What's up eIndia?

Its been more than 3 months since I've published an article, let alone in eIndia. And its my great pleasure to publish one on the eve of such a momentous occasion - the complete liberation of eIndia!!!

[Update: As per info, eIndia is whole after exactly a year - considering rent deals, regions lost to foreign occupation, etc!]

Having recently resumed the responsibility of Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Graf Sprat's cabinet, it would give me great pleasure to claim credit for this, but I had little to none hand in this. Heheh The credit goes to primarily 3 parties & this is my thank you note to them all.

Firstly, to the previous cabinet; well for all intents and purposes, to Sharry - for he set the ball rolling, without any concrete support system. I myself had apprehensions about the success of the RW's; but he proved me & many others wrong & I'm glad for it. Getting allies to fight for us, at a time when they themselves are struggling against a mightier force to stay on the map - that, ladies and gentlemen, is no easy task.

Moreover, in the past our foreign policy has gone through major ups and downs, especially at times when the 'seniors' haven't been involved, and yet for Sharry to get things moving in spite of relatively less experience in FA is, in my opinion, remarkable! Full kudos to him for spearheading this effort that has sparked unprecedented amount of interest & much-needed vitality into eIndia, and has eventually led to our complete restoration! o7

As Graf has already mentioned explicitly in his Presidential Statement, this war isn't over. We are not going to ignore Pakistan's recent hostilities & we're not keen on seeking diplomatic solutions. However having said that, our primary objective in this war was the restoration of eIndia's regions. Having accomplished that, we shall continue defending our lands, but our priority shall be aiding ally battles which are more critical. Quasi imperialist ideas of 'wiping out ePakistan' may sound nice, but with them having just 1/4 original regions, its not much of a priority. How we shall proceed in the coming days are yet to be decided by the CP & his Cabinet.

My second set of thanks to our allies, without whom we simply wouldn't be here, and hell, it would be absolutely no fun! My special thanks to our dearest brother, Bulgaria; our strongest neighbor & friend, China; our long term allies, Croatia-Romania; our friends in Canada, Greece, Russia, Brazil, France, Chile; all those in other nations that have been fighting shoulder to shoulder with us, especially our old friends in Seal Team 6 US militia, jedimindtrick, and many others!

We are already in the process of renewing expiring MPP's as well as expanding our base of friendship by signing some with other EDEN/TERRA aligned nations. I thank the CP & Cabinets of the respective nations for their cooperation.

Finally a big thanks to our own eIndian Citizens, soldiers, dispatch officers - they're doing a terrific job! The MU's have been functioning more efficiently than before, and some of the Militia IRC chans are always abuzz with activity which is a a great sign for eIndia's growth and progress. No matter how strong our Foreign Affairs are, without our soldiers willing to risk pixel & finger muscles for eIndia - we'd be nothing. o7 to you all!

This month we don't have a Congress as we were wiped out prior to the elections. What direction our Foreign Policy should take is something however that requires discussion and active participation of eIndians. While this is strictly not related to my dept, I, in discussion with Graf, have initiated the process of formulating the Rajya Sabha - a mother body for Congress (Lok Sabha) from this term onwards. Active eIndians who have held past & present positions of responsibility can voice their opinions on any MPP or other Congressional discussions under the Rajya Sabha Forum section. For this term, the bulk of active members have already been added. If one is eligible & doesn't have access, please let me know.
