Oligarchy vs. Brotherhood

This morning I was put in the know by S.Ribeiro (the interim EDEN PR) that he is leaving the HQ. S.Ribeiro was my PR Assistant and became PR after I left. Even though he didn`t fully agree with how things were in the HQ he remained for a sole reason - to help EDEN the best he could. And he did a good job trying to deflate the spirits when announcing Turkey joining EDEN. I guess even he had enough with that crap and with the "good ole boys" ruling over the EDEN HQ nowadays. You can read more of it in his latest article.

Yesterday another article struck me, this one written by ShadowMJ, the Irish representative at the infamous EDEN summit which "voted" for Turkey joining EDEN skipping trial membership.
I quote:
One of the grocery clerks (note: EDEN highly influential tank) messaged me and said that if I don't vote yes, they will just get someone else from Ireland to vote yes.

😁 A clear example of how "democracy" works in EDEN. Especially when you remember hearing expressions like "brotherhood of nations" realizing that it works only for propaganda purposes - something I myself am guilty of. For more than a year I tried to present EDEN in such a light, to create an EDEN brand, something to give EDEN soldiers and citizens a reason to be proud of and to fight side by side with their foreign brothers keeping in mind that they do it for a noble cause (as much as a noble cause weights in an online game but still).
Now I realize that the EDEN I was fighting back then is no more, or maybe it has always been a dream from which I just now woke up. However nowadays we can`t call EDEN a brotherhood anymore. We can instead call it the EDEN Oligarchy.

Oligarchy (from Greek ὀλιγαρχία, oligarkhía) is a form of power structure in which power effectively rests with an elite class distinguished by royalty, wealth, family ties, commercial, and/or military legitimacy. The word oligarchy is derived from the Greek words "ὀλίγος" (olígos), "a few" and the verb "ἄρχω" (archo), "to rule, to govern, to command".

Also I sure hope that the rumors of disposing Israel are not well founded, and that as much as a few EDEN oligarchs think that Bulgarians are too noisy, we will not start selling our family, in exchange for having the Turks here. That would really make us the lowest of the low, the scum of Erepublik.

The long hard road out of hell

The sanitation has started. If my sources are correct, next week we will have a poll in Bulgaria on whether Turkey should join or not. I hope that the result of that poll will be respected and not frauded, and Turkey will be voted/or vetoed according to the poll by the Bulgarian president.
Bulgaria is the EDEN country my eyes are upon now. They can save EDEN or they can make us succumb in mediocrity. I don`t see any other country where the true EDEN spirit is more alive than in Bulgaria.

In my latest article I was presenting a way of reforming EDEN. However that is unlikely to happen any time soon. We need to sanitize this alliance first.
At the end of December/ beginning of January there will be elections for EDEN HQ. I can bet your ass that one of the "good ole boys" (Iaswn maybe) will candidate and be elected. All they have to do is convince every country president why to vote for the "right" candidate. And seeing how the Irish representative was threatened at the latest summit, I suspect blackmail and threats can be used to accomplish results, especially against smaller countries.

At the latest summit, there were 3 candidates: Iaswn, Oles & eDarkAngel - and funnily enough, the sole candidate which came with a written program was also the one who obtained the least amount of votes. Another example of "democracy" in action.
The last thing that can save our ass now is transparency:

1. Make the next EDEN HQ elections public. Show us why the countries voted for a specific candidate. Let people know who won and most important why they won. Let country presidents talk this matter to their people instead of some EDEN Adviser!

or

2. Make the whole elections public. Instead of CPs voting for the HQ, let the EDEN citizens vote instead. Let every candidate publish a program and present their team. And then let every EDEN citizen vote in an official poll for who they think it is right to rule over their destiny.

Don`t let EDEN be ruled by groups of interests anymore. Give power to the people. Give us back our values on which this great alliance was built: Respect, Loyalty, Valor, Unity, Friendship and Sacrifice!

PS: Also for the hypocrites who would gladly troll ONE but who hide the dirt under the cover when it`s about EDEN, please spare me of comments such as "ONE propaganda". There is no better ONE propaganda than to see the EDEN values walked over by a bunch of ruthless highly influential EDEN citizens who would sell their own mothers for gain, and who in this game would gladly dispose of some countries for the same purpose.
