once dominated the world are now no longer to be seen on the map. We are currently under the largest invasion seen since PEACE invaded, and the circumstances are much different this time around. The last time we were invaded on such grand scale as this, PEACE only stopped short of conquering Florida, and for one reason only, it ran out of gold.

That won’t be a problem this time, war is free now.

Hungary, Indonesia, Poland, Spain. These are the opponents we face, in conjunction with all of ONE supporting them. I wish I could tell you that this is all my fault and that if I were removed everything would be better, but that isn’t the issue that has been causing us to lose battles.

We are simply outgunned.

And there’s also this reason, as mohe3439 so eloquently described in his publication.

But don't let anything discourage you.



Take a look at these 4 nations and their support. Just take a quick glance around some of the stat websites and you can see clearly ONE has more raw damage and support in numbers.

But these aren’t reasons to lose hope, nor excuses. The moment you lose hope you are useless. We’ve been under the impression that we’re invincible for a long time now, and it’s allowed some giant egos to develop. Now its time to prove yourselves. Are you going to throw in the towel, or are you going to give them the fight of your life?



TERRA and EDEN, even if combined, would still fall short of meeting ONE’s strength, as can be seen in the alliance divisions. Then you also have to take into account that TERRA and EDEN are different in terms of when they are effective on the battlefield, also known as their “primetime.” ONE basically has a 16 hour period in which it dominates, but at night TERRA has the advantage.

Ever notice that when you log in the battles are basically already done? Wake up with 0-6 battles often? ONE opens battles when we are sleeping, and usually by the time we’ve awaken, the battle is lost. So long as our enemies keep winning battles, they keep initiative, meaning they dictate when the battles open, and this trend isn’t stopped until we actually win a battle against them. This is a problem we saw towards the end of Emerick’s term last month as well, which is when Spain’s winning streak began.

Remember when we were in Spain with Brozil tearing up their lady parts? What changed? Simple, our allies were wiped out and ONE was able to then coordinate damage towards supporting Spain. You see, a pig-disgusting Spaniard isn’t something to fear, but when he has 20 of his neckbeard friends behind him, then he can cause problems.

Argentina
Argentina left Terra.
I can only imagine the grinning faces of ONE right now. ;3

When Argentina joined PANAM, the idea of PANAM was to consolidate all of the Americas and forget about Europe. Then quickly, St Krems abandoned this idea and started inviting other nations, such as Turkey and Japan. PANAM started off slow, with fellow members still uneasy with one another. But eventually we found common enemies, Spoland, and grew closer together.

But there was an issue, the Greece-Turkey war.

At this time, the United States and other members had opposing views on the situation. Argentina favored Turkey. The United States favored Greece. And a lot of the other members were split or had slight leanings to one or the other. So what happened?

During this period many Americans were distrustful of the INCI in the USA. They saw them as ptoers. This greatly caused a pro-Greek reaction, especially after the Turkish group nearly captured a majority in Congress.

So Argentina continued its bond with Turkey, the United States with Greece.

After much tension Argentina has decided to leave. Argentina left simply because it favored BIAT (Brasil, Indonesia, Argentina, Turkey). But if you look at the map Argentina was actually one of the nations better off in TERRA. They aren’t facing an invasion, but they face continual resistance wars supported by ONE.

I for one don’t see the benefit of Argentina leaving the alliance, as they already maintained BIAT during the alliance, except now I guess the benefit is they won’t be criticized for doing so.

Also, in Argentina a popular slogan is brothers > allies.

So I tell you this. Maybe you never considered us to be brothers, but we saw you as an equal amongst us. Even if half my nation is occupied, we still helped, even though we desperately needed the damage to save ourselves.






Anyways, Argentina will always have a special place in my heart. They are reliable and passionate people and I hope to slay Spaniards alongside them, even if their brothers are helping them. We never asked to them to abandon BIAT or to give up colonies, just to respect the integrity of the alliance.

Fundamental Changes
We can win resistance wars, we proved that a few days ago vs. Spain. But now Poland, Hungary, and Indonesia have joined Spain’s invasion. There is a good chance we stand to lose 1-4 regions a day now. I’m not a pessimist, my glass is always half-full, but even I, along with several others, realize that to beat back this invasion, there is going to need some serious fundamental changes.

And no, do not search for scapegoats. This is not the fault of any one institution or person. But if you want a scapegoat, Chickensguys already volunteered to be one.

Also, I just finished reading Pfeiffer’s article and could not comprehend how he can be so wrong. I then read John Jay’s article and agree with him on most points. That said, I believe it is time we put off this childish old military vs new military argument we’ve had plague our nation. I aim to reconcile with the former, and as my first step, I’ll be re-adding them to the DoD orders. The next step will be working on funding. The only thing I ask for the latter is that Bradley Reala appoints a representative for his group to the joint National Security Channel, so that in the event we need to quickly pass orders and Brad isn't around, I got someone to talk to. Fair enough?

In addition, I don’t know if you guys remember, but Spoland has always been rather sketchy towards us. I’d like to remind you of these logs. And there are many more like them.

Yes, there was a time when Spain and Poland were essentially like our bros. But they turned their backs on us for their own interests. To those who say, “I can’t hit against Spoland after all we’ve been through together.” I want you to pay close attention to these words.

They have no problem stabbing you in the back.

Evacuation
This is not a retreat. This is a rally. All displaced U.S. citizens are urged to move to California and request moving supplies to do so.

Alliance Structures
Also, another fundamental change that must occur is the alliance structures. It is clear now that Eden and Terra cannot exist as separate entities. We tried the multi-polar world experiment, and it failed, simply because eRepublik does not allow for such a world to exist. This means we have to revert to a bi-polar world if we even want to think of standing a chance. You would think that Eden and Terra, as friendly as the two may be with one another would already be coordinating for the benefit of one another, but the fact is this: one feels more willing to help another when one is in the same alliance. Or at least, this is what I have noticed, and the problems the two alliances have can be solved. If both are willing to.

I propose current members of Terra and Eden be given consideration into a merge.

Final Words
Now with all that said, I am here to tell you what I have mentioned are not excuses. I just wanted to give some perspective to everything that has happened. I don’t give a damn if all the stats tell us we have 0% of turning back this war. If you aren’t in a Military Unit, you are a disgrace to your country. If you've lost hope, you are a disgrace.
