Introduction
It has been a period of reflection, discussion and negotiation since my last update. I have taken on board many of the views offered to me from you my electorate.
Co-operation in the interest of the UK
After negotiation with our Dictator WayneKerr we have agreed that the elected Government will freely operate and my input into discussions will carry the weight of an elected CP.
In practice,
My Cabinet and I are responsible for;
Matters of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Home Affairs
Congressional inclusion and discussion
Other duties and responsibilities usually carried out by the CP's office
The Dictatorship of WayneKerr;
Implementing the law proposal as suggested by your elected Congress and I
Leading and liaising with the 'elite' of our society to further advance our nation
We will jointly share responsibility over the Country Organisations with my government free to publish via the organisations as required to keep our citizenry informed and Wayne with the oversight of the use of the organisation as advised by the admin.
While I don't find this an ideal working arrangement and the principle that any citizens contribution is more valuable than any others is against my nature, it is best for the UK that a level of mutual co-operation must be attempted by my government and Wayne's Dictatorship as we are better working together instead of opposed.
The safety of the UK is also paramount and currently the UK is safe from a foreign military coup which until the admins tinker again is critical while we seek a national consensus regarding the new dictatorship element of this 'new world'.
Referendum
A national referendum will still be held regarding the future our Dictatorship. This referendum will be very important as it could be a case for a 'longer' term dictatorship as presented by Wayne or a return to democracy or an alternative more democratic form of dictatorship.
Before we hold this referendum we need time to hold intelligent debate on this. I feel there are two small however very vocal groups one for an immediate return to democracy and the other for the continuation Wayne's dictatorship. The majority of the UK, I believe are undecided or uncertain and will ultimately be informed by our media as it is a buzz with articles sharing the thoughts of our citizenry.
However I will stress that this referendum should also not be a comparison of my elected Government vs the Dictatorship of Wayne. It should also not be a measurement of Wayne's ability to be a Country President as there are already 'new world' mechanisms to decide this in the form of the elections for the Country Presidency. I think it is also important to remember that my mandate ends on the 6th of April however our Dictatorship under Wayne has no end date so the referendum needs to decide how we as a society operate long-term to make a dictatorship work or if we return to a democracy.
Thoughts on Elitism
Only a small proportion of the UK is represented in the "Elite PM for the Elite Cabal" or the "Elite PM for the Elite Fighting Cabal". While there are mechanisms in place to try and incorporate as many as possible I don't feel this is a long term option to run, the democratic processes which still take place in the background of our dictatorship should remain paramount.
I have long respected the input and value of Congress as it is the electorate who decide the party representation of it so my decisions and input will continue to be primarily informed by all elected members of Congress and the public. However of course I need to remain open minded and listen to our 'elite' as they are citizens of the UK.

This was not the start of to term I'd anticipated and I'm still finding my feet in this situation. However I hope you feel I am fulfilling my presidential pledges to operate a fair and supportive government for the UK citizenry, ensuring the Dictator, CP office and Congress are working together to achieve outcomes as well as well as my promise to the citizenship of the UK of communication and reflection. In my efforts to reflect the majority of the eUK citizenship by working closely with the Congress chosen to represent them to choose together the direction the country heads.
As always I welcome your thoughts however please remember we need respect in public dialogue to set a positive example that elevates the quality of politics in our country. Your thoughts and suggestions for the set-up / running / wording to be used for the national referendum regarding the future our Dictatorship will be especially helpful.

Wayne's running 2 Cabals and I'm not in both? - Disgraceful - down with dictatorship.
But seriously, we've heard lots of opinions on the dictatorship issue and there are good arguments for and against on both sides. We're seeing more and more countries moving towards a dictatorship because of the risk of a foreign PTO coup.
If you look at many examples of real life dictatorships - it's very rare for one to be established, unless there is a failing of the democratic political process.

I think the current issue with the debate on the current dictatorship (similar to the current situation on the EU in the UK) is that most seem to believe either we have to put up with what we currently have or just down right end it; people forget there is one more option, change.
I personally believe that we do need to be in a dictatorship, for us and so many countries across eRepublik, it is one of the only ways to help prevent a MC from another country and I think many in the eUK would agree with that. But what people don't agree with was who is currently dictator (as lets admit it, wayne is, put nicely, not the most liked player in the eUK) and how they were chosen to be it (for me the latter). I think personally, the best way forward is to democratically elect a citizen to be the dictator for the country, who is trusted and neutral, to press the buttons (like Huey, for example). However, I think we should hold a referendum still, as after all, it is all our country and everyone should get a vote in how it is run.

Well done Huey. It must be be tricky being CP in this awkward and unprecedented situation.
My views on dictatorship (as it stands, without any further changes from Plato) are pretty simple...
1. There must be a debate and referendum on the CP vs dictator question (based on the roles, not the people currently in them)
If people choose CP over dictator, we need a mechanism to react fast to threats and get a dictator in as and when needed.
If people choose dictator over CP, we need a way of ensuring democracy still rules and dictators can be changed if necessary.
This article is a good start in the debate.
Incidentally, my starting position is to favour a permanent dictator whose actions are governed by Congress and CP. At least until Plato sorts the dictator module out and makes it less shit.

I feel you and a lot of the eUK have misunderstood what the 'Elite Cabal' is and what it was set up for. So let me explain a bit.
Those in the first 'Elite Cabal' message are those that I consder to be leaders in their various parties, MU's and/or social groups. I've also included those that are media active, own a paper and are not shy in publishing information. There is no point in bringing together a cross section of eUK, if the ideas and thoughts discussed in the messages are not published for all to see and all to discuss.
As for the 'Elite Fighting Cabal' message, there is no point having Politico's discussing how best to set up accounts and organise our damage output and direction (two things eUK has always lacked in). So I've inculded as many of eUK top fighters, top accounts and top MU's, regardless of my view on them or thier political ideals.
People have questioned the inclusion of certain people, people like Woldy (who regardless of his activity is still an influential player), Dapper and Max Blue who has only recently returned to playing. Max has already validated his inclusion with his ideas and thoughts in the mails as well as his articles. That is something that I had hoped would happen and is the sole reason why I brought those people together! I hope to see many more, from many more people. This is an important change and it deserves to have opinions and thoughts from every angle.

So the cabals are effectively like congress (if sensible congress selections were made by PPs)?
Strikes me that this is a good opportunity to encourage a decent congress to be formed, which can do the job of your elite cabals, backed up by a bit of democracy, and with the incentive of doing something meaningful rather than just grabbing 5 gold to vote yes to MPPs and bicker with each other. that improvement alone could make all this worthwhile.

Firstly I"ve agree with the most of it in this article.Also why is Rob MoD?.Don"t have intentions to offend or to show disrespect towards him or anyone else,just I"ve think that Rob isn"t the right person for the MoD should be someone more experienced,strong and serious than Rob,He isn"t either of that,cose he hadn"t have any experience in MoD hadn"t been hold role of MoD in all previous Goverment.
If you ask me who than be more suitable,I"ve think FraugUK be perfect for the MoD as he had been on MoD position several times and manage with that succssefullly.Other things in this article are alright and in place. o7
Valid points Aleks. One thing I would point out is that sometimes the best person for the job doesn't want it.
For instance, Frag, would be an amazing MoD, but maybe he doesn't want to be one this month? Its perfectly okay if he doesn't want to be, but it is something CP's have to deal with.

@douglas I am not throwing stones at the Huey,I"ve just speaking honetly and with good intentions and I am not against Huey I am for him and respect all he done for UK and for WRP.Huey is kind,honest and respectfull member of UK community and he is doing everything that he could do in this circumstances.I am giving him unconditional support for everything he is doing as well as he done so far.
