Hello eWorld,
here we are with the 5th International Press Review, brought to you by the Guild of Free Journalists (GFJ).
We are happy to see that this project is having quite a lot of success. This couldn’t have been possible without your support and your help in sharing our news.

Before letting you know the latest information from the eWorld, just some communications.

In order to improve and bring to you better news, we are looking for partners that could help us in collecting information from nations where we don’t have a National Section. It could be a great help and, as you can see below, it won’t take you too much time to provide a short report. Anyone interested to help can contact the General Chairman or the publisher of this article.

We are also running an international writing contest open both to citizens and to nations. You can find here are the details. Applications are still open!

Last but not least, don’t forget to have a look at our own page on Erepublik’s wiki.
It is an “alive” page and it is kept updated so don’t forget to check it out regularly.
You can also visit us on our Discord channel.

That’s it!
Below, you will find some updates from around the eWorld. Thank you for reading, supporting us and sharing our article and message!

eArmenia

From the press:
-An interesting article about the absurdity of war (English)

eAustria

Prince of Austria won the Elections for Country President.
The Next elections are the Political Party President elections and, if everythings goes right, big changes are not gonna happen.

From the press:
-Icarus weekly challenge by Rabbit of Caerbannog (English)
-GFJ - Month of Knowledge (English only)

eBrazil

From the press:
-Interview with Brazilian CP (Portuguese only)
-Interview with Imperador Louis Habsbourg Bourbon (Portuguese only)

eFrance

From the last Press Review, movements didn’t miss in France.
After the expulsion of Lithuania from core regions (arrived by airstrike), the nation has been very busy to defend from Asteria’s joint attack on the strategic bases in China. This time the French army had to surrender against the massive amount of power.
In the last days, core regions have been invaded also from Iran, Luckily the iranian airstrike didn’t succeed.
Talking of internal issues, the national presidency has seen a change with the election of Misterdo, for a long time Minister of Economy.
In the last week we also saw a great press revival, a sign that people are active and willing to express their opinions on actual issues.

From the press:
-About inflation (French only)
-Quel pouvoir reste-t-il vraiment au président eFrançais? (French only)
-Tour de France challenge 2 (French+English)
-GFJ - Month of Knowledge (English only)

eGermany

From the press:
- About the Housing program (German only)
-An Interview with the Minister of Foreign Affairs - 1st part (German + English)

eHungary

Despite CODE's defeats, eHungary had some good weeks: full occupation of our core regions was avoided and we even regained some of them.
The previous government also performed well, exceeding expectations in particular in public communication.
On the other hand, the new government's big task is to reorganize the training wars because the country doesn't have enough battles for everyone.
Everyone in the nation is now hoping for a calm period after great wars that hit us in the last month.

eIndia

Thanks to the event currently running, we have made another air epic with our consistent and trusted partners of eCanada. This has become a consistent feature of our TWs, with several weeks getting air epics when there are events running to support it. Air fighters from both sides have contributed significantly, making the cost burden shared between hitters of both sides.

One concern among our weapons producers is the take over of the Russian weapons region, where the tax of 25% has rendered holding companies there unusable. This has forced several producers to move to other regions that have bonuses and lower taxation.

From the press:

-GFJ - Month of Knowledge (English only)

eIreland

Since the last International Press Report, Ireland has continued working in its main military program: the Irish Air Rank Program. 22 players got their reward this week, which shows that almost every active player benefits from it in some way.

When it comes to politics, Party President elections are approaching but we also held Country President ones, in which Nerusia defeated Baron Noir 24-7. After a closer election last month (20 vs 14), it seems Eire Aonnair, the party in power, continues as strong as ever.

Finally, Ireland accepted 2 citizenship requests in the last couple of weeks: Countess of Flame (first time in Ireland) and Seth the Magnificent (a long time member of our community who has recently been President of Japan)

From the press:
-Air rank program - 168th week (English)

eJapan

eJapan got a new Country Leader and cabinet from the last elections, getting a more stable government.
Talking of culture, the Haiku contest was completed on the 6 of july, resulting in the first ever worldwide contest started by eJapan and its Ministry of Education.

Training wars are going on regularly.

From the press:
-First Haiku Contest winners (English)

eNetherlands

From the press:
-Epic program new rules (English)
-Summer Celebration: writing contest (English)

ePortugal

Training wars are going on regularly for ePortugal. Only thing to signal is that this week we had some problem with the training war with serbians: something has been messed up and it has been won at the last time by just 150 to 147.
There is a great participation also to the movements of Asteria, in order to keep under control russian resistance wars.

eSpain

From the press:
-New Government (Spanish only)
-Air Tournament (Spanish only)
Since we had the Icarus event, a citizen in Spain held a Tournament in which will take account of the won Sky Hero Medals by the participants
-Liga Pertanax Contest (Spanish only)
-Liga Pertanax Contest: how it works (Spanish only)
Liga Pertañax (part of the government) published an article about a contest, that has existed in eSpain for a while, about commenting with certain words in certain publications and articles.

eSouth Africa

From the press:
-Georgelakeland : about salaries in erepublik (English)
-Georgelakeland : how to kill joy in game (English)

eSwitzerland

Pep_369 has been elected for the first time as Swiss President.

From the press:
-Reflections about where eSwitzerland is going (English)

eTaiwan

From the press:
-New Discord bot for eTaiwan (Traditional Chinese Only)
-A big grant plan has ended (Traditional Chinese Only)

eUnited Kingdom

The UK has continued in its peaceful training wars.
Huey George from the ruling 3 party coalition easily won reelection as CP.

The only controversy is the fact that there are two challengers for the long standing Party President of the biggest party, the TUP.

There are two candidates also for the Party President of the Communist Party.
It is certain that this will be a close election as the Communist Party only has 2 members!

Figure show that the TUP has won more congress seats than any party in living memory (since proportional representation was introduced).

From the press:
-Huey re-elected (English)
-About TUP party elections (English)
-Congress seats long term trend (English)

eUnited States of America

In the eUSA, Paul Proteus returned to politics and was elected Country President, immediately sparking a flurry of activity, with eNPR resuming and Proteus himself sponsoring a writing contest.

Domestically, the eUSA Congress voted to end the D1 Housing Program, largely due to the fact that the program, which was intended to provide Q1 housing to D1 and D2 players, instead ended up sponsoring Q1 houses for D3 and D4 players due to a lack of D1 and D2 players. The short-lived program was controversial from the start, with many politicians arguing that the program simply used tax dollars to benefit those who were already wealthy, while others argued it was better to fund the program rather than simply save money and never spend it. Other Congressman argued that housing should be left to the parties rather than the government.

From the Press:
-Update from the White House Press Report (English)
-Paul Proteus: first day as CP (English)
