[Huey George] Update #5 from 10 Downing Street - March 2015

Day 2,681, 16:00 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by 10 Downing Street

Introduction

A brief update to answer some concerns raised about the referendum.

Timing and consultation of the referendum.

Day 2,659

"A national referendum will be held regarding the future our Dictatorship" - One of my Presidential Pledges as part of my campaign for the Country Presidency

Day 2,668

In my 3rd update from 10 Downing Street. I state in public "A national referendum will still be held regarding the future our Dictatorship. This referendum will be very important as it could be a case for a 'longer' term dictatorship as presented by Wayne or a return to democracy or an alternative more democratic form of dictatorship."

In the same update I state in public "Your thoughts and suggestions for the set-up / running / wording to be used for the national referendum regarding the future our Dictatorship will be especially helpful."

Day 2,676

In my 4th update from 10 Downing Street proposed a simple three option referendum. I also announce "The referendum held in an article with comments counting as votes for all to bear witness around day-change on Day 2,680 and last for 48 hours."

I am uncertain if holding a referendum later than this in my term would have been wise and the UK citizenry did help be form the options in the referendum as I'll expand on below.

The three options

From my own view there has been a fair few options discussed in public by the UK citizenry each at their simplest level each seemed to have a 'core principle' of;

"Restoring Democracy" As the trust that one individual can represent our diverse society fairly has been lost by many of our citizens. A view I have come to hold...as in the very very unlikely event I become a Dictator I would only hold the position to the 6th of April and after the front seat view of this dictatorship...it would take some very well presented reasons outside the cost to restore democracy and an undefined possible Military Take Over (MTO) threat for me to trust but the shortest of list of UK citizen none of which have any interest in becoming a Dictator

"Remain under the current Dictatorship" Primarily it seems because I am not seen as a suitable option for the Country Presidency or because Wayne maybe a good Dictator for this Country to have. However this is something I have yet to witness from Wayne and the latest from the law proposal page suggests I am unlikely to witness it...

"Elected Country President is appointed Dictator" A popular idea and passed / not passed in the form of the UK Governance Bill dependent on who you speak to and discarded by our last CP adastros. during the most important moment of the Bill's life.

I firmly believe they are all separate enough to stand on their own independently and the UK citizenry can decide their own minds with limited guidance.

These articles below are all are all examples of this and I would recommend reading them in regards to the referendum

Is UK democracy worth 200k? UK work tax changes and Help on the new missions

(UK) Dictator Shizniz and Referendum

[eUK] Full Frontal Nudity

Carrying out the will of the People

The results are the voice on the UK citizenry held in a public forum. I will of course have to discuss the result of this referendum with the Dictator, Congress and the Commanders of Military Units to help facilitate the public view.

Please make sure you have your say in our Dictatorship/Democracy Referendum.

Close

In my opinion the current Dictator needs to buck his ideas up, sort himself out, and start acting like the Dictator the United Kingdom deserves to give the its citizenry a reason not too support the press of this button.

I have done all I can and will to support this Dictatorship and will now actively support a restoration to democracy.

To those against a revolution remember like me, many of those citizens supporting a revolution where first in favour of a successful Military Coup to impose a Dictatorship, we didn't end up in one without widespread support of the UK citizenry and secondly in favour of some sort of democratic Dictatorship however we have ended up with this and this along with a whole host of inconsistent communication backed up by the fact he believes we will not remove him.

Thanks for reading
