Intro

Many of you will be aware of the up coming elections (very exciting stuff) but I think one of the biggest questions I see from the newer players is "who are these people?". Well I thought I'd take the time to interview one of the main candidates in this election:

How long have you been playing erepublik?

I'm coming up to my year anniversary which makes this election extra special for me. Largely it was the great community we have in the eUK that has kept me around for so long.

So tell us a little about yourself?

Well I've been an active member of the eUK for a long time and for those that use the IRC you'll probably see me there more often than not. Feel free to say Hi at any time.

Over my time I've held numerous government positions including; Minister of Information and Education, Minister of Legislative Affairs, under Minister of Home Affairs, Ambassador for Canada, Ambassador to ALA and under Minister of Foreign Affairs. I'm currently a member of congress making this my 5th term as a congress members. I am also a member of the eUK House of Lords which means I'm involved in reviewing legislation within the eUK and passing on my experience.

I've also been involved with the military side of the game where I am currently serving as a Special Forces member and supplier.

So, obviously the elections are the big news at the moment, so what made you decide to run?

Many in the RFA and PCP were unhappy with what they felt to be poor candidate choices this month. It was decided that we should come together and find a candidate of our own who had the qualities and experience to lead us into V2 and beyond. So they came to me and asked me to run. After careful consideration I allowed my name to be put forward and I now relish the opportunity to serve as my country's president.

What do you feel makes you a better candidate than the other two?

I feel I am the most reliable and stable candidate, I plan for the long term and my goals are realistic. My plans and policies are obtainable and have not been impractical or misleading. I also believe I have communicated my message well, and I have a friendly attitude towards people of all experience levels, and always try to get the best out of people. I have the motivation, the determination and the vision to take our country forward.

As can be seen by a recent forum poll, people like to see cabinets released before an election. An election this tight could therefore come down to cabinets. When will you be releasing your cabinet and also do you think it gives people a reason to vote for you?

I will be releasing my cabinet some time soon and yes I feel it gives a very good reason for people to vote for me. I have some well known names who have great expertise in the areas they have been given. I also have 1 or 2 new faces who have proven themselves with vast amounts of past experience. This combination will be what is needed to take us into Version 2 and make sure the eUK is a dynamic and dominant nation.

If you had to sum up your policies in four bullet points what would they be?

*Preparation
*Modernisation
*Forward thinking
*Community

Thank you John. I wish you luck in the election
