[PM] Merry Xmas Everybody: Podcasts, Updates and Fun

Day 765, 08:03 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

Good Afternoon!

The past few weeks has seen a fair bit of fighting; Here, in Germany, Iran, Hungary and Brazil. The USA still owns parts of China, and they are aiming to liberate high resource regions currently occupied by fellow Phoenix members. In order to be shipped around the globe to help our allies fight, it is well worth you joining the navy, or if you're of a higher strength, the Special Forces. You can apply for both, using the Hub.

Poland has invaded Germany and currently occupies 3 of it's regions. It seems that all of this excitement has cause a Polish Baby-boom, and Germany is hoping that being occupied will call upon the patriotic side of some RL Germans and get them to sign up to the game, thus creating a baby boom of their own. You can help them by using this website to vote up eRepublik. Simply click here, then vote by clicking on the coloured rectangle on the left hand side. Two seconds of your time could really pay off towards helping eGermany. You can vote 3 times a day, and eRep is currently ranked #5.

Congress elections are soon approaching (as well as Kwanzaa) and it's always a great idea to get in touch with your PP to get a list of your party's qualified forum using candidates. This is important as non forum users really can't participate towards the House of Commons without being on the forums, because that's where all the work is done. The put it bluntly, a vote for a candidate not on the forums is a vote for a candidate who won't be doing anything for a month. It's also a good idea to get a list of manifesto's for your region of each PP from the top 5 party, in order to get a good idea on who to vote for on the 25th.

Cabinet Meetins and Updates

Over at the MoHA, we've decided to look into ways of getting important articles voted into the top 5 quickly. We've decided upon a system whereby citizens can submit their papers to us, and whenever a Government article is released we PM all citizens who applied asking them to vote (and org vote) the article. Then, we shall respond in kind, they can message us with their article, and we will pass it on to all the included citizens again asking for their votes. You can apply for this scheme here. Remember, - the more people who take part, the more effective this scheme shall be so don't be shy to put your name on the list.

Not only that, but the MoHA has been running various christmassy games, where you can win rather large prizes. So, all you need to do is pop your head into the forums, take part in one or more of the wide selection of games, and after christmas you could find yourself being a very well off individual. You can find the list of games, here.

The MoT and MoF shall be closely monitoring the markets this week, and specifically observing the food market, which has undergone some rapid fluctuations in the past days. Various plans are being implemented to begin stabilising the market, and in order to maintain stability the source of the fluctuations are going to be identified and countered, wether they be domestic, or external.

The eRolling Scones Returns!

Those of you lucky enough to tune into the first live airing of the eRolling Scones, would have had the joy of hearing something like this;

"Can you hear me no-

We're talking away
I don't know what
I'm to say I'll say it anyway
Today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, OK?

Take on me, take me on...

Is it working now?..

Hello I'm Hassan, and this...
"

And so on. However, the eRolling Stones has returned in this pre-recorded podcast, that is a pretty good listen. You can listen to it from this website here:

If you don't have the time right now, you can take 5 minutes to download it (by clicking on the mp3 button) and put it on your mp3 player. Where you can listen to it on the train, before bedtime, or over christmas dinner.

Podcasts a a great way to get in touch with the news on eRep and be dazzled by the cheery banter of lead eUK'ers. In the future we hope to get guest callers on and cover a wide range of topics, whilst still creating some amusement and make it generally worht listening too and enjoyable.

One more thing,

Mr Woldy,
