Guide to the Marketplace

The marketplace is where you can purchase all the products you need to live in eRepublik. This guide will show you what you can find on the marketplace and what each product does. To go to the marketplace, just go to the Market tab and click Marketplace.


Food
Food is essential for day to day life. You must consume food to maintain your wellness. Each quality of food gives you 2 health. The star represents the quality, so 2 stars is Q2 food, which will give you 4 health. You can do the maths. Remember, you lose health at the beginning of each day, and for every time you work, train and fight. You can consume 300 health of food a day.


Weapons
Weapons are used to increase your damage in the battlefield. For every quality, you get 1 usage and 20% increase in damage. So, a Q4 weapon can be used in 4 fights and will give you an 80% increase. It usually is not worth buying weapons while fighting, especially when you need to consider using money to consume food.


Moving Tickets
Moving tickets are needed so that you can change the location of your region and/or country. All regions in the eUK need a Q1 ticket in order to move, but the further you want to travel, the high quality the ticket needs to be to cover that distance. Also, the quality has an effect on your health. Q1 causes you to gain 1 health but lose 4 (for a total of 3 lost), Q2 has 2 increase, 3 lost, and so on.


Houses
Houses are another (but more expensive) way of receiving health. For each quality, you gain 10 health and the duration of the house lasts 10 days. Think of it more like renting, as the house expires after a certain amount of days. You receive this at daychange, so if you have a Q3 house, make sure you have 70 health so you can get the full use of it.


Hospitals
Hospitals are bought by the government to be placed in a region. If that region is under attack, the hospital can be used to heal people. Each quality has 1 use 5,000 health. So for example, a Q4 hospital will be able to be used 4 times and have 20,000 health. Each use equals 10 health. However, hospitals are very rare to find, and are used up in seconds, so don’t waste your time thinking about this.


Defence Systems
Like hospitals, defence systems are bought by the government to be used in a battle. If the region is attacked, this is used to increase defence. Each quality provides 1 use and 10,000 defence points, so a Q3 defence system can be used in 3 battles and have 30,000 defence points. Just like hospitals, these are pretty much useless.


Iron
This is the raw material companies buy to create weapons. Note that all raw materials have no quality, so every company that produces a raw material will be considered a Q1.


Oil
This is the raw material companies buy to create moving tickets.


Stone
This is the raw material companies buy to create houses, hospitals and defence systems.


Grain
This is the raw material companies buy to create food.

There have been plans to change the raw materials, but so far this has not been implemented so that has been ignored. This covers all the products found on the marketplace. Next week’s guide will cover the battlefield.
