Join the new world

I have not written a non-manifesto article in quite some time, so here I go making use of this newspaper. When I was uMoHA for Education and the Minister of Communications, I wrote dozens of informational guides for new players. MoHA still gets some articles out from time to time, many of which are recycled from my previous articles. But I figured that I might as well get out an article to test out this new media module, which shall be the topic of this article.

So, what has changed about the Media Module? First, that green button where you can find your subscriptions is now gone. And the news section of the home page is completely different. Now there are 7 options, 6 of which are new categories which organise newspaper articles, and the 7th and bottom choice is where you can find your subscriptions. So let's break down the categories.


First Steps in eRepublik.
This is where you will find the guides and tutorials for new players. This article is categorised here. This is a great place to start if you are new or need a refresher. It will probably include articles talking about changes to eRepublik, such as the article you are reading.


Battle Orders
Needless to say, this is where the Ministry of Defence will have their military orders catergorised under. Check this out to know where to fight, and be sure to subscribe to their newspaper to have updates.


Warfare Analysis
This category will have articles that discuss the latest events on the military campaigns in the eUK and across the world. If you want to know what battles are going on and how the eWorld and its alliances are affected by these events, you can find articles here.


Political Debates and Analysis
This is where you are going to find both political manifestos and analysis of elections and what the government is doing. During election time, especially Congress Elections, the media is flooded with articles, so hopefully this will store all those manifestos in one handy category.


Financial Business
This section deals with economic matters. Whether it is about the unstable monetary market or new job offers with great benefits or perhaps an analysis on the state on the country's finances, this is where you'll find out all the articles on money.


Social Interactions and Entertainment
I believe this will most likely turn into the "none of the above" category. Based on what I have seen, this category is where people talk about their ideas on how to improve eRepublik. But in the future, I am sure the Ministry of Home Affairs will use this category to announce the games and entertainment they are planning.


Newspaper Subscriptions
This is where you will find a list of the latest articles from newspapers you are subscribed to. Be sure to subscribe to the important government newspapers!


This covers the changes to the Media Module. There are no changes to the mechanics of writing an article. I will likely write a guide to writing articles in a future week. While mentioning the future, I will say that I will be publishing a new guide every Friday. Next week will cover the marketplace.
