What is the U.S. game plan?

Britain is no doubt still in our cross hairs, we would very much love to seek revenge on our old foe. Jewitt put it in our national goals to have two British territories - Northern Ireland and London by day 776 (16 days from now). If Jewitt is able to pull that invasion off, he will certainly go down in history as a great president. On the other hand... Phoenix will be safeguarding the U.K. and Japan. I have been informed that, for the immediate future, another invasion of Japan is not likely. Japan was our stepping stone to Asia - now we must regroup and stay at home to kick the U.K. off our lawn.

I have advocated for quite some time now that we take the Azores, and now that our treaty with Portuguese is done with we could use this opportunity to take those Atlantic isles. However, if the U.K. is indeed where we are headed then we should simply focus on that. Citizens should be asked to conserve their gun use and get ready for the major war to come. There needs to be some calm before the storm so that we may adequately prepare - a week at most (there should be plenty of our allies fighting in other wars to keep us busy [hopefully] until the actual invasion). Though I actually believe that we may dash right into war with the U.K. - hopefully we do not see a repeat of the situation in Japan (to be fair, that was also a very special situation).

Cheat sheet:

- With almost 9 hours left in fighting in Massachusetts all areas except underground have been captured except the underground and the points stand definitively in our favor at -1,799,428.

- The President has yet to open New Jersey, Delaware, and Connecticut up for reconquest but will likely do so later on today. Mr Woldy, the U.K. president, expects the British occupied states to be soon recovered by the U.S. He also says "But in the meantime, over in Phoenix HQ, we'll be partying hard."

- No word from the Admin as to whether or not the eU.S. was cheated out of overtime in the battle in Kyushu, Japan. Tall_niki of Greece has an in depth article on the battle which you can read here.

- President Jewitt discusses the Japan matter here.

- A good account of what went wrong in Japan can be found in the Defense Intel Review by Aeros can be read here.

- Certain congressmembers have called for the impeachment of Jewitt over the Japanese situation, though little will likely come of it. Party leaders tend to not be behind this; DanielCD, President of the Libertarian Party, has advocated that any congressmembers who call for such action should not be re-elected.

- Gaius Julius, former president, has written an article regarding Japan (2 days old but still relevant), read it here.

- GLaDOS, the puppet master of Phoenix and the now defunct PEACE, and other high ranking Phoenix members have been posting many articles of propaganda touting the victory in Japan. The often one picture, pun intended, articles make for good, mindless laughs and bragging in the comments section, but lack any real substance. Mr Woldy, U.K. president has a much more eloquent account of the recent happenings from a Phoenix perspective, click here for that.
