It seems every time I take the decision to contest Country President (CP) elections, it isn't an easy decision. Not the first time, when I was absolutely reluctant to put myself in the limelight; not the consecutive term, when I was unsure if I had it in me to do another term; not now that I am taking up the contest for this responsibility again, fully aware of the challenges ahead.

Then why do it?

Simply put, to keep the fire burning.


Let it burn bright; This FIRE in eIndian Hearts!

eIndia has always been a nation under challenge, not unlike many others, yet somewhat more so, due to few key factors. Lets examine them briefly.

Fact: Low Population = almost constant PTO threat + relatively weaker economy than most + lack of manpower + external threat from hostile neighbours + relatively less bargaining chip with allies.

Fact: We have more than decent number of regions/resources to play around with; gives us some leeway & bargaining power with neighbours for swaps/rents/TW's - not many nations can afford that.

Fact: Good allies; improved relations across the board with EDEN/TERRA; and definite potential of increased coordination / even joining a friendly alliance in near future. Consistent Foreign Policy over past few months.

Fact: HUGE potential for babyboom (with 50+ million internet users in India) + highly intelligent & capable eIndians whose efforts have kept eIndia up and running in spite of daunting odds.

Fact: Sound financial reserves & big potential for growth.

Fact: Decent military force; respected by allies world over. Again huge potential for growth & increased coordination.

In essence, we are on track & have untapped potential in almost ALL areas - retention, economy, military and foreign affairs. So what is holding us back?

Only one thing: the FIRE in eIndia's Citizens.

eIndians - I don't know whether by dint of how we Indians are in RL & infect others who come here - we're just chilled out almost all the time; taking an almost passive view of the world around us. In RL that's probably how we even survive as one of the world's largest democracies.

The key challenge in eIndia has ALWAYS been activity levels, people's SUSTAINED INVOLVEMENT, overcoming the passivity & complacency that creeps in almost every other day. The sporadic wars with Pakistan have at times given us a shot in the arm; but its not a long term solution. What about now, when they are not even on the map - how do we continue to motivate ourselves & continue making eIndia a fun & interesting place to stay & develop - that is something we eIndians, all of us, need to seriously ask ourselves, if we are genuinely concerned about eIndia.

This FIRE - the passion to work for eIndia - be it in any role, and under any circumstance - this cannot be injected externally, but something we all need to keep burning ourselves. In almost every single term I have seen here - and trust me I have seen almost 2 dozen of them - right within a week into a cabinet's formation or a week into Congress' formation - folks start 'disappearing'. Even CP's & I have not been an exception - go under the radar out of pressure - simply because almost the entire load comes onto them.

Keeping this fire burning is no easy task; nor is it a particularly enjoyable one most of the time - but is it worth it? Is getting your 'hands burnt' for an internet community worth it? Ask any of eIndia's past CP's & no matter how tough their terms have gone, I can speak for all in saying: HELL YES, ITS WORTH IT!

My past 2 terms as CP, I wasn't really all that I had expected of myself. I see it as my failure in not being able to motivate folks enough; not being able to provide the spark to ignite people's hearts. I intend to rectify that. If I am elected as the leader of this highly-potential community, my intention is to keep this fire burning - to stoke the flames in any way humanly possible & channelize it based on reason - to make the eWorld notice what we, eIndians, are capable of.


I will keep the fire burning, even if it burns my hand.

While I will be laying out specific plans for the coming term in the next article, here's a basic overview of things to come:
~ Increased functioning of the Rajya Sabha & cooperation with Lok Sabha (Congress) represented by the Head of Congress.
~ Systematized mechanisms to be put into place for the selection of Rajya Sabha, election of HoC.
~ Completion of the long overdue Constitution of eIndia.
~ Ground up restructuring of Retention programs / Internal Affairs based on various ideas currently under discussion with many upcoming Citizens.
~ Formation of the Round Table - restructuring the functioning of the Executive/Cabinet + increased coordination between Cabinet & Rajya Sabha.
~ Increased cooperation with EDEN/TERRA; exploring potential/possibility of joining EDEN.
~ Sustaining the TW with Indonesia; maintaining balance so as not to take away damage from ally battles.
~ Strengthening the economy to the best of our abilities and as much is in our control.
~ More focused coordination between the eIndian Military Units - AHF, Marcos, etc to optimize damage for allies.
~ Financial backing for Media Incentive Programs of Ministry of Media & Culture - building on all that's already underway under Ashwamedh
~ Promotion of Forum & IRC as base for growth of eIndian community
~ "Currently India is at war with Indonesia. We're fighting to become a superpower." Becoming a superpower. 😁

I understand continuity across different terms becomes an issue - so please keep in mind that all structural changes will be done in such a way so that the current systems are not scrapped - only upgraded where required to better suit our needs. Also with the above mentioned propositions - Rajya Sabha, Round Table, Media programs, etc - not only increased involvement of eIndians, but also increased transparency & communication across the board will be a key focus - an area we tend to fall short at times.

Of course, all and any suggestions on the above or beyond are most welcome. So are applications for areas where you, my eIndian brothers & sisters, are keen to contribute your time and energy towards - Retention, Media, Foreign Affairs or Military. I leave out Finance, as Graf will remain my trusted Minister of Finance (& in truth, as many know, I understand shit of the economy). If you wish to contribute your ideas towards strengthening our economy I suggest you bug Graf over message or IRC.

The Cabinet-to-be and further details on plans & programs will be out in a day. Thanks to Azad Hind Fauj for the support; why I chose them as a platform is no mystery - I am ex-AHF & not only a soldier but an ex-Commander. It is my great pleasure to represent them once again, and for the first time, politically so.

So, my brothers & sisters, I am ready to burn my hand for eIndia. Question is, are you?
